Chapter 29: Trying out the new spirit guardians.

Inside the blood-sucking tree of spiritual recovery, Will had finally finished recuperating and snapped out of his meditation skill, and stood up.

Will's pov.

“Yawn!” Man, that session of meditation felt way more different than I had thought meditation would be like. It was so fucking relaxing to meditate and I am feeling very refreshed after snapping out of my meditation session.

“Hmm, it looks like I'm also all healed up now, though this new body of mine is still difficult to get used to”. I muttered to myself as I stretched the weirdly flexible clunky-looking wooden arms of my vessel body.

Man, I must say I still don't get how this clunky wooden vessel without a face can not only move fluidly and flexibly but also somehow has visual, hearing, and smelling senses which just doesn't make sense.

But man am I so happy that this body has no sense of feeling or pain reception as I would have probably screamed like a baby in that last fight I had using my vessel against the stone-carrying snakes and Earthen Skin Serpents where I had gotten one of my arms almost separated from my body.

“Brr! Man I get the chills just thinking about the kind of pain I could have felt if I had pain reception in this vessel body. ”

Anyway, let's go and try out my new spirit guardians as I am dying to try out an idea of mine.

As I thought that I immediately started to head out of the blood-sucking tree of spiritual recovery' tree hollow. After traveling a decent distance away from the tree hollow so as not to disturb the currently evolving spirit wisps while testing out my new spirit guardians.

After I summoned the three new spirit guardians I decided to take a peek at what the spirit guardian title in their status pages had been about as I hadn't taken a look at it before as I was still recovering.

Spirit Guardian

Description: A title only to spirit-type creatures who have been summoned as a spirit guardian by a spirit race member.

It grants the following benefits and penalties.

1. Locked Level and Grade: This penalty would lock the spirit guardians' level and grade.

2. Evolver: This Benefit allows the spirit guardian to be able to be evolved by its master in exchange for half the amount of soul fragments.

3. Soul Bound: This Benefit allows the spirit guardian to be soul bound to its master meaning that even after death as long its master is alive it won't move on to the cycle of life and death, instead becoming able to be resurrected by its master.

4. Intertwined Fate: This is a special penalty applied only to spirit guardians who are contracted to a progenitor. This penalty makes it so that the spirit guardian is unable to ever break their contract and will share their life and death with their master. Meaning that should the master ever die the spirit guardians would also die instead of just having their contract broken.

Oh wow! This title gives some very juicy benefits and even its penalties are not that bad since the benefits are better than the penalties. Also, that last penalty is only a penalty for the spirit guardian as it's more of a benefit for me since I get the full loyalty of my spirit guardian because of it regardless of the situation. Alright now let's try out some skills, shall we.

“Oh wait a sec I think I need to give my four spirit guardians some names as it feels uncomfortable just calling their species all the time. ” After I had this idea I started to deeply think of what names to use before deciding on what names to use.

“Alright I have decided Spirit swallow you will be called Emerald, Spirit lizard you will be called Blaze, Spirit snake you will be called Aqua and Mini rock golem you will be called Ruin. ”

“So guys what do you think of your new names? ”

As I asked my four spirit guardians this question I soon received a feeling of contentment from the link between us.

“Okay now Ruin, use your Boulder Crush on that small boulder over there”.

As I gave my order Ruin's magic runes started to glow again for a bit then he jumped high up in the air before his limbs retracted into his body and his runes glowed a little for a bit again in the sky before he started to fall rapidly rising in speed towards the small boulder in a speed which could clearly not have been achieved by just gravity as he fell as if like a gunshot shot from the sky and created a small crater when it hit and the small boulder had been shattered into pieces.

“Oh holy moly man that was stronger than what I had expected from this skill, I clearly underestimated it since it was just rank F. ”

“Alright, Blaze and Aqua use your active skills to attack Ruin and Ruin use Stone Body to defend. ”

As I finished commanding them, Blaze and Aqua immediately shot towards Ruin while he stood his ground as his magic runes glowed once again but this time they did not disappear and continued to shine bright. Just as Blaze and Aqua's attack finally met Ruin a clanging sound resounded for a sec before the magic rune's light disappeared from around Ruin and Blaze and Aqua once again did a quick successive attack which finally managed to damage Ruin a little.

“Ok, Blaze and Aqua stop now. ”

Hmm looks like Ruin managed to stop both Blaze and Aqua's attacks once then when they attacked again in quick succession that is quite strong and it looks like Ruin's Reconstruction skill is also working fine.

“Hmm alright let's try out how strong the other spirit guardians skills are while I wait for Ruin to recover so he can use his Earth affinity skill. ”
