I had been watching the mummy for a few days. It looked like nobody needs to take care of her because she was a badass. She had been hunting with Helen for the past few days. Her agility and quick thinking made up for her small stature and short reach. I got a chance to watch her hunt a deer by herself. She used her bandages to swung on trees and also choke the deer with it. Her small size and big eyes remind me of a spider monkey.
Helen also grew stronger since her evolution. She hunted wolf packs by herself. She and her unicorn decimated them. Her weapon of choice was daggers made from her new found skill [Shadow Mastery]. Her unicorn wasn't a slouch either It used its horns to stampede through enemies and its hoofs to trample all over the enemies. They were an unstoppable combo.
A new mummy spawned a few days ago. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry when I saw him. It was an old man. I didn't even know he was there until Mike point it out. There he was crawling on the sand outside of the mastaba. He couldn't even walk before I gave him a cane. He looked like a feeble old man with his hunched back and scrawny limbs. What good is [Limit Break] if your body looked like it's about to break? Well, I shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
Frank's squad found a small settlement near the mushroom grove. It was a mushroom tribe. They were cute in a dangerous sort of way. Their small size, big round eyes, and toxic, acidic, fiery breath made reminded me of a teddy bear, a psychopathic teddy bear. There might be a guardian living there.
I sent Frank's squad, Butch, Helen, and her mummy to investigate. It was overkill but, I can never be too careful. The moment the undead got close to the settlement they began attacking. Well, fight fire with fire. Since they were using literal fire, I let Butch threw his firebomb as a way to fight back.
They attacked with their crude wooden spear and breath attack. Frank was at the front line defending with Butch and Helen by his side throwing explosive and daggers. The skeleton archer was in the back sniping mushroom left and right while the mummy was running around maiming and choking mushrooms. The mushrooms attacked by using their numbers, for every one the undead take down two would take its place.
It was a good thing that they were undead because the mushroom not only had breath attacks, they also had gas attacks. The gases didn't affect them since they were undead, other creature would have probably died of poisoning, toxic cloud, or fell asleep from sleeping gas.
The number of mushrooms started to diminish. There was a mushroom at the back holding a staff that was commanding the other mushrooms. It had a black cap with red spots and a skull symbol on it. The only thing it was missing was red arrows pointing at it to know that it was the boss.

The skeleton archer hit the boss with explosive arrows. It was pissed, it chanted and its staff start to glow black. The black light hit right on the skeleton chest. It did absolutely nothing. Everyone was confused by it. The boss, the archer, and the undead squad. They were waiting for something to happen, but it never did. The mushroom even hit its staff a few time to check if it worked.
The undead squad continued to systematically slaughter the mushroom until eventually, they killed the boss. It ended quite anticlimactically. As long as we won and the undead was unharmed. It was time to search for loot and corpse absorption time. They gathered the mushroom corpses and the guardian's chest and brought it back to the dungeon.

The Forest Sage?
The Forest Sage Treasure?
That was the purpose of those books. Neat. I should probably look into that treasure. Before that, I needed to add a new room in the dungeon. Some idea popped into my head thanks to the forest sage book. The mana increase will help me make the idea a reality.
First, I added three new desert rooms on the second floor. Just like that 90 mana went poof. I also created broken stone pillars and columns to resemble ruins. Since every great desert always had ruins on them, I also spawn a few mummies to wander around the ruins. Lastly, something that I wasn't too sure I should create. I created a wooden wagon. I put alcohol and potions inside it.
I asked the old man mummy and the two mummies that spawned out of the mastaba to roam around the desert with the wagon. They agreed and started doing that immediately. It was then pulled by the two mummies, while the old man sat on the driver seat.
It was time to search for the forest sage treasure. It was pretty easy to look for since we had the map. After the undead followed it, the treasure chest was beneath a tree stump. The chest contains a book and a green orb. Hopefully, all of my question about the forest sage and the guardian will have an answer after I absorb the treasure.
