As Ichiro raised his blade to kill Momo, Momo awoke his eyes wide with shock, he cast the hand sign for Dæinvorol as the beast emerged from a portal behind Momo, slamming Ichiro away with a singular strike from his mace. Amirah attempted to stab at the beast, as it blocked her strike, punching her in the face as she was sent flying thousands of miles away.
Dæinvorol returned to Momo, kneeling to him as it requested its orders.
“Dæinvorol, Sovereign of Souls. I remove you from your restrictions, kill Ichiro, and bring Amirah back alive.” Momo ordered the beast, as its eyes awakened, standing up.
Dæinvorol charged toward Ichiro as he returned. Ichiro slammed his leg across Dæinvorol’s head as he descended to the ground, summoning a group of wraiths fight with him. The wraiths began firing off various ranged and melee abilities, cutting away at Dæinvorol as the beast took no injuries whatsoever, dissipating many of his opponents and evolving to resist their powers.
Breaking through the wraiths one by one, Dæinvorol charged toward Ichiro, to which Ichiro blasted him away with a telekinetic attack, smiling at the beast as it worked its way back toward him.
Ah, so it evolves. Interesting. Ichiro thought to himself, holding the beast at bay with his finger. Dæinvorol broke through, grabbing onto Ichiro as he activated his aura to repulse him.
I’ll have to kill it in a singular strike. Ichiro thought, smiling at the beast as it grabbed him, slamming him into the ground repeatedly, breaking his aura.
At least the seal is holding well. The beast would’ve destroyed the solar system by proxy of existing, what did removing the restrictions do to it? Raúl theorised.
Dæinvorol slammed his mace into Ichiro, as he felt the paralysis and poison spread across his body. Ichiro looked at Dæinvorol, using his telekinesis to send Dæinvorol into a catatonic state, destroying its equivalent of a mind temporarily.
Ichiro broke free, spewing up blood as he panted heavily, replicating one of Rancour’s slashes with his telekinesis, as he made the hand sign for his Dominion.
“Spectral Dominion: The Boundless Dreamscape.” Ichiro chanted as the Dominion was cast, his eyes glowing an ethereal purple, symbolizing his psychic control. The Dominion began folding reality in on itself like paper before snapping into the endless, surreal twilight. As the world around them shifted into a distorted, dreamlike void, the environment becoming an endless horizon, blending into a gradient of twilight colours—pinks, purples, and dark blues, with stars spiralling across the sky in chaotic patterns. Objects floated randomly in the air, constantly shifting in shape and size, while fragments of places and memories emerged, suspended like fragments of glass in mid-air. This Dominion was a place where nothing abides by the rules of time or physics; Ichiro’s power reigns supreme, bending everything to his will.
Ichiro held a callous smile, preparing to unleash his true power.
“Time to die, you beast. There’ll be no adapting to this, you can tell, despite your mediocre intellect, you know that your evolutions have been nullified. The concept of evolutions don’t exist because I decided so!” Ichiro yelled, telekinetically bringing an incredibly large star from the sky and throwing it into Dæinvorol.
Dæinvorol destroyed the star, grabbing Ichiro and attempting to crush him as he tore the fabric of reality open, removing Dæinvorol from him and placing him on the other side of the Dominion.
“Thought Distortion.” Ichiro recited, as Dæinvorol lost his sense of perception, in his altered state, Dæinvorol’s sense of time, distance, and even his own body was twisted and distorted. Ichiro’s attacks appeared closer or farther than they were, Dæinvorol felt his limbs stretch and shrink, immobilizing him. The surreal atmosphere of the Dominion created the loss of Dæinvorol’s perception of existence itself, overloading his senses, as he became dull.
“Limitless Demise!” Ichiro yelled, forming two pointing expression that resembled guns. The reality tearing wave enveloped Dæinvorol, entirely destroying him, as Ichiro closed his Dominion.
Ichiro panted, looking over at King Raúl, who assessed him quietly, with an immense intrigue. His power was similar to his before he was sealed.
Hm. He looks as if he is the spitting image of Rancour himself. His techniques, the way he carries himself, his overwhelmingly chaotic power. Is he? Raúl thought to himself, as Ichiro interrupted his thoughts.
“I am exactly who you think I am, King Raúl. I am the Son of Chaos, and the Embodiment of Control.” Ichiro stated, as he saw Lord Vallum and Richard return from space.
“Then I suppose it is best to demonstrate who exactly I am, Ichiro Okumura.” Raúl replied, walking toward Lord Vallum and Ichiro.
Both of them were instantly thrown into a rock across the battlefield.
Well, I can certainly say the seal is working if they only imprinted the rock. Raúl thought to himself as a confident smile showed on his face.
The two continued to be pressed against the rock as he moved closer. The full breadth of their techniques doing nothing at all to dispel Raúl’s.
“How do you like this technique, Lord Vallum? It took a lot of work. It’s a hereditary technique from my clan, called Sanctuary. It’s the fourth and final technique of the Immoran Totality and Equilibrium techniques which I was lucky enough to inherit from my parents. Unlike most of my clan, I was intelligent enough to harness the technique at its fullest extent. Not at all to discredit my clan, most are absolute geniuses that could affect the world with their technological knowledge and inventions, however I was entirely different. I am the first of the Immoran line to be given the title ‘genius amongst geniuses’ in more than a millennium, when you killed the last one with said title. It’s a funny twist of fate, isn’t it? He was far too young to properly fight you, and only had knowledge of science and mathematics that scratched the surface of what was truly possible. However, over my years, I learnt fields in their totality, mathematics, sciences, applied and theoretical physics, you name it. I became so fluent in these beautiful fields of study, that I was able to effortlessly predict the future. But I'm getting carried away. The Sanctuary technique was one that my time in the Void Realm led to me mastering, by proxy of being trained by the Void Master to have my aura, space-time technique, Exterior technique and Resonance techniques active at all times.” Raúl explained.
“You know you talk a lot, King.” Lord Vallum interjected.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
“And I wasn’t finished, you annoying waste of space. Explaining my techniques only makes them more effective, so shut up, and listen.” Raúl commanded, slamming his fist into Lord Vallum’s midsection, as he fell to his knees, shaking intensely.
A casual punch? He didn’t even imbue any Spectral Energy into it, and he was definitely holding back! Lord Vallum thought, as he began choking and contorting, as terror spread across his body.
“Good grief, is that fear? Seems we found out you aren’t so fearless after all, ‘Lord Vallum.’” Raúl mocked, laughing hysterically.
“Can you finish your explanation, I’m getting quite bored here.” Ichiro interrupted.
“Of course, of course. Where was I? Ah yes. My mastery of these abilities allowed me to put a strain on his mind, making me output the power of hundreds of minds every hour and thousands of times more if I were to apply the technique at its fullest extent, only something one with a prodigal mind could achieve even with me offsetting its consumption by consistently regenerating my mind instinctively. With this technique I essentially gain a perfect defensive set, my aura repulses and automatically stops enemies, damaging them as they attempt to get closer. My space-time technique instantly set the value of space at infinity and the value of time at zero, meaning to hit me, you must bypass stopped time, and an infinite distance. I also telekinetically apply the Exterior technique consistently, which entirely repulses anything that gets near to me, increasing in potency as an enemy gets closer, also weakening and reducing the output of the attack before it. I have also mastered and created an entirely new form of Resonance, called Harmonious Virtue, the barrier is far stronger than any other Resonance Barrier, and automatically repairs itself whilst using next to no Spectral Energy to regenerate.” Raúl described.
“Have we heard enough?” Ichiro asked.
“Yes, I think Momo is ready to fight again, so do your best Ichiro, I’ll be watching. And you, scurry off to your master.” Raúl ordered, as he reduced his Sanctuary technique back to its base form, dropping the two down.
“King?” Momo called, as Raúl turned around.
“Yes Momo, what is it?” Raúl replied.
“What about Dæinvorol? What happened?” Momo queried.
“He’ll be back. He’s returning to his true self, and I assume he’ll alert the Soul Realm of the return of Chaos.” Raúl answered, as he beckoned Momo to fight Ichiro.
“Fight him, whenever Amirah decides to show, use her to break Momo, understood?” Lord Vallum demanded.
“I understand clearly, Vallum. Return to my father, now.” Ichiro replied, as the two stared each other in the face.
“Now. Where were we, Momo?” Ichiro asked sarcastically, as Momo raised his hands.
Momo dashed toward Ichiro, as the two clashed fists. Momo picked up Ichiro, throwing him away as he entered Ultimate Form, chasing Ichiro down and appearing to his side, an icy glow enveloping him.
“Ardour’s Spark!” Momo chanted, as Ichiro contorted violently. Momo continued punching away at Ichiro, finishing by kicking him in the neck as he spun around with the other leg, slamming Ichiro into the ground face first.
Momo’s body sensed danger, leaping into the air, as Amirah’s spear flew past the spot Momo was in a few seconds ago.
Momo turned around in the air, spotting his sister flying toward him. Momo descended to the ground, retracting his sword as he prepared to fight Amirah again. Amirah slammed into Momo, their weapons clashing as Momo threw Amirah to the side.
“Amirah stop this. You’re no match for me.” Momo implored, walking over to Amirah.
Amirah activated a burst of speed, placing her hands on Momo’s head as he relived every moment of torture she lived through. Momo began to scream and shake intensely, walking in non-linear patterns instinctively as Ichiro kicked him onto one knee, his fist moving toward Momo’s face.
“Ardour’s Spark!” Ichiro yelled, as Momo was repelled away, crashing across the ground repeatedly.
Hjalmarr attempted to charge in to help Momo, to which Raúl stopped him.
“What are you doing, he’s losing, and they’re torturing the poor kid!” Hjalmarr roared, raising his fist toward Raúl.
“Not yet. Momo has received his Ultimate Form far too early; he must be broken back down, so he does not limit his growth. He still has multiple forms to pass before reaching his Ultimate Form. We need him to break, so he can be built back up once more. Besides, I’m going to have to bring out your potential for this fight.” Raúl explained, as thunder cracked overhead from his bestowal of Hjalmarr’s full potential upon him.
Ichiro picked Momo up, punching him twice, and gut-checking him as Amirah pushed the full weight of the universe’s madness and suffering onto him, as his screams became louder and more desperate.
“We have to let Ichiro’s Dominion hit Momo. You’ll have your chance to bring him back.” Raúl implored, holding Hjalmarr back.
“What if he uses that ultimate technique?” Hjalmarr replied.
“He won’t, if I sense it, I’ll have you break it.” Raúl calmly assured him.
“Spectral Dominion: The Boundless Dreamscape.” Ichiro recited as the Dominion opened around the three of them.
I am surprised of that kid’s power. He looks no older than twenty and yet he can perform a Spectral Dominion twice in a short series. Most would be too burnt out after one to be able to use their techniques effectively. He truly is the son of Rancour. Raúl thought to himself, as he beckoned Hjalmarr forth to destroy the Dominion.
Hjalmarr shattered the Dominion, retrieving Momo as he took them a small while away from the battlefield.
“Time to get up Momo.” Hjalmarr urged, as Amirah and Ichiro got closer.
“I can’t Hjalmarr.” Momo cried, tears streaming through his eyes.
“Momo, you have to get up. We have a duty to protect those around us, a duty to fight, we have been given immense power. We must be better than those who heartlessly kill and maim innocents!”
“You don’t get it. They hurt Amirah; they tortured her. She’s theirs now.” Momo hopelessly uttered.
“That should be even more motivation to fight! When the enemy is winning, when the enemy takes something you or I love, we get back up and refuse to be beaten! Their war is demoralisation, a desperate scramble to make us feel it is futile to fight back, but we mustn’t give in Momo, our war is hope and perseverance! No matter what hits us, we always get back up, stronger every time!” Hjalmarr declared, as Momo looked up at him with wide eyes, genuinely believing what was said.
“Are you ready to fight, brother?” Hjalmarr asked.
“More than I ever will be.” Momo responded.
