Momo wiped the sweat from his face. Another day of handling farm animals passed, and he sat with his father, overlooking the setting sun, gently cooling as its disc sunk below the horizon.
“Momo, Rowan!” His mother's voice called.
His mother and younger sister walked down the steep hill overlooking the cattle and sheep down below, bringing water and assorted foods to them after their day of hard work.
“Thank you, Aeno.” Rowan answered to his wife warmly.
His family was welcoming and warm, a feeling he cherished. His mother was different to most. She wasn't from Earth, she was from a galaxy lightyears away, she was a Nasporian, superhuman in every way. She boasted incredible strength, intelligence, and most importantly love. She had love for her husband and children like no other. She loved them for accepting her, despite her crimson eyes and pale blue skin, her family loved her. An unconditional love, shared between the four of them.

The four headed back to their house upon the hill. Settling in for the night, Momo yawned deeply, awaiting a long night's rest.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
A violent, angry knocking came of the door. Momo's father grabbed his sword, moving toward the door cautiously as a large banging began against it. The door fell down with armed men entering the house, as one immediately engaged Rowan, and the other engaged Aeno, but was quickly bested. Rowan was disarmed, as Momo ran at the man to protect his father, he was sliced across the eye, falling to the ground in pain.
His mother turned to face the intruder and was stabbed in the abdomen before she could make a move.
Grabbing her by hair, the men brought a sword to her neck, as Momo onlooked in terror.
“Die, witch!” He yelled, slicing across her neck, causing her magenta blood to pour our rapidly. They dropped her, waiting for her to die like wolves waiting upon their prey.
Rowan got up, brandishing his sword and letting out a cry of anguish.
“Die!” He yelled, the intense anger of his voice painting the room in his fury and rage.
He charged at the man, killing him and fighting both the other men.
“Run, boy! Take your sister and don't look back!” Rowan commanded his son. Momo grabbed his sister, slinging her onto his back, and running as fast as he could.
The sound of a stab and his father's last gasp could be heard as tears poured down Momo's face, knowing his parents were no more, he vowed revenge upon those who wronged his family.
