Chapter 624

"Look at what you're saying. As if they could even hold a candle to you." He clasped her slender hand tightly, bringing it to his lips for a gentle kiss. "Don't you want to hear about my story with Fiona?"

"Not interested." Eliza couldn't muster an ounce of enthusiasm. She even felt that Casper was bringing this up just to get under her skin, her eyebrows knitting together in irritation. "Casper, if you're so keen on sharing your little bedroom escapades with Fiona, why not record a video and have it played on the Falconridge Central Plaza's big screen on a loop? Don't come to me for validation."

He frowned, but couldn't really blame Eliza for jumping to conclusions. She insulted him, mocked him, and he could take it. All he wanted was for her not to ignore him. "There was nothing between her and me. You're the only woman for me."

Hearing this, Eliza felt like her ears were being assaulted. How could he say such things so casually? Wasn't he worried about karma?

"Then tell me, if you haven't been with Fiona, where did that boy come from? Did he just fall out of the sky?"

"He's not my son," he insisted.

Eliza yanked her hand back and slapped Casper across the face. "If he's not your son, then how is he a match for Brock? If not yours, then whose?"

That slap left Casper speechless. He held Eliza's hand pathetically and even slapped himself lightly on the face. "It's really not mine. If you don't believe me, I'll do a paternity test with him."

"Cut the drama." She was deeply hurt, feeling like Casper was playing an emotional game with her. "Casper, you just want to lift me high and then let me crash down. And if I'm not mistaken, you're planning our wedding too, right?"

He was indeed planning it. He wanted to give her something special. Not as a compensation, but because he truly wanted a grand wedding with her.

"Yeah," he nodded.

"And then what? Pull a disappearing act at the wedding? Have all of Falconridge laugh at me for being a jilted bride? Didn't see your old flame coming back early, did you?" She sneered, her eyes devoid of emotion. "So your little scheme got cut short. Disappointed, huh?"

"Your imagination is running wild," he remarked, thinking she had the potential to be a screenwriter.

Eliza gave a slight smirk. "Now you're here, thinking the game ended too soon, feeling regretful, like it was all too boring. Trying to win back my heart with fake sincerity, only to push me off the edge when I'm at my happiest, right?"

Casper shook his head, feeling the

weight of what he'd caused. He pulled her into his arms, patting her back with a heavy heart. "I'm sorry It's my fault. I didn't realize how much this would affect you. Don't worry, I'll sort things out with Fiona. We won't split. We need to stay together and make things right."

"Enough, Casper." Eliza couldn't bear listening to more of his insincere promises. She shoved him away, her eyes blazing with anger. "I'm done playing games with you. Actually I've got nothing to lose. I've got two sons, money, and my mom's company. I can live perfectly fine on my own. I don't need a man or a marriage. Goodbye, and let's never meet again." noveldrama

She reached for the car door, only to find it locked. She couldn't get out.

She pounded on the car window in frustration, emotions boiling over. "Open the door, I want to get out." "Elle..." He was in agony, feeling helpless.
