Chapter 064: No Way Out at the End of the Mountain (2)

"What the hell is this place?" I screamed in shock.

"This is my divine sense, your body is still trapped in the chakra meridian network." The moon spirit's voice curled up and I realised that the moon was the moon spirit. It rocked gently, like a moon boat in the vastness of the sky.

I wanted to jump off the moon soul, but I didn't realise that just as one foot hit the ground, it slowly melted, and along where it landed, a soft halo of light swirled like ripples. I hurriedly climbed onto the Moon Spirit, and my lost left foot appeared a little bit again. I was shocked and praised, ''Your divine sense is so damn weird. Cut the crap and help me defeat Hai Ji, or else I'll lose face."

"Come with me." The Moon Soul suddenly carried me as I drifted towards the depths, like a ship sailing towards a vast unknowable abyss. Milky white light shimmered and splashed dreamily around in clusters. I tried to stretch my hand out into the distance, and it felt empty, my palm disappearing at eye level, as if I had been left behind in another world.

Far away, the moonlight pours into a curved archway, and underneath it, a dancing shadow. We were drifting towards it.

I looked at the arch in amazement; it was not still, but flowing, shimmering with an enigmatic light. No matter how close Moon Soul led me, the arch was always far away from us.

"Moon Soul, get over there!" I wanted to see what the shadow looked like under the archway; it was hazy and mysterious, sometimes disappearing, sometimes appearing under the door, dancing in strange gestures.

"If you can hear my music, we can lean through." Moon Soul said faintly, "Listen with your heart, there are many voices here, but only one belongs to me."

As soon as the words left my mouth, I heard countless strange sounds, some like rumbling thunder, some like soft breezes, some like crying, some like joyful laughter, and some like pots and pans crashing. Damn, thousands of tens of thousands of noisy voices, noisy my head two big, how can I tell the difference? I was so anxious that I yelled, "What the hell are you doing?"

"Ugh, you still can't hear it." Moon Soul said in disappointment.

I was confused, "You bird is too unpleasant, always playing dumb riddles with me!"

"Let's talk about it later." Moon Soul sighed and shattered into pieces of floating light and phantoms, everything around me disillusioned like water bubbles, the archway disappeared, the shadows disappeared as well, and I was in the chakra network again.

"What a big rogue fish." Hearing Hai Ji's soft laughter in my ears, the golden netting tightened violently, binding me so tightly that I couldn't even move. People in a hurry, "Puff", my ribs violently probed the dragon butterfly red claws, drilled out of the mesh, grabbed at Hai Ji, the tip of the claw spewed out a blazing fireball.

Hai Ji blinked, "Still trying to trap the beast?" Her feet shifted horizontally, easily avoiding the red claws.

I didn't move, probing out the blue dragon butterfly claw, entrapped with the cold air of ice and snow, and grabbed at Hai Ji's breasts. She was taken aback and hastily retreated. I have long been waiting for the third dragon butterfly claw "hoo" pounced out, this is a turquoise claw, it is not like the first two dragon butterfly claws as hard, but as soft as a snake, as if the dancing vines entangled in the sea Ji, claw tip force a buckle. Hai Ji stifled a grunt and reached out to cover her left shoulder, a few drops of blood splattered out.

I was so scared that I hastily withdrew my claws and said uneasily, ''Are you alright? I'm so damned, I actually hurt you." Anxiously inspecting Hai Ji's fragrant shoulder, fortunately the wound was shallow.

Hai Ji nodded my forehead, ranting: "Good heartless little scoundrel! Calculated, I know you do not mean it." Putting away the chakra network, her face was full of relief, "You are now highly skilled in magic, my heart is more joyful than anything else."

I let out a bitter smile, "Just now, as long as you tightened your pulse meridian net, I was already cut to pieces. Alas, I'm still a bit worse than you."

Hai Ji consoled, "If it wasn't for relying on the pulse meridian network, I would definitely not be your opponent. What you lack now is only demonic power and experience, as long as you cultivate diligently, you will definitely beat me in the future."

I nodded and began to cultivate seriously. Hai Ji also often accompanied me to feed on my moves, intentionally or unintentionally leaking out a few phrases of the pulse meridian armour imperial technique. Unconsciously, we had already stayed in Orange Island for seven or eight days. As men and women were paired together, they were not tired of cultivating.

On this night, I tossed and turned and couldn't sleep, so I just went out for a stroll alone. Crossing the lake, through the mountain crevice, and back to the valley outside. It was quiet all around, with autumn insects chirping in the grass. The night sky was a deep blue, and the moon was like a jade hairpin embedded in blue ice. Looking up at the bright moon, I sighed.

Moon Soul said, "You have something on your mind."

I sighed bitterly, "To be honest, I'm afraid that I won't be able to deal with Yun Dalang when the time comes. I remember my master said that it would take years to train the secret scrolls to the realm of transformation, and I only have a month, so it's impossible to become a fat man in one bite. Right now, I'm half-assed in every spell, so what am I going to do to crack Yun Dalang's black baggage?"

Moon Soul said coldly, "It's a pity you can't hear my music."

"So what if you hear it?"

"If you can hear it, your Phantom Dance will step into a whole new stage. How can such things as the Black Baggage and the Chakra Net trap a true Phantom Dance?" Moon Soul said quietly, "In your mind, Phantom Dance is just a martial art to kill the enemy, but you are wrong. Only when you truly understand that the Phantom Dance is the dance of intense life, and only when your heart is filled with a desire for beauty, will you hear my music."

"What exactly is that dark shadow under the archway?"

"When you hear the music, you will naturally know."

I glared at Moon Soul without any goodwill, and made up my mind that once the duel was bad old me would ride the blowing wind and run away. I'm not going to do the stupid thing of beating my face up.

Thought for a while, is ready to go back, I suddenly heard the opposite side of the bushes behind the rustling sound, like there is something crawling. Through the cracks in the branches and leaves, I vaguely saw dark shadows swaying on the muddy ground.

"Who?" I asked drily, lunging forward. The night wind was blowing the flowers and grass, and there was nothing in the bushes. I froze, was I blind? But with my current eyesight how could I be mistaken?

Fixed my mind, I searched around carefully, the grass had traces of being crushed, and there were also a lot of broken tree branches left. Under the moonlight, a weed was slightly bright, a few drops of dark-coloured liquid stained on the tip of the grass, the liquid was dark red, I went up and smelled it, it was fishy-smelling blood!

I was taken aback, was there someone else in this valley? Or maybe some injured beast? The blood hadn't dried yet, indicating that the other party had just left. I immediately searched up and down the valley, busy most of the night, still nothing. When I was in doubt, out of the corner of my eye, I suddenly saw a long shadow reflecting on the ground, swaying slightly. The shadow took a step forward and reached out to put his hand on my shoulder.

My heart tightened, pretending not to notice anything, I turned sharply and swung my fist. "Bang," the fists and palms exchanged blows, and my hand felt as if it had struck the blade of a knife, vaguely painful.

"Hai Ji! How is it you?" I looked at the person in front of me and lowered my fist, letting out a long sigh of relief.

"Little scoundrel, what are you doing?" Hai Ji was full of surprise, "I noticed that you were missing, I was afraid that something was wrong with you, so I came to the valley to take a look."

I told Hai Ji about seeing the black shadow, she said unconcernedly, "I've never seen an outsider here, it must be an injured beast."

I shook my head, "Not quite a beast, if outsiders did sneak into the valley, it could be Yun Dalang or He Ping's men coming to watch and track us, it's better to be careful." Bringing her to that bush, when pointing her to the blood stains, she found nothing.

"Where's the blood?" Hedge looked at me strangely.

I was instantly dumbfounded; the blood stains on the blades of grass had disappeared cleanly, and the broken branch on the ground was gone. Hai Ji softly said, "Are you too tired from practising kung fu? Cultivating too quickly makes it easy to have hallucinations of going overboard. Why don't you rest for a few days and go to the Great Thousand Cities to have some fun."

I shook my head repeatedly and pondered for a long time, then suddenly and deliberately exclaimed, "I must have been dizzy and misread it, let's go."

In the middle of the night the next day, at the light of the second watch, I quietly drilled out of the mountain crevice alone and entered the valley again. The night sky was cloudy, no stars or moon, and the surrounding area was so dark that I couldn't see my fingers. I tiptoe slowly, pulling apart the half-half-half tall tarragon grass in front of me, and performing the five sense demonic art, paying attention to the movement of every corner of the valley. The strange disappearance of the blood stains more let me feel that there are ghosts, not to find out that black shadow, I always rest a big stone in my heart, feel uneasy.

After about an hour, there was a rustling sound beside my ears. I shook my spirit, performed the ferry technique, my toes slipped noiselessly along the tips of the grass blades, and pounced on the sound. The sound was coming from the north side of the valley, where there was a peach blossom forest with a gurgling stream. I stopped in front of a thick peach tree and lightly leapt up to the canopy, peering into the forest. Under the Mirror Pupil Mystic Dao Technique, the darkness of the night was like day, and everything was clearly reflected in my line of sight.

In the forest, there was indeed a black shadow lying! He was a big man with a vegetable-coloured face, with long arms and legs, and a big skeleton, but so thin that only a thin layer of skin remained. The big man's stomach had been cut open, revealing a pile of flowery guts inside. I almost screamed, because I clearly saw the big man was slightly gasping for breath, he was actually still alive!

What the hell, I rubbed my eyes hard and looked again. Crawling on the ground was a small grass man, about a foot tall, with a nose and eyes, and moving with some dexterity. Moving in an orderly fashion, the grass people pulled out the big man's intestines, stretched them out, and placed them in the stream to be cleaned. The intestines have almost festered, a section of intermittent connection, dripping with yellowish-white pus and blood, the fishy smell is disgusting. The straw man washed the intestines, dried them and plated them, then put them back inside the big man's abdomen. The big man groaned, the body slowly squirming, eyeballs turn, seems to be glancing towards the peach tree where I hid.

Day his grandmother, the belly and intestines can be taken out and washed, this is too evil. I boldly looked down, this big man appeared to be half dead, if I was found by him, I believe I can also set him straight.

The strong smell of blood hit my nose, the grass people proceeded to take out the big man's liver, spleen, and lungs, one by one putting them into the stream to wash them, and then carefully putting them back in place. These internal organs were either oozing pus and rotting, or had poisonous sores that stank to high heaven. In the course of a meal, the transparent stream water was almost dyed black and purple, and the grass was stained with blood.

Just as the grass people lifted out the big man's heart, to be put into the creek, mid-air suddenly "Jie" sound, a large night lord with a gust of wind swooping, wings overturned the grass people, claws violently grabbed the heart, scurrying into the air.
