Chapter 2.

Inside the Imperial Castle, there was large and decorated bedroom.

A black haired youth sat on a chair and vaguely looked through the window; his deep-black eyes looked at the falling snow and the passing people who wore thick fur clothes made of different kinds of animals.

“This world is quite different from mine…at least in this world humans aren’t waging against each other. It’s understandable; since this Kingdom is the last stronghold of Human Race…It’s been one year since I came to this world”

A reminiscence look flashed through the youth eyes.

*Knock, Knock*

Someone knocked and slowly opened the door, a white haired man entered the room, his face had numerous scars and wrinkles giving him a scary impression, he wore a long bear fur robe with a bear head as its hood.

“Crown Prince… Why are you taking so long?”

The youth averted his eyes from the window and lazily looked at the man who just entered.

*Sigh*

Sighing the youth rose from the chair and sluggishly walked towards the door

Every movement of the youth seemed to be normal, but with each step an oppressive rhythm surged around him as if he was walking in a bloody battlefield and ready to attack at any time.

“I was just appreciating the view William” (Crown Prince)

“What view? The only thing I can see is snow, Crown Prince” (William)

The youth looked at William and shook his head.

“You need to look at everything with different points of view and I already said to you not to call me ‘Crown Prince’”

“Different Points of View is it? I think that in this Wolrd there is only one point of view and that is your own point of view HAHA...Now let's go Cro-Prince Ares” (William)

Prince Ares looked at the simling William and shook his head as both of them exited the room and walked shoulder to shoulder through a hallway filled with bronze statues wielding swords, axes, bows and other sorts of weapons.

Engraved on the walls there were numerous illustrations, depicting different kinds of animals and bloody battles, the one that attracted the most attention is one of a big muscular man wearing a gray mantle made of wolfs fur and wielding a big axe. Under the illustrations there was a name

“The Berserker King “

The Berserker King, one of the most illustrious figures of the Humans Race. He alone held the enemies army for three days, thus enabling the Humans to retreat to the far North, some stories says that he killed millions of enemies before finally dying by exhaustion.

“So…why did you called me?” (Prince Ares)

Ares didn’t avert his gaze to look at William and continued to stride forwards with delicate but decisive steps

“Prince Ares… Today is your 13th birthday, you know what it means right?”

William gazed at the unfazed Crown Prince, with a strange look surfacing in his eyes, since one year ago the Crown Prince began to forget things frequently so William was quite worried about it.

“Oh Right…The awakening ceremony” (Prince Ares)

The awakening ceremony, this ceremony is held to determine the aptitude of someone to the elements. Humans are the only race that can use every type of elements, but talent is needed. It’s extremely few the people who can master all attributes to a basic level; most people focused solely in one element and leveled it as far as their talent allow.

 There are seven main elements: Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Light, Thunder and Darkness; some scholars say that exist a eight element named Void but no record of it was found.

Humans can choose between the Warrior Path and the Magus Path.

Warrior Path: This path is based on absorbing Battle Qi. The basic Qi could be gathered from the ‘Qi Form Stance’. The ‘Qi Form Stance’ was the most simple, yet most effective way of exercising one’s body. The battle Qi is stored in a fist-sized location beneath the navel. The warriors rely on absorbing the elements as part of their training and then transforming it in Battle Qi (Water Battle Qi, Fire Battle Qi, Darkness Battle Qi, etc…).

The warrior path is divided in ranks: (each rank is divided in early, middle and peak)

-1st Rank Warrior: as a 1st Rank Warrior you can pick up 50 KG with one hand easily

-2nd Rank Warrior: as a 2st Rank Warrior you can toss 50 KG with one hand easily

-3rd Rank Warrior

-4th Rank Warrior

-5th Rank Warrior

-6th Rank Warrior

-7th Rank Warrior

-8th Rank Warrior

-9th Rank Warrior

Each rank is based on the accumulation of Battle Qi. The power, ability, technique of a warrior could advance through understanding the Elements.

Magus Path: The Magus Path is only available for those who have natural talent, if one talent is low, their accomplishment will be low as well. This path is based on Mental energy and Control. The magus path is a little different from the Warrior path, in this path you control the elements outside of the body, and the need to absorb Magus Qi inside the body is almost null, but of course every Magus needs to have a little of Qi inside their body, or they might die.

To attack the Magus uses ‘Magical Incantations’, the Magical incantations are used by those who don’t have an understanding of the elements, it’s like a set of words programmed to stir up the elements, so even if a person doesn’t have an understanding they can manipulate the elements. If a person does have understanding then the attack created will be twice as powerful as using ‘Magical Incantations’ and there is no need for incantations.

The Magus path is divided in: (each rank is divided in early, middle and peak)

-1st Rank and 2nd Rank called Junior Magus

-3rd Rank and 4th Rank called Senior Magus

-5h Rank and 6th Rank called Master Magus

-7th Rank, 8th Rank and 9th Rank called Arch-Magus

(The status of a magus is a full rank higher than that of an equivalent warrior. Magus has a social standing higher than a warrior because the destructive potential their spells have is enormous.)

Hearing the question, William looked at the Crown Prince and slowly replied.

“He is in the Throne Room… He commanded me to fetch you, so that we can start the ceremony” (William)

“That old monster is quite rushed” (Prince Ares)

A strange smile appeared on the scarred face of William, seeing this smile all the hairs on Ares body lifted up, and he stopped walking.

“Oh…and he said that if you delayed too much and leave him waiting he will come and teach you something new” (William)

William said with the smile still lingering on his lips.

“O-Oh, let’s not leave him waiting” (Ares)

Ares hastily said, as he quickly resumed his steps
