Chapter 4

The closer Ares got to the Black pond more pressure he faced, the pressure was so strong that cracking sounds could be heard from his bones. Every step he took seemed to take an eternity, but his steps never quivered, he withstood the pain and continued walking forward.

After some time Ares stood next to the rocky border of the pond, with small and delicate steps he entered the Black water.

As his toes entered in contact with the boiling water, he felt pain; the pain assaulted every part of his body, as if hot needles perforating his flesh, bones and muscles

Feeling pain Ares didn’t make a sound, he just continued walking forward as the water got deeper and deeper.

 After reaching the middle of the pond the water reached up to his chest

*Hufff SHHHH*

Ares calmly inhaled and exhaled.

After a series of deep breaths, Ares got in position; he separated his feet from each other and pulled his fists to his waist in a horse like stance. This position was also known as ‘Qi Form Stance’, the most simple yet most effective way of exercising the body and absorbing Qi

Ares could feel that the elements inside the pond were five times purer than the outside world; the elements seemed to have fused with the black water. Knowing this Ares put more effort in absorbing and melting the elements inside his body.

For hours Ares stood still, soaking in the Black Water. He could feel his body slowly getting stronger, and a small shining ball began condense inside his brain, this small ball was where the Magus Qi is stored.

All of sudden the water began to chaotically move and formed a vortex with Ares in the center

 “Damn…” (Ares)

Ares contorted in pain as the volume of water absorbed by his body kept increasing, and his muscles bulged up and down like a beating hear.

He could feel his body slowly heating up and getting stronger at an alarming rate, his strength kept increasing. If before he lifted 200Kg with one hand, now he could lift 350Kg with one hand easily, but it didn’t stop there. His strength increased at an alarming rate…370Kg, 390Kg, 420Kg, 450Kg…Before finally stopping at incredible 500Kg

Ares sensed that after this transformation his body could retain more Qi, his Qi passageways were strengthened and his Battle Dantian has become purer.

 Ares’ Magus Dantian had a progressive size change (Note: There are two Dantians, the Battle Dantian and the Magus Dantian)

“So it’s like that…To a Warrior a strong body is needed, in order to handle the vicious Qi. The stronger the body more Battle Qi I can use and more proficient on controlling it I can get…but what Element is this?” (Arthur)

Arthur noticed that deep black element’s particles were floating in the black water and being absorbed by his body; these black particles were quite different from the other element’s particles.

Every element had different colors used to represent it, so when Ares noticed those particles inside the water that were slowly being swallowed by his body, he couldn’t help but be surprised

He could feel a strange sensation spreading throughout his body, when these black particles entered in contact with his blood. He could feel a throbbing and painful sensation as his blood started to get a light black coloration

After this process Ares could feel that a change occurred to his Dantian and body, but he couldn’t pin point what changed

“Let me test” (Ares)

Saying this Ares arched his back and drew his fist next to his chest, after some seconds concentrating he launched a punch on the air. This punch was so fast and mighty that you couldn’t see the fist moving, you could only hear the sound of the fist splitting the air

“I’m still a 3rd Rank Warrior, but this liquid is quite impressive, with its help I am already 2nd Rank Magus… the Magus Qi in my body is greater than others Magus” (Ares)

The Awakening ceremony is realized in the 13th birthday, because before that the Human’s mind can’t endure the Magus Qi. There were cases where people tried to absorb the elements and transform it in Magus Qi, but their brains exploded in blood and gore…The Magus Qi is different from the Battle Qi, you can train your Battle Qi while training your body, but the Magus Qi demand a great Mental strength and at least a small ability to control the World elements.(Note: While Battle Qi is stored beneath the navel, Magus Qi is stored in a part of the brain)

“Anyway…It seems like I can’t absorb more…Whatever, let’s get out of here first, besides I still need to get used to this strength” (Ares)

Ares turned around and walked back with long steps towards the flame ball, the only light source in this dark and rocky underground cave (Note:I forgot to mention in the last chapter that they are in a underground cave and the Black pond is in the middle of the cave…sorry my fault)
