The flash of light surprised Daniel and make him close his eyes for a second. That flash of light accompanied by a sound like a bell goes off in his head.

When he opened it, there is a simple message in his vision.

[Congratulations! You have got a new Class!]

[Warrior! Level 1!]

[Accept: Yes/No?]

The message appeared in his focus, and it stayed that way wherever he is looking. But strangely, it didn't obscure his vision, at all.

It was like looking at his surrounding and the message, both at the same time.

He tried to closed his eyes, but he still can see it. As clear as if he is reading in broad daylight.

"What?" He said. He lost count of how many times he said that since he got here. But, the hallucination- if it is even that, he started to have doubt about that theory-, is getting weirder.

"What is this?" He said. "Some kind of game?"

He had tried a few game himself with his friend, and it usually have something like class and level.

The bell and the message repeated itself.

[Congratulations! You have got a new Class!]

[Warrior! Level 1!]

[Accept: Yes/No?]

"Um, yes?" He said with some hesitation.

[Warrior! Level 1!]

He didn't felt different. He flexed his arm, make a fist, and punching the air. Nothing felt like it's not supposed to. No new energy coursed through his body, no sudden new mass of muscle. Nothing. Just the normal, regular Daniel Dew.

Suddenly, he remembered another aspect of the game that he played.

"Status." He said. Nothing happened.

"System." Nothing happened.

"Stats." Still nothing.

He resolved to try another time. "Profile." Fat lot of nothing. Now, he felt silly to have said that outloud.

Maybe just a hallucination he though. To put that out of his mind, he decided to focus on the other matter. Namely, the flash of light.

Whilst he focused on the message, he haven't noticed that there is a chest that appeared near the corpse of the slime. And now, he noticed it.

It sat there, innocently, without a speck of the slime marred it smooth surface. It's colored a rich brown and gold without a lock on it. It's small frame can be lifted with one hand.

Another hallucinaton? He though. He decided to take it and have a look.

He used one hand to hold it and the other to opened it. Inside, he saw a small container filled with green sludge the same color as the slime and probably made of of the same stuff, too.

When he take it, the chest burst into wispy white smoke that flown into the sky. It began from the top of the chest and quickly make it's way to the bottom. And just like that, the chest disappear.

Daniel decided to just ignore that and categorized it as another 'weird things in this place'. He focused on the small container, it's glass looks fragile, so he make sure to handle it carefully.

To test the content, he pull the cork on top of it, and very carefully spilled a bit of it's content on a small heap of dead leaves. It begin to sizzle immediatly and melted in just a few second, leaving only a puddle of green liquid.

Yeah, definitly the same stuff Daniel though.

After that, he put the cork in it's place again, securely, and stuff it in his hoodie's pocket. He just hope that he doesn't accidentally break it or someting. That is not gonna be pretty.

And then, he continued on on his quest to find civilization. He walked further in the same direction as before. There is no road or anything, he just walked in the gaps between the trees.

Not long after that, the trees became sparser and sparser until he came into a big expanse of flat lands. There is a few hills here and there. And in the distance there is five mountains jutting out of the land like the fingers of some kind of Titan. And cutting the expanse in half like a slithering giant snake is a river. It runs across from the elevated land from the north side and snaked it's way through a short waterfall all the way to the south where Daniel can't see where it's destination.

The expanse filled with green grass, trees, and flowers. It's simply breathtaking. Daniel stopped for a few moments to enjoyed the scenery.

The peaceful moment destroyed by a sound that is caused by a careless step of a big wolf. The wolf have a grey fur and it was alone. It's got summoned without it's pack. The sudden separation from it's pack and the confusion of the unfamiliar sorrunding makes it aggresive. And then it's noticed Daniel presence.

"Oh, not again." Said Daniel. He is kind of afraid, i mean it was a wolf. A predator. Even if it was alone, a wolf is still a wolf. And it's looks really angry for some reason.

Daniel looks to his surrounding to find a weapon to use against the wolf. He took ahold of a new fallend branch. The old one got destroyed by the slime and he leaved it behind.

The wolf make a low and dangerous sounding growl, and started circling him. With a sudden roar, it's pounced on him.
