Chapter 91 - Showdown (3)

BloodLust paused, intrigued by this unexpected show of willpower. "Oh?" he said, raising an eyebrow. "Got something to say before you die?"

With superhuman effort, Marshmallow began to rise. His legs shook from exertion and every movement was agony. But there was a spark of genius in him that caught even someone like BloodLust off guard. Marshmallow pulled out Eldrin's potion from the Key of Light and chugged it in one go. There were five of those potions, one for each member of Marshmallow's group that had entered BloodLust's castle. Marshmallow had used his, but he had no other choice. He felt his soul being ripped from his body, and knew that without drastic action, all would be lost.

The effect was instant and overwhelming. Marshmallow felt a wave of power surge through his body and a strange form of pure energy seemed to awaken every single cell. It was like being dunked in an ocean of vitality, each drop restoring strength and vigor. He felt reborn, as if waking from a deep sleep and coming back to life stronger and more determined than ever.

What Marshmallow did next was a chain of linked moves. He used the ability of his Helmet of Valhalla's Fury to boost his Dexterity. He exploded the muscles in his legs in a prodigious sprint. Then, mid-run, he activated his Spatiokinesis to cover the distance between him and BloodLust, about thirty meters, even faster. The dash was so powerful that not even BloodLust realized what had happened.

In a fraction of a nanosecond, Marshmallow was a step away from BloodLust, but now a problem arose: how could he steal his sword? He had too little time and it had to be a surprise attack. If he hit BloodLust with his weapons, BloodLust would have time to counter. Then inspiration struck. Marshmallow's hands were full, but his teeth weren't. He had to make BloodLust loosen his grip, and for that he had a perfect Very Unique Skill, Gravitokinesis. He instantly applied a force field around BloodLust's hand to loosen his grip and Marshmallow, still running, grabbed BloodLust's sword with his teeth like a dog snatching a bone.

"Weady for wound two, BwoodWust?" Marshmallow asked, clenching the sword between his teeth.

BloodLust was stunned. He hadn't expected to be played in such a ridiculous way. He felt a bit ashamed of himself.

Marshmallow's voice was muffled, the words coming out garbled and guttural, but the meaning was clear and provocative. BloodLust looked very annoyed. He held out his hand and made the Eternity Blade vanish, leaving Marshmallow instantly with nothing in his mouth. Confused.

"Enough with weapons. Show me your Unique Skills. I'll show you mine."

Marshmallow didn't hesitate for a second. He withdrew his weapons into the Key of Light. "Overdrive! Doom Patrol!" Marshmallow exclaimed. At that moment, not one, but seven huge beasts with purple claws rose up. Marshmallow had never summoned so many at once before, this was the level he had reached. Each could use his Unique Skills, but it seemed each specialized in one, exactly matching the number of Marshmallow's Unique Skills. One seemed to specialize in Lumokinesis, one in Lifekinesis, one in Gravitokinesis, and so on.

Now it was eight against one.

BloodLust stood still for a moment, observing the array of enemies before him. Then a sly smile spread across his face. "Interesting. But do you really think this can stop me?"

With a fluid motion, BloodLust raised his arms and activated his first Unique Skill. Three tentacle-like tails, which could stretch and grow at will, emerged from his back. That was Ok Damage's Unique Skill. This sent Marshmallow into a rage.

"You bastard, BloodLust!" Marshmallow yelled, charging towards him with his clones in tow, and BloodLust smiled maliciously.

Then the battle raged. BloodLust used many of his Unique Skills, like the ability to create seven copies of himself to even the odds, or the ability to hide in shadows and disappear for a few seconds. Every time Marshmallow and the Doom Patrol got close, BloodLust and his copies vanished into thin air.

At one point BloodLust took the initiative. With a simple gesture, he summoned electricity that enveloped his tentacles, turning them into electric whips. Then he activated an extreme physical enhancement on himself and his copies, their muscles swelling like balloons. The battle raged with constant blows between the various Doom Patrol and the copies, but Marshmallow and BloodLust's real body were still sizing each other up.

BloodLust attacked Marshmallow with the electric whips. A tentacle struck one of the Doom Patrol, making it explode in a shower of sparks. "Don't think you can beat me with cheap tricks!" BloodLust shouted, as he teleported behind another clone, snapping its neck with a lightning-fast move.

Marshmallow responded with a coordinated attack. The Doom Patrol moved in sync, trying to overwhelm BloodLust with sheer numbers by all jumping on the real BloodLust. One of them launched a wave of gravitational energy, trying to crush BloodLust under enormous pressure. BloodLust, however, wasn't caught off guard. With a wave of his hand, he deflected the gravitational energy, transforming it into a shockwave that hit the Doom Patrol, making them stagger.

With a cry of rage, Marshmallow lunged at BloodLust. He hit him with a direct punch to the face, charged with Lumokinesis and covered in Geokinesis rock. BloodLust blocked the blow with one of his tentacles. The force of the impact made the ground shake, creating a crack that extended for several meters.

"This won't end how you think," Marshmallow growled. "This is the end for you."

With superhuman effort, Marshmallow managed to break free from the tentacle's grip and leapt back, breathing heavily. The Doom Patrol gathered around him, ready to throw themselves back into the fray. But BloodLust had no intention of letting them rest. With another gesture, he summoned a whirlwind of frost that enveloped the entire arena, turning it into a freezing hell.

Marshmallow used his Spatiokinesis to teleport himself and his helpers out of the frost, but one of his Doom Patrol wasn't so lucky and was consumed by the frost. BloodLust took advantage of the moment of confusion to attack with renewed ferocity. He teleported behind another Doom Patrol, impaling it with a tentacle. The Doom Patrol exploded in a flash of light, leaving only ash behind.

This wasn't going well. Marshmallow had already lost four of his Doom Patrol, and BloodLust was still unharmed. He had to do something, and fast. He had no choice but to use his most powerful move. He looked at his three remaining Doom Patrol, four had been killed. "Distract him!" The three charged forward and Marshmallow saw his opportunity. He concentrated all his remaining energy into a single point, feeling the power of Overdrive Oblivion grow within him. It was a blow that could wipe out an entire mountain, and he knew it. This was his last chance.

"Overdrive! Oblivion!"

With a battle cry, Marshmallow unleashed the energy of Overdrive Oblivion. A wave of pure power was unleashed, overwhelming everything in its path.

BloodLust turned just in time to see the attack coming. With superhuman speed, he raised his arms in a defensive position. The seven copies were wiped out in an instant, annihilated by the fury of the attack. And when the dust settled, Marshmallow stood there, panting, his body exhausted from the enormous expenditure of energy. In front of him, BloodLust was still standing with his clothes torn and burned and his body covered in scratches and bruises. But his gaze was still full of life, and a victorious smile curved his lips.

"We're at a stalemate," BloodLust announced, his voice filled with an unsettling calm. "You've given it your all, Marshmallow. But now... now I'm going to get serious."
