In the middle of the night, Daniel wake up to sudden urge to relieved himself.

With a groan of great reluctance, he stand up, take ahold of his new sword, and walks away from his camp to go do his business.

When he finished with the process of relieving himself, if before he's still sleepy, the sight that greet him when he gets back to his camp sure is waking him up very quickly.

Because, there, near the wolf's body, is a scavenger. It's body looks like a big rat, a very big rat, that is if this hypothetical rat have a completly grey furs, tusk coming out of it's mouth, black sharp claws, and fleshy pink tail. Oh, and flaming red eyes that shining menacingly in the dark.

It's in the process of gouging out the wolf's body messily with it's sharp claws and teeths when it's suddenly noticed Daniel's presence.

The fight is short, the rat attacked, Daniel defended himself with his sword, got a few new scratch to show for it, and a new corpse.

He didn't get a message or a chest this time.

He needed aproximately two hour to get back to sleep after that and wakes up when the sun had long since began it's morning routine. The sunlight wakes him up.

Today, he decided to walks further ahead towards the mountain, he decided to do it because he wanted to tried to climb it and used the new vantage point to looks for a sign of civilization.

As for the river, he planned to followed it down to search for a narrower section or a bend where the waters is shallower so he can crossed it safely without the need to swim. Because he don't know how to swim, and who knows what kind of freakish fish this place can generated.

Before that, though, he tried again to makes a fire going with his tools from yesterday. This time, he did succed to makes a small ember after he spent a long time to spin the wood's stick, and then he gathered a few dead grass near it and blew with his mouth carefully to makes the fire bigger.

After he added a sufficient number of dry woods to keep it going, he goes to the wolf's body and carved up a section of it's meat where the scavenger hadn't touched and hasn't gone bad yet. He then separates the meat and the furs, both with his sword.

He skewer the meat with a branch and then hold it up the fire to cooked it. It's didn't taste particularly good, but food is food and he haven't ate since yesterday.

After he finished eating, he put out the fire and then started walking, sword in hand.

Daniel isn't in a hurry, so he took his time and walking leisurely. The plain studded with many hills, it's covered by green grass and many kind of flowers as far as the river.

When he finally reached the river, Daniel noticed that the river is big and the water flow rather quickly. It's have a clear waters, which he used to wash his face. The waters felts cool on his face. But, he didn't tried to drink it, though, in case it is unhygienic

When he walking down the river, just minding his own business, a sprout of water suddenly hit him in the face. It's didn't particularly strong, but it did succed to makes him stumble.

The source is a mass of waters that somehow gathered and taking a shape of the same design as the Green Slime that he beat yesterday. It's, too, have a magic core in the middle of it's body.

He didn't noticed it before because it's almost the same color as the river which it's float upon of.

Currently, it's in process of dragging it's own body to the edge of the river. When it's finally reached it, Daniel is already there, sword in hand.

His though process went like this, if he have beaten one already, how hard can it be to beat another one?

He used the same strategy that he used againts the Green Slime. He swung the flat of his sword at the creature, that he just dubbed the Water Slime.

He can feels the resistance on his sword when he swing it, though.

Must be the property of it's body, Daniel though. It is made of of waters, after all.

The Water Slime retaliate with a few of it's sprout of waters, this close it hits harder and definitely gonna leaved bruises.

When it's used it's sprout of waters, though, Daniel noticed that it's body is getting smaller, diminished.

Daniel just keeps going 'till he hit the magical core and the Water Slime burst into normal waters

He is right, it's didn't hard at all. He just got a few bruises to add to his collection of injury. And wets. Because of the waters.

He didn't get a level up message this time, either. But, he did got a new chest. Which he dubbed the Loot's Chest. Inside he saw a grey bottle of waters. With a hook on it's spine. It's fully loaded with clear waters. To test it, he opened the bottle, and spill a bit of it's content to the ground.

Nothing happened. It's probably safe to drink, but he decided to saved it for when he feels truly desperate, just in case.

After he tied the hook to his belt's loop, he walked on.
