Qiang Feng and Moria departed from the town and arrived at a lake that marked the boundary of the Qiang family's territory. Qiang Feng examined the map and noticed that crossing the nearby bridge would take him outside of his family's jurisdiction. He declared, "Once we cross that bridge, we'll officially be out of the Qiang family's territory. Let's follow this path into the forest."
"I've got a long way to go," thought Qiang Feng as he examined the map. "The Seven Stars City is my destination, but it's going to take me months to even get to the other side of this forest. And that's just the beginning. The map shows I'll need to cross two small continents before I finally reach my goal."
As a member of a level three faction, Qiang Feng was well aware of the vastness of a domain. Even without considering their territory in the mortal world, his family's territory alone already took up a whole small continent.
But despite the enormity of the task ahead, Qiang Feng remained resolute. His ultimate goal was to explore the world and become stronger in the process. With this in mind, he crossed the bridge and ventured into the dense forest ahead.
As he entered the dense forest, Qiang Feng scanned his surroundings, trying to get a sense of the environment. The thought of spending the next few months in this unfamiliar terrain made him anxious. "What if I get lost?" he muttered to himself, feeling a hint of worry creeping up. In response, Moria spoke up reassuringly, "Don't worry, Qiang Feng. I'll guide you every step of the way. You can count on me."
After a day of traveling through the forest, Qiang Feng finally encountered his first beast. It was a creature that was three levels lower than him.
"Even though my strength has grown significantly, this fight is still a struggle for me. It's my first serious battle against a beast, and I need to be careful not to underestimate it," Qiang Feng muttered to himself as he faced off against the minor level beast.
Although he possessed new strength that was overwhelming compared to his previous self, he still found himself struggling to kill the beast. This was his first real fight, and he was unaccustomed to the sensation of fighting for his life. He fumbled with his sword and missed his attacks, while the beast lunged and clawed at him relentlessly. It was only after a grueling battle that Qiang Feng finally emerged victorious, his clothes ripped and covered in dirt and blood. The experience left him shaken but also more determined to hone his skills and become stronger.
Suddenly he saw a light glowing from the creature's cheats.Qiang Feng's eyes widened in surprise as he realized what he had stumbled upon. A beast core was a rare and valuable find, and he knew that it could greatly aid him in his cultivation journey. With trembling hands, he carefully extracted the glowing core from the beast's chest and examined it closely.

As he held the core in his hands, he could feel the potent Qi energy and the faint trace of the element that the creature had possessed. Excitement coursed through him as he considered the possibilities." I could use the core to strengthen my current element, or perhaps even gain the ability to control a new one. "
As Qiang Feng examined the core, he began to sense a faint presence of fire element within it. Though it was not much, it would still be enough to boost his comprehension of the element to a respectable level. It had the potential to transform the meager flame he could produce into an actual burning fire.
However, Qiang Feng knew that he needed to leave the area quickly. The scent of blood would attract more powerful beasts, and he didn't want to be caught off guard. He grabbed the beast core, along with a few pieces of meat, and began to make his way towards his destination. He was eager to start comprehending the fire element from the core, and he knew that he needed to find a safe place to do so.
Moria had observed the fight from the sidelines without intervening. As they continued their journey, he spoke up, "You may be only 15 years old, but your battle experience seems to be lacking. With your current strength, you should have been able to defeat that beast with ease. Once you're done with the core, I suggest you engage in as many battles as possible to gain more experience."
Qiang Feng nodded in agreement with Moria's advice, though he couldn't deny the fear of potential injuries in battle. Taking out a pen and notebook, he began jotting down notes, intending to use them to improve himself in future fights. Moria, curious about what he was writing, asked Qiang Feng, who simply replied, "Just some notes to help me improve in battle."
Qiang Feng was exhausted after a few hours of walking, and he stumbled upon a huge tree with thick branches. He decided to climb up and rest there for a while. As he caught his breath, he couldn't help but wish that technology could be adapted into the cultivation world. "It would be so useful for traveling," he muttered to himself. But he knew that it was impossible since technology was limited in this world. His grandfather, who spent most of his life exploring continent including the mortal world, had brought several pieces of technology as gifts such as cameras and cars, but they could only be used for entertainment. Qiang Feng knew that using a car for traveling in the cultivation world would be impossible without breaking it.
Qiang Feng spent four hours meditating with the beast core, trying to comprehend the fire element. He focused all his energy and concentration, determined to succeed. As he opened his eyes after the fourth hour, a smile appeared on his face. He raised his hand and suddenly, a flame covered it. "Done," he said.
Moria smiled and congratulated him. "You've comprehended the first level of the fire element. You still have six more levels to go," Moria said. Qiang Feng was excited, he is getting more powerful.
Qiang Feng was feeling too lazy to climb down from the tree and start a fire to cook his meat. Instead, he created a small flame on his palm and cooked the meat over it. The juices dripped onto his hand, which felt strange, but, hey, he was exploring new methods . He offered some to Moria, but Moria declined, stating that he didn't need to eat and Qiang Feng didn't have much to share.
After finishing his meal, Qiang Feng tied himself to the branch and drifted off to sleep while gazing at the stars above. After a few moments of silence, he whispered to himself:
"Once I'm done exploring here, I'll come for you."
