Chapter 35 - Caged Town of Snow Crest
Since the ever winds didn't stop, the town of snow crest is now like a cage. Moreover so the town is now in siege for three days due to the conjured Snow Giants outside the town. But despite being in siege the town of Snow Crest was not alarmed and is very confident that the garrison and the Black Snow Tribe will not let any of those monsters to invade the town.
Since, it was not a problem for most of the town folks, I Stian have also put some faith in the forces of this town. Hence it is something that I should meddle in. This problem may affect me but this situation is not something I could trouble myself with.
Also, under the circumstances that the town would be invaded then I would probably take the trading route and escape. Thus I pray that the forces of this town would be able to successfully defend this town till the ever winds calm down.
On the other hand, I Stian is currently on my room writing on my journal and pasting the printed pictures towards the journal. After the day it was declared, the only times I would go out would be either just to wander around the town or eating at the restaurant with a terrace.
Sometimes, I would meet Old Ron who is still handing some totally not suspicious reports to a totally not suspicious person.
And of course I would also encounter the huntress Cyra Frey who has a habit of suddenly appearing out of thin air who somehow tracks me down wherever I go. Though I do admit that she is playful person, she is a good person.....maybe?
But, anyway since the town was isolated because of the ever winds that Cyra Frey has been a constant companion that has been keeping me company for some reason. Obligatory I would always try to trap her into revealing her methods but somehow she casually brushes off anything that might reveal her methods and even playing with words doesn't shake anything from her.
I understand that she is trying to protect her methods in order to not be exploited but curiosity doesn't allow me to stop asking. It may sound hypocritical for a guy who is trying his hardest to conceal his ability to be asking but since I am not being too forceful then it should be fine right?
Up to now I have been trying to conceal my abilities due to the fear of having my equipment's discovered by a group that has a deep obsession on inventing and developing things. During my wandering around this town, I took the time to gather information about the Dvergr's and found out that even with their obsession and brashness the Dvergr's are rude friendly towards those who interest them.
Some say that if you go into a store manage by a Dvergr, you would be stared to death by them and sometimes would chase you out if your attitude towards the creation would be unappreciative and rude. But despite that they still accept criticisms in order to improve or develop their creations.

During the second day of the siege, which was just yesterday. I visited a shop run by a Dvergr named Govor. Govor was practically a silent Dvergr and despite my expectations of dwarves being short, Govor is tall and possesses muscles so firm looking that it almost resembles a rock.
Anyway, during the time I was looking at his wares I was struck in excitement as I look on how cool and steampunk looking his wares were, that I grew enjoyment just by looking at them. One of the most coolest thing that I found on his wares were the retractable blade gauntlet that according to him can be used for having better grips during climbing and is also well protected and is commonly an item desirable by most of the explorer's and map makers mostly because of that strong blade that can pierce through cliffs which can also make the user be at easy since the blade of the gauntlet was made from an sturdy metal and can be use to stab through the cliff in order for the owner to use it as an emergency axe harness.
So because I Stian, was so entranced by it that I bought it despite it's swooping price, which cause all the money I got for the Nivis troll fur and skin to be spend entirely. Govor who was having a blank face saw the expression I have suddenly burst out laughing and said that I was like who was having a new toy and that the face I was making satisfied him.
After buying the gauntlet, I immediately paired the gauntlet with the iron bracer in my left hand and decided to leave, though despite the satisfied face the shop owner named Govor had. It seems that he would be happy to let him browse his wares again but still won't give discount....
Anyway, leaving that event already behind and closing my journal, I took out the Eaglehead Scimitar I bought before the the ever winds started blowing and took it out of it's sheath. Using the blessing of the wanderer's hand, I then covered the whole blade except it's sheath with threads of black energy and took out another sword which I bought for this occasion..
*Clang* *Clang* as I swing the sword towards the Scimitar and then found out that not only that the Scimitar didn't even got dent, it also manage to cut through the sword and dented it. As I sheath back my Eaglehead Scimitar, Hence I then pulled out my pocket knife and embedded it with the same black threads and did the same actions towards the dented sword.
With the passive strength, I was able to successfully gouge the pocket knife towards the sword and effectively denting the sword even more. Putting away the pocket knife I then move towards the window and took the dented sword with me as I formed threads in order to cover the dent of the sword. Seeing that it seems to have worked I then put the sword in my lap as I watched the snow fall even harder than yesterday..
