The red flame in the sky is getting larger.
Xianghui begins to run away from the flame. “Is that… a meteor? I don't remember this in Anime Crusades…” Xianghui thought. Xiang could feel the heat on his back. It was over for him if the heat got any closer. Xiang looks back at the gleaming flame.
Xiang’s vision flashes. The heat suddenly stops. Hundreds of sand grains fly towards Xiang. Bracing himself, he covers his face. When the sand settles, he sees someone.
“Close one there… It almost consumed a bunch of humans!” the person said.
Stuck in the ground, a red sword with flames was pulled out of the mound of sand left by the monster. Suddenly the flames extinguished from the blade as the person sheathed the handle. The person turns around, glaring at Xianghui. Their crimson eyes glowed in the dark, which revealed long flowing red hair on their head.
“Now, did you spawn this monster…?” They asked while sprinting at Xiang.
Xiang’s eyes widened at the sudden accusation and started breathing rapidly. He reactively begins to run away from the person. The person unsheathed their blade and reactivated the blade with maroon flames. Surprisingly, they could maintain a steady speed even when wielding the blade. Xianghui looks back, seeing the blade-bearing individual rapidly approaching him. He then uses Aura to double jump, then attaches himself to a nearby building, and begins to run up it. Swiftly following Xiang, the person jumps up at the building, quickly catching up to Xiang. Confused townspeople crowd around the building to see the chase.

“Isn’t that…” a Townsperson says.
“Valerie? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her outside of books about the Royal Family…” another Townsperson said.
Xianghui worriedly looks behind him again and sees Valerie on his tail. Xianghui immediately releases the aura that tethered him to the wall and propels himself off the wall and back onto the ground. Xianghui’s pulse gets faster as he tries to process why the person he doesn’t even know is chasing him. Valerie jumps down from the building and begins searching. Jumping onto signs on the street advertising businesses to the streetlamps, Xianghui could see the figure in the distance, with their blade glowing in the night. Xianghui then jumps into an empty carriage, looking for weapons. Xianghui finds 3 knives, and he proceeds to try to escape the carriage with them. Then, he looks up.
“Answer my question.”
Xianghui hurriedly throws a knife at Valerie as he breaks through the wall of the carriage and attempts to run. The knife is caught by Valerie, and she dips it in her blade.
“I can see you… from anywhere,” she said ominously while going opposite of Xiang in an attempt to ambush him.Xianghui worriedly looks back, relieved to see that he got away from Valerie.
“Who even was that…” He says as he leans towards a building to give himself some time to breathe. Suddenly, a knife is thrown from the alleyway beside him. Barely missing his head, the knife pinned his shirt to the wall he was leaning on. Trying to pull the knife out, he couldn’t because of the sheer amount of Aura imbued in it.
“Now… I’ll repeat myself one last time. Did you or did you not… Summon that sand creature?”
