Chapter 1

Human Sovereign

Chapter 1.

On a filthy and narrow alley, a man was sitting on the cold and moist ground, around him dozens of cans and papers were spread all over the ground, as if the man had hit a garbage can scattering all the trash inside it on the moist ground.

The man had a fairly short dark hair, light brown eyes and a 1.8 meter height. He wore a torn black leather jacket and jeans.

On his body dozens of bullets holes and cuts could be seen as the blood slowly flowed down from his injuries and rhythmically dripped on the floor, forming a small pool of blood.

However the man didn’t seem to be in pain or in any kind of physical struggle.

The man lifted his hands and with difficulty grabbed a cheap pack of cigarettes in his jackets’ pocket and arduously swayed it, taking out a cigarette and putting betweens his lips.

Afterwards he tried to take out a lighter in his pockets’ pants, but he discovered that he couldn’t feel his finger anymore, shortly after; he lost the feelings of both arms and finally the legs.

A sarcastic smile formed on his cracked lips, causing the cigarette to fall on the small pool of blood.

The man lazily closed his eyes; the sarcastic smile was lingering on his lips as if mocking Fate, God or any other Supreme Being ruling the universe.

Alcacia World, Sim Continent – Human Kingdom

The Human Kingdom, located in the far north where the sun hides itself behind the gray clouds and only appears twice a year, making it an extremely rash and cold environment place where just the strong survives.

Most of the Human Kingdom lands were covered by innumerous mountain chains, these mountains extended through the borders of the Kingdom, making it an impenetrable natural barrier against any kind of attack from any Races or neighborhood Kingdoms.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

Thousands of years ago, the Human Race was one of the strongest Races on the Sim Continent, but unfortunately everything ended when the other races created an alliance and waged war against Humans.

 “The Purge War”

The Humans resisted for seven hundred years, losing billions of lives throughout the war but the other races didn’t come out unscathed, even if the humans battled alone against the other races.

The Humans massacred trillions of lives and exterminated numerous important bloodlines, causing severe losses to the united races, but in the end they were forced back to their birth place, their original homelands…The merciless and cold Northlands.

After the Humans retreated to their homeland, the other races attacked several times but they were defeated every time, after suffering severe losses the other races slowly receded back to their lands, but a rule was created amongst the ally races….Any human that exited the Northlands, will be killed or captured and sold as slaves.

Sometimes small raiding groups succeeded on crossing the mountains and raided small humans’ settlements…Killing, raping and capturing men and women to be sold as slaves.

“The Frozen capital”

The capital city of the Human Kingdom stretched through thousands of kilometers and it was settled on one of the few flat lands on the Kingdom.

“The Sky Mountain Range” surrounded the capital, turning it into an invulnerable Ice Fortress.

If someone wanted to attack the capital they could only do it after passing through the Divine gate, and if they tried to climb up “The Sky Mountain Range” their only fate was death. The bitter cold and the lurking dangers inhabiting inside the Mountain Range were countless; Very few people could traverse safely these mountains.

The Frozen capital was divided into three sections: The Outer Zone, The Inner Zone and the Head Zone. (Outer

The Outer Zone sheltered the hunters and farmers, since the Kingdoms’ lands were extremely cold and inhospitable very few kinds of crops could be cultivated, so mostly of the food produced were from the hunters, who challenged the merciless jungle and hunted various kinds of animals.

The Inner Zone sheltered noble or merchant families that couldn’t achieve enough merit points to be allocated in the Head Zone, or they merely couldn’t raise enough merit points to keep in the Head Zone so they were dislodged from there and returned to the Inner Zone.

The Head Zone sheltered the Imperial Family, Ministers, Generals and some other noble families that had enough merit points to remain. To become one of the Ministers or Generals you need enough qualifications and contributions, besides the approval of the King.

In the middle of the Head Zone there was an immense and beautiful castle covered in snow, the union between the castle and the snow blanket covering the roof granted an ethereal feeling to the scenery.

This was the Imperial family residence.
