Revelations-1

Olivia entered the bridge and saw Kalvin handing over control of the ship to Clarence. She wasted no time in walking straight towards Kalvin, her eyes burning with anger.

Kalvin, who had just turned around and was yawning, met Olivia's intense gaze.

"What?" Kalvin asked, covering his mouth as he yawned.

"Where is the key to the storeroom?" Olivia demanded, her voice firm.

Kalvin looked at her with a lazy, dismissive expression. "Don't you remember where you put it last night?" he said, attempting to walk towards the door.

"If it was here, I wouldn't be asking you," Olivia said, blocking his path.

"I'm the captain, the keys stay with me. You can't question that," Kalvin said, his tone unyielding.

"Don't you recall what Bell said? You're supposed to give me the keys. Right Now!" Olivia insisted.

"I'm not taking orders from you, " Kalvin said, turning away from her.

"Fine, then I'll call Bell, and you can explain yourself to him," Olivia said, turning towards the communication system. Kalvin's face shifted, a nervous expression replacing his stubbornness.

"Fine! Stop!" Kalvin said, as Olivia had expected. A sarcastic grin spread across Olivia's face as she turned to face Kalvin. The keys landed at her feet, Kalvin having thrown them there.

Olivia looked at Kalvin with a burning gaze and then leaned down to pick up the keys. "That must be the way Bell has taught you," she growled, then turned around to leave.

"You better stay away from my business, commander," Kalvin said, emphasizing the last word in an ironic tone, effectively giving Olivia a nickname.

Olivia's jaw tightened but she didn't turn around to answer, instead, she walked straight to the door and left slamming the door.

Carl and Olivia stood together, leaning against the silver fence and watching the sunset.

"We're going to reach the Devil's Triangle tonight," Carl whispered, gently kissing Olivia's neck.

Olivia turned in his embrace, looking into his eyes. "Tonight could be our last night," she murmured, kissing him back tenderly.

The setting sun cast a warm, golden glow over their faces as they held each other close. Olivia rested her head on Carl's shoulder, taking a deep, steadying breath. "Whatever happens, I'm glad I get to face it by your side," she said softly.

Carl tightened his hold on her, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. "We'll get through this, Olivia. Together," he whispered, his voice filled with a quiet determination.

Olivia looked up at Carl, her eyes shining with love. "Death or life, we'll be together forever," she said, blinded by her affection.

"I need to go to the control room to deliver the oceanic details we gathered now," Carl said apologetically.

"Okay, meet me in the dining room," Olivia replied, kissing his lips softly.

Kalvin and Melvin, who had been walking along the corridor, witnessed the tender exchange.

"Stupid love birds," Kalvin whispered, a hint of derision in his tone.

"It's not their fault that you don't love a girl genuinely," Melvin said, disagreeing with Kalvin's sentiment.

"Common, love is blind. It always ends with pain if you give in to yourself," Kalvin complained, watching as Carl walked away from Olivia.

"Sometimes that's true, but you only see the start and the end. It's always a pain, but in between is the beauty, the memories," Melvin said thoughtfully.

"Ah, you sound poetic. Looks like I have a future brother-in-law to meet," Kalvin said in a playful tone, causing Melvin to blush.

"No, I didn't mean it like that," Melvin said, as they drew closer to Olivia. Suddenly, they saw her grab her head, leaning unsteadily against the fence.

"Something's wrong!" Melvin exclaimed, hurrying towards Olivia as she noticed her lose her balance.

Kalvin's attention was also drawn to the scene, and he joined Melvin in rushing to Olivia's aid.

"What happened to her?" Kalvin asked, concerned.

"She's lost her balance, she might..." Melvin didn't get to finish. Her fear came true. Olivia suddenly fell over the railing, plunging into the sea below.

"No!" Melvin cried out, rushing towards the fence. Hearing Melvin's scream, Carl, who had been walking along the corridor, turned around in surprise to see Olivia falling. For a moment, he was frozen in fear, but then he ran towards the fence, screaming "Liv!"

But Kalvin was faster. He had already reached the edge, desperately leaning over to save Olivia. However, his attempts were not successful.

Without hesitation, Kalvin climbed up the fence and jumped in after Olivia, plunging into the turbulent waters below.

"Kalvin, no!" Melvin screamed, leaning forward and reaching towards the sea, trying to stop him.

Carl, his face pale with fear, quickly grabbed Melvin to prevent her from potentially falling over the edge as well.

The two friends stood, frozen in shock, watching Kalvin disappear beneath the crashing waves, joining Olivia in a terrifying accident. Melvin's heart raced, her eyes wide with panic. She had never expected Kalvin to make such a reckless decision, but on the other hand, he's kalvin. Carl, his own heart pounding, held Melvin tightly, his gaze fixed on the spot where Kalvin had vanished. The fate of their two friends now hid under the waves of the deep blue sea.

Carl swallowed hard, the guilt weighing heavily on him. "I should've not left her alone," he said, his voice tinged with regret as tears threatened to spill from his eyes.

"No, no, this can't be," Melvin whispered, her voice breaking as she began to sob.

Grasping for any glimmer of hope, Carl said, "Olivia's a good swimmer, and a good diver too." His words came out in a weak, trembling voice.

Melvin nodded, her own eyes filled with worry. "So is Kalvin," she whispered.

Steeling his resolve, Carl said, "Hurry up and bring the rope from the bridge. We need to get it here."

Without wasting a moment, Melvin rushed towards the bridge, determined to do whatever it took to save their friends.

Carl turned back to the edge of the deck, his gaze fixed on the churning waters below. His heart raced as he waited, praying that Kalvin and Olivia would somehow surface, alive and unharmed. Then he walked to the place where the silver ladder leading to the sea was located. Time seems to slow down.

Carl stared at the churning waters, his mind racing. "This can't be real," he whispered, desperately hoping it was all just a nightmare.

After the tragic loss of his parents, Carl had turned to prayer for the first time. Now, he found himself pleading once more, begging for the safe return of Kalvin and his loving Olivia. After losing his parents, Carl couldn't bear the thought of losing the people he cared about most.

The minutes felt endless as he waited for Melvin to return with help. Finally, she appeared with Curie, Marcus, and Tara, all of them carrying a sturdy rope. Carl's heart raced with a glimmer of hope, but the fear still gripped him.

He tied one corner of the rope securely to the fence, ensuring it wouldn't come undone. Then, without hesitation, Carl began tying the other end of the rope around his own waist.

Melvin, Curie, Marcus, and Tara watched, their faces etched with concern, as Carl prepared to brave the treacherous waters.

"Carl, what are you doing?" Melvin asked, her voice trembling.

"I'm going in after them," Carl replied, his expression resolute. "I can't just stand by and wait. The others exchanged apprehensive glances.

"Alright, we'll help you," Curie said, stepping forward to assist Carl. "But please, be careful. We can't afford to lose you too."

Carl nodded, his eyes filled with determination. "I'll bring them back," he promised, his voice steady despite the fear that gripped him.

But just as Carl was about to climb over the railing, a sudden shout from Marcus caused everyone to freeze.

"There they are!" Marcus cried, his gaze fixed on the turbulent waters below.

Immediately, the group rushed to the edge of the deck, leaning over the fence to get a better look.

Sure enough, the figures of Olivia and Kalvin could be seen struggling to swim back to the edge of the railing. They were battered by the powerful waves, but somehow, they were still visible.

"Hold on, we're coming!" Melvin called out, her voice laced with both relief and desperation

"Quick, throw the rope!" Relief flooded Carl's face as he saw Olivia and Kalvin struggling in the water below. Without hesitation, he began frantically undoing the rope tied around his waist, his heart pounding with renewed hope.

"Hold on, we're coming!" he shouted, his voice laced with urgency.

Quickly, Carl tied one end of the rope securely around a rubber buoy and hurled it over the railing, aiming it towards Kalvin and Olivia. Yes! He was successful this time.

Kalvin, mustering all his strength, swam towards the floating buoy, his arms wrapped protectively around Olivia. Gritting his teeth, he managed to grasp the rope, clinging to it with every ounce of his being.

The group on the deck watched with bated breath, their eyes fixed on the scene unfolding below. As Kalvin reached the buoy, they began pulling the rope, slowly but steadily, hauling their friends back towards the safety of the ship.

Carl leaned over the railing, his hands gripping the rope tightly, his face etched with determination. Melvin, Curie, Marcus, and Tara joined him, each one pulling with all their might, their collective efforts focused on bringing Olivia and Kalvin back to solid ground.

Inch by inch, the rope pulled the pair closer, the waves crashing against them as they fought to hold on.
