Ieyasu narrowed his eyes as he witnessed just how powerful the Forge of Creation was. It allowed Rui to create a technique that was just so astronomically antithetical to the attacks that Ieyasu had deployed that he was able to entirely negate whatever was thrown at him. And yet, Ieyasu was just getting started.

FWOOOOOSH!!!

An inferno of heat erupted from Ieyasu, coursing against Rui and threatening to incinerate him where he stood.

And yet—

WHOOSH

The inferno died the moment it came near Rui, as though inherently unwilling to hurt him.  In reality, Rui had simply deployed a new technique, the Blizzard of Breath, which not only partially employed the fundamental building blocks of Niflheim to lower temperatures but also manipulated heavens to flush the region immediately around him with carbon dioxide to stop the conflagration from spreading.

WHOOSH

CRACK CRACK CRACK!

Ieyasu's eyes widened as he felt his fingers crack upon contact with Rui's skin.

It had suddenly become rock-hard!

Adamantatine Skin was a technique that made his skin extremely hard and durable. It did this by reducing the temperature of his skin to extremely low degrees and then passing a current through it, causing it to harden through the principles of electrohardening. In other words, Rui could turn his skin extremely firm and strong on demand.

On top of that, he just needed to make it hard enough to exceed the strength of Ieyasu's finger joints, causing the latter's own power to inflict damage on himself. This was the solution provided by the CREATION System against these particular circumstances.

Ieyasu swiftly healed his fingers before manipulating earth to erupt an immense uprising of spikes from the ground to impale Rui where he stood.

And yet, they never came.

Rui pressed his foot into the ground, increasing the coefficient of friction and drag within the depths of the ground, relying on heat and sound to increase the amount of resistance that Ieyasu experienced before the spikes could even reach him.

The attack was negated before it could even begin.

RUMBLE!

The combat arena shook as a storm brewed atop them, eclipsing the entire battle arena as an immense amount of charge brewed within the storm.

Before being unleashed at Rui at full power.

CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!

And yet, it didn't so much as touch him. Countless lightning bolts converged upon him, and yet the moment they arrived near him, they diverged away magically.

This was the Thunder Shield technique that Rui had just spontaneously created. It relied on generating an electromagnetic field through moving charged particles in the air and in his body, created from static electricity and temperature.

Using this simple principle, he was able to effortlessly negate the immensely powerful attack with just a fraction of the energy that his opponent used. All he needed to was offer enough resistance for the streams of lightning to take other paths before they grew grounded to earth.

Ieyasu surge forth into close-quarters combat, throwing a variety of blows at Rui with extraordinary power, assimilating techniques centered around inelastic impacts to maximize blunt-force damage on him. And yet, it did nothing.

BOING

Ieyasu frowned as his attack crashed into what felt like rubber, dealing an impact that ultimately didn't do any damage at all.

This was the power of Rubber Fortress.

Rui has simply relied on modulating internal pressures to break apart the fascial connective tissue under his skin, increasing the amount of flexibility that his entire body had. This led to his entire body essentially being reduced to a jelly that could negate blunt force impacts effortlessly.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!

Heaven itself shuddered as a barrage of vacuum slices shredded the very atmosphere, threatening to cut him where he stood.

And yet, this too was effortlessly negated as Rui simply equalized the pressure on the inside of his body by getting rid of all internal pressure on the points of impact. He called this technique Equilibrium.

What was once a deadly attack that shredded open one's flesh was now merely a breeze that swept over him. The spectators watched as Rui effortlessly nullified each and every one of Ieyasu's techniques.

His very Martial Art became the antithesis of everything that stood in opposition to it. He no longer was limited to adaptively evolving to his opponent by optimal timing and placement with foresight like he had done his entire career as a Martial Artist with the VOID algorithm, the Angel of Laplace, and the SOUL System.

Nor did he have to rely on taxing bodily transformations of the Metabody System that consumed stamina and could not be used indefinitely.

From this day forth, his Martial Art techniques themselves would possess an extraordinary amount of adaptive evolution.

And the power it offered was very clearly on display at the moment.

And yet, Rui was merely getting started.

WHOOSH

He appeared before Ieyasu in the blink of an eye.

"My turn now."

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

He blasted Ieyasu with a maelstrom of blows, one after another. Yin-Yang Spears threatened to batter Ieyasu.

And yet, Ieyasu calmly weathered them.

BOOOM!!!

The Yin-Yang Shield of Heaven and Earth was one of the most powerful defensive techniques that Ieyasu had ever created through assimilation. It drew vibrations from not just his body but also heaven and earth, resulting in vibrations that dwarfed that of the Yin-Yang Spear.

And thus, Rui evolved the technique then and there with the Forge of Creation.

He merged the principles of Flux Earther with the principles of the Yin-Yang Spear. Not only did he rely on the internal vibrations of Yin and Yang, he also absorbed the resistive power of Ieyasu's Yin-Yang Shield of Heaven and Earth as if it was an attack and he was using Flux Earther.

And instead of harmlessly dispersing the impact away with Reverberating Lance in his feet, he instead used it to push forward harder with his legs, generating even greater thrust.

And thus was born the second-most powerful attack he had ever created in his entire life.
