The skeletons scrambled to reach the falling orb. Victory would be theirs. The one who threw it was simply standing with a smile on his face. Then he was gone. He grabbed the orb and sprinted away.

This function was only used defensively. Nobody was ever insane enough to take a dungeon core into the enemy's dungeon and likely no one ever would. The risk was too great unless you were totally confident. The short distance teleportation was just not worth the risk. Of course if it was long range...

Then a vampire appeared from the core, and another, and another, until there were 10 standing in the corridor, each with a hand tied behind their backs. They proceeded to massacre all monsters on the floor while humming.

"Wait, you can only purchase things inside your own labyrinth... Does the floor count if the core is there... But you can't edit a floor if enemies are there... Could it be?"

Yes it was. Toa had assigned each as the dungeon boss and had them teleport to the labyrinth.

"Wait... are vampires that strong... Those swords... Whycalibur? So it was a mass produced model? Was I duped? No the strength is real. What kind of person could mass produce these... Then the sword the lord was using is even stronger? How insane could it really be?"

And just like that, a floor was conquered... while humming... with a hand tied behind their backs.

Similarly, Al did a speedrun through the labyrinth while summoning 10 vampires on each floor and keeping them there to prevent editing. The vampires proceeded to wreak their respective floors and make them unusable.

By the end of the day, 15 floors were conquered and 12 were wrecked while the vampires loitered around and played poker afterwards. These were, of course not the dungeon's vampires but rather new ones, recently summoned in Toa's personal room.

The Oceanic emperor could not stand it. His dungeon was being belittled. The stronger monsters that were capable of defeating the vampires were taken out by the lord.

"Release the offensive corps on defense. Let that bastard vampire lord duke it out against a dragon."

He had lost clear reason. The wrecked dungeon was more expensive than 100,000 DP. Yet... Not even one vampire died. Not one trap was sprung.

The reason, of course was that not only the dungeon core and boss, but the dungeon master was there as well.

"I see... He dressed as a vampire and throughly edited each floor to be unusable. He sunk all paths leading to dead ends and dismantled all traps. Really... Who is he?"(Innocent Bystander)

Dungeons have a star ranking out of 10. The old dungeon was a one star. The underwater dungeon was 2 stars. It was too weak for even Al alone as long as he still held his sword. He would not even be injured due to HP drain.

What, then, was the reason for bringing the core which only decreased his offenses? The teleport and backups were not valid excuses. It was simply to further anger the enemy.

Al splendidly killed every monster in the dungeon save the offensive corps. There was a need for their dungeon to be attacked as well, after all...

By the second day, the dungeon was conquered and fully wrecked.

Al was in the core room. The offensive corps were locked into a portion of the 23rd floor and were trying to hack their way out.

There were 10 vampires on every floor. All traps were disarmed. No traps or monsters could any longer be summoned.

All that was left was defeat. But it did not come. All vampires in the 25th floor entered the core room and... Started playing blackjack. A message was given to the dungeon master boss that was also in the core room.

"10 days. You have 10 days to capture our dungeon. On the occasion that you do, it will not be counted as your win, but rather as a draw. We will not harm you or the core in that time. Naturally, we shall clear the vampires from the first floor and release the offensive corps of yours. However, if you or any other monster in this dungeon tries to harm any of the vampires stationed in the second floor onwards, or you try to leave this room or if anyone else tries to enter this room, we will kill you and touch the dungeon core, securing victory. You are a mere harmless existence to me. Don't try anything funny."(Al)

(Damn, I have only 136,000 DP left. If I surrender this battle, then I'm left with an empty dungeon and a mere 36,000 DP.

With that, even a 3 star party can conquer the dungeon. All my minions were killed. I could not even kill one of their number.)(Oceanic Emperor)

2700 bats were summoned inside the boss room and proceeded to drain the emperor out of mana. Then, one of the vampires, which was actually Toa tied him up with a rope enchanted with Durability max.

"What is this???"(Emperor)

Then, a dummy core was castled with the main core and the boss teleportation feature was used on Toa and Al, leaving 9 vampires and 270 bats in the core room playing poker.

The vamps on the first floor retreated and the offensive corps were released.

"Well, your time starts now."(Toa)
