A boss, who should I pick?
Well, not like it matters right now since I probably don't have enough mana anyway.
Let's take a look at it.
Construction
Room (20x20ft): 20 mana (Unavailable)
Corridor (10ft): 10 Mana
1st Floor Boss Room (20x20ft): 60 mana (One Time Purchase)
What, the boss room cost triple a room!
Boss Room
A room created specially made to protect the dungeon and hinder intruders from reaching the next floor. The monster assigned as the boss will have its soul bound to the room. The room changed designs based on boss skills and specialty. Boss monster will evolve. Afterward, it cannot evolve or get stronger.
Soul Bounded.
Teleport to the boss room when intruders attack.
Revived from death after death timer run out. (1 hour)
Monster Evolution.
Room Transformation.
Ok, so that's why it cost more than a regular room. It can transform the room, evolve the monster, and also revived the monster. Of course, it's going to be expensive. But there are things that I need to think about before picking the boss monster. The fact that the monster can't get stronger or evolves after becoming the boss worries me. In exchange for short-term power-up, the boss monster can't get stronger long-term. The boss monster can't get stronger, is the system talking about the boss physical strength? If so, good tactics and strategies can help the boss monster become stronger.
How would the room transformation works? Will the room begin to change after I picked the boss monster? Also, I want to see how the boss monster revive. Well not like any of this would matter if I don't have at least 70 mana to make the boss room and a corridor to connect it to the dungeon. 70 mana is a lot of mana I would need the undead to gather and kill a lot of things to get that much mana, better get started then. I told the undead to gather as much mana as they can. After a long and uneventful day, they return with trees, herbs, mushroom, and dead animals ranging from wolves, deers, and fish. All of the things they brought just barely reached 72 mana, so now I have enough mana to build the boss room and corridor.
The boss room looks like a regular white room. I can't change anything, it looks like it would change after I put in the boss. I finally added the boss room to where the core room was previously placed. Now it's time to ask the most important question, who should be the boss for this floor? I should probably ask all the undead to know if they interested in taking the job. I hope the original trio undead won't take the job since I believe they have a lot of potentials but if they accepted I won't get mad, disappointed maybe but not mad. I first ask Frank if he wants to be the boss monster.
"Frank do you want to be the boss monster for the 1st floor?"
"Master I am honored that you would choose me to be the boss monster. But I must decline your generous master, I believed that I would help you more by training my troops and help you gather mana."
"Ok, Frank if that is your decision," I said while smiling.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"How about you Helen do you want to be the boss monster?"
"*Clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack*," she said while shaking her head.
"Can you please translate for me Frank," I said to Frank, but I can probably guess what her answer was.
"She said that no my lord, she enjoys exploring the world more rather than becoming the boss."
"Ok, I understand."
"What about you Butch, are you interested in becoming the boss?"
"Yes Boss," he said while grinning like a child.
"Can you said that one more time?" I asked surprised that he was interested in becoming the boss.
"Yes Boss, I would like to be the boss monster."
"You know that you're going to spend most of your time in the boss room right? Are you sure you want to be the boss? Won't you get bored?" I asked trying to change his mind.
"Yes Boss, I'm sure. I'm an indoor person I don't really like the outside and being the boss means I can spend my time eating mineral, so I won't be bored."
"Ok then," I said in surrender since it looks like he already made up his mind.
That means I didn't have to ask the other undead since Butch seemed adamant in becoming the boss. When a blue screen popped up in front of me asking who do I want as a boss I picked Butch. Butch body began to light up and he began changing. I would never get tired of this transformation, it would be even better if Butch was a girl with magical power, but this looks cool too. After the light disappears Butch clothes changes, he now wore a dark green leather armor with black combat boots and black leather gloves looks like the gloves and boots have metals inside of it. He also wore a black belt that has small bags attach to it, inside of the small bags different kinds what I'm guessing bombs. I guess it's easier to understand if I just look at his information.
Monster Status Name: Butch Race: Undead (Bomb Technician) Information A dungeon undead created with mana from Adam Undead Dungeon. He is the 1st-floor boss monster. Bomb Technician is an undead monster that use magical bombs to defeat their enemies. Bomb Technician really likes explosion. Skill [Zombie Virus II] [Limit Break] [Self Destruct] [Explosive Fist] [Bomb Creation]
Bomb Creation Active Skill Level: MAX
This skill allows Butch’s to create different kinds of bombs using magic.
Impact Bomb: Bomb that explodes upon impact.
Timer Bomb: Bomb that has a timer that explodes when the timer runs out.
Landmine: Bomb that explodes when triggered.
Incendiary Bomb: Bomb that causes fire upon impact.
Poison Bomb: Bomb that releases a poisonous gas upon impact.
Frank and Helen congratulate Butch for his evolution and new position. After that, they went to the graveyard room to sleep. I stayed in the boss room to take a look at Butch's new ability. The previously white room begin to change. Trees begin to grow inside the room, the floor becomes uneven and ores and mineral veins begin to cover the walls. So the room change to Butch preferences and also his skill set.
Since he likes ores and minerals the walls are covered with them. Trees can help him stay hidden from the enemies and if they tried to hide in the forest he can burn it or poison it using his bomb. The uneven grounds also helps with the landmines since this place looks like a mini forest uneven grounds are everywhere he can place mines easily here. This boss room is really convenient.
Butch begins to throw his bombs everywhere to test them out. He starts with his impact bombs, he looks happy when explosion began to happen. He also used his incendiary bombs, the trees start to catch on fire. This doesn't look good, he throws his other bombs at random while laughing maniacally. I have a bad feeling about this. He tried to figure out his Timer bomb, he didn't change the timer it was set to 1 second before exploding and he turns it on.
What happened next looks like a small nuclear explosion. The timer bomb exploded on his face which triggered the other bombs to explode and Butch died causing another explosion to happen. The room now has a huge crater and fire burning everywhere.
"Mike, I think we are screwed."
Yes, I think so too.
