A note on skill evolution.
A skill can be evolved in three possible ways. The first is through evolution as when an individual evolves there's a certain chance that the individual's previous skills will be upgraded to a higher rank to match the individual's new strength. The second way is through the use of special materials which complement well with a skill to upgrade that skill. The third and last way is by sacrificing a less useful skill for skill points or if the individual is lucky they may have got some free skill points then they can use that to upgrade the skill though that's not recommended as other than progenitors other creatures can't get skill points on each level up so every skill point is priceless to them.
Chapter 13: New skills
At the time when Will had finished naming all of the newborn spirit wisps the night had passed and three stars which were of amber, emerald, and sapphire colors respectively which seemed to scream at Will the fact that he was indeed in another world.
Hmm, now that I think about it I had actually not paid attention to the fact that there were three different colored stars here instead of one sun like it was on earth. Well anyways let's not get distracted since thinking about the fact that I am in another world won't exactly help me get back to earth or survive here for that matter.
Then snapping my attention back to the newborn spirit wisps who were currently extremely excited at being named or at least that's what I think they are happy about. “Anyways listen kids I want you all to go and kill the small animals in the vicinity of the bloodsucking tree of spiritual recovery to gain experience points but remember to always stay near the tree or you will be hunted down by the surrounding monsters, am I understood?”.
As I finished talking, Loretta, who I think has become the leader of the first generation spoke to me on behalf of all the newborn spirit wisps. “My lord you need not worry as we will all make sure that we do not go too far from the holy tree”. Then after she said that she seemed to instruct the other newborn spirit wisps as all of them followed her out of the tree hollow to hunt the surrounding animals for experience points. Though it looks like Loretta and the other newborn spirit wisps seem to see the bloodsucking tree of spiritual recovery as a holy tree which is quite ironic as it's more like a demonic tree than a holy tree but I guess it's also kind of a holy tree for spiritual creatures since it only benefits us spiritual creatures.
Alright then since the newborn spirit wisps are busy right now with their task let's check out my new system notifications. Then as I mentally opened the notification box which was full of system messages, many system notifications flooded my vision.
SYSTEM NOTIFICATION
Congratulations to the host for acquiring a new Ex-rank skill.
Skill archives (Ex) lvl.1
This skill allows the user to archive all of their race members including the user's skills in an independent skill storage library which the user can access whenever they like to borrow their fellow race member's skills or if the user wants they can also grant a degraded version of their skill to a race member. (Warning: At level 1 the skill can only grant one permanent degraded copy skill to five race members and title skills including racial skills cannot be copied and only skills up to C-rank or less can be copied at the current skill level.)
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
Hmm, this skill is really quite overpowered since it basically allows me to have access to an entire sentient race's worth of skills which means that the stronger my race becomes the stronger I will be and in the case that I get an extremely powerful skill then I can grant it to my race members and then even if it is degraded it will still be very powerful and this function of the skill can also serve as a way of rewarding the spirit wisps who did exceptional work. Anyways Let's look at the other system messages.

Congratulations to the host for unlocking the main quest (The return of the spirits).
Main quest: The return of the spirits
Part 1: The rise of a new city-state.
* Establish a village with a population of 1000. (150/1000)
Completion reward: unknown
So this is the main quest that the blue orb had told me about, it looks like I have to create a village with a population of 1000 to proceed which is quite a long ways still so let's put that aside for now. Let's see what new skills have I obtained after evolving into a lesser guardian dryad after all I couldn't take a look before as I had fallen unconscious before I could.
These are the new skills that the host obtained after their successful evolution into a lesser guardian dryad.
Water bullet (E) lvl.1
This skill allows the user to use mana to create bullets of water to shoot at its enemies to attack and if the user hasn't unlocked mana yet then it will also unlock the user's mana pool to allow the user to use the skill.
Cost: 2 mana per bullet
Earth bullet (E) lvl.1
This skill allows the user to use mana to create bullets made of earth to launch at the user's enemies and if the user hasn't unlocked mana yet then it will also unlock the user's mana pool to allow the user to use the skill.
Cost: 2 mana per bullet
Fireball (E) lvl.1
This skill allows the user to use mana to create orbs made of fire to launch at the user's enemies and if the user hasn't unlocked mana yet then it will also unlock the user's mana pool to allow the user to use the skill.
Cost: 2 mana per ball
Wind blade (D) lvl.1
It's the wind slash skill that was upgraded due to evolution. This skill allows the user to not only create and launch sharp blades made of wind at their enemies but also create stronger and more stable wind blades which the user can control in any way they wish to attack their enemies and these enhanced wind blades can reconstruct themselves as long as the user provides them with mana.
Cost: ranged(1 mana per blade) and melee(3 mana initially and 1 mana for each reconstruction)
Plant binding (E) lvl.1
This skill allows the user to control the plants around them to bind and trap their enemies.
Cost: 1 mana per second
Wow, it's dazzling so many new skills and all of them are extremely useful skills that can help me fight. Also, it looks like the wind slash skill I had has been upgraded to D-rank which unlocked a way for me to manually control these wind blades instead of just being able to launch them in a straight line. I can now curve them and even use them for defence if I want to.
Hmm well since then let's go out and try these new skills on some animals. As I thought that I walked out of the tree hollow giddy with excitement like a kid who has gotten new toys to play with.
