Chapter 18 - Lifeless

Adam, are you okay?

"I'm fine, why are you asking Mike?"

You looked crazier than usual. You seemed very happy when you killed those adventurers.

"My instinct told me that tanker is a harem leader and you know the old saying about harem leaders? A good harem leader is a dead harem leader."

Wow, that's dark but, somehow I agree with that statement.

"Mike I welcome you to the anti harem alliance. Now with that out of the way, let's take a look at our harvest."

"I learned two things today. One, there are humans in this world. Two, those adventurers were idiots."

There are humans, elves, and dwarves in this world. There are also beast kin, green skin race, and other minor species. They were kind of foolish.

Those adventurers were dumb. They enter a dungeon without any information, they didn't pace themselves, controlled by their emotions, and their supplies weren't made to raid a dungeon. I need to take care of their bodies so that people don't find me. After hearing from Helen about the adventurers just leaving a decoy with bite marks and scratches won't work since it looks like they can handle them. I should just put adventurer corpses and the giant owl corpse near the pond, so it'll look like they kill each other. But it'll only be a temporary solution. I need to finish my second floor because sooner or later they will find me, so I need to be ready when that time comes."So this world has the usual fantasy race."

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"Mike, how much mana do I currently have?"

You currently have 192 mana

"That doesn't sound right. My remaining mana, after I had finished the second floor, my mana was five mana. So I should have 171 mana, not 192 mana."

You forgot to count the mana that your monster give you when they die. When the zombie squad died you absorbed them for half their cost. You usually don't notice since the mana they give was negligible.

"That changes everything. I have an idea for the third floor now, that can strengthen my monster and give me a lot of mana. No, no, no don't get distracted I need to finish what I'm doing right now."

I should continue creating my second floor. The only thing I have right now is a room connecting the second floor to the first floor and the core room.

"Mike, I want to make the second floor into a desert theme dungeon, how do I do that more specifically how do I create a desert room?"

There are four types of desert layout that you can create, such as a hot, cold, semi-arid, and coastal desert. But I'm guessing you probably want to know about the hot desert?

"I didn't know that there are different types of desert. Yes, I want to make a hot desert."

It's pretty easy actually. You only need to create a sandy or dry land, place fire crystals on the ceiling and the underground of the room. That will create a room that resembles a desert.

After learning how to create a desert room, I tried to create one by myself. First, I placed fire crystals on the ceiling and underground. Second, I began to shape the room using sand and dry land I created small hills and barren land. Third, I added two more room and corridors with the same design but with slight variations. Lastly, I added patches of grass, trees, and a small lake with fishes to create an oasis. All of this expansion cost me 150 mana. The rooms and corridors were by far the most expensive since it needed 30 mana for a desert room and 20 mana for a desert corridor. To create an oasis, it took me 20 mana.

Construction Upgrades

Bar (Oasis Room): 10 Mana (Condition: Unlocked an Oasis Room)

Inn (Oasis Room): 10 Mana (Condition: Unlocked an Oasis Room)

Smithy (Oasis Room): 10 Mana (Condition: Unlocked an Oasis Room)

...

Mastaba (Desert Room): 20 Mana (Condition: Unlocked a Desert Room)

"Mike, what's a mastaba and more importantly when will I get a body?"

A mastaba is a tomb used by the people on the southern continent. It's a graveyard. You can purchase an avatar when you reach the fifth floor.

Damn, it's still a long way before I'll be able to drink liquor, I should buy the bar to prepare for when that time comes. I should also buy the mastaba since it's a graveyard I might be able to spawn a new type of undead. Other than that the other construction upgrades wouldn't benefit me all that much.

"I'll purchase the bar and the mastaba then."

Name Your Bar

"Mike, men are often asked what is the most important day in their life?"

"The day they met their loved one."

"The day when they hold their baby for the first time."

"The day they were born."

"All of this answers are wrong, the most important day in a man's life is the day he names his bar."

"I shall call you Lifeless."
