Worshipper Arc. Chapter 40: The fate of the World.
The bright divine light fades.
“What?!” Daimos questions.
“What’s wrong, King of Gods?” Valoran replies with a smirk.
“I struck the ground with enough power to obliterate Ultraverses…how are you still here? How is this world still here?” Daimos asks, confused.
“Take a closer look around you.” Valoran replies.
Daimos turns his enormous body to look around him and focuses his senses.
“It cannot be…” Daimos expresses in shock.
“That’s right. I cast an enormous barrier covering a large area we are both in.” Valoran explains.
An enormous barrier in the shape of a dome covers a huge area in which Valoran and Daimos are.
“It’s a special barrier, normally a barrier keeps damage away from you but this is the barrier of entrapment. It traps both the caster and others within the barrier.” Valoran explains.
“But that’s not all. It also traps any and all damage created to the surroundings inside the barrier.” Daimos adds on.
“You are correct. Any damage that you or I create cannot escape the barrier providing the caster and create the barrier durable enough to withstand the destruction power.” Valoran further explains.
“So…” Daimos says.
“So…now we don’t need to hold back.” Valoran replies charging forward toward the enormous Daimos.
Daimos launches a punch with his enormous fist.
Valoran easily dodges the giant fist.
“Daimos get down here eye to eye.” Valoran states.
“Valoran, you will submit.” Daimos shrinks down to his normal size.
“Not today.” Valoran counters.
Daimos and Valoran charge toward each other.
Valoran and Daimos now throw fists at one another, both landing devastating blows.
Valoran manages to land an uppercut which sends Daimos flying a large distance back.
Daimos impacts the floor hard.
“I’ll tear you apart!” Daimos screams in anger and frustration and gets back up on his feet.
Daimos creates two enormous golden scythes and runs toward Valoran.
Valoran creates two durable swords.
Daimos strikes both scythe’s at Valoran, one on his right and left side.
Valoran blocks both scythes with his swords.
“You manage to block the scythe’s of fate…” Daimos says, slightly surprised.
Scythe’s of fate have the ability to change fate and miracles in the wielder’s favour, this means that Daimo’s should have won the battle the moment the scythe’s struck Valoran.
“You can save your power to manipulate miracles and fate, it will not have an effect on me.” Valoran replies.
“You truly are far more powerful, just like the previous King of Magic prophesied.” Daimos compliments.
“Let’s end this once and for all.” Valoran states.
“I couldn't agree more.” Daimos expresses with amusement.
“What’s so amusing?” Valoran asks.
“My Worshipper's and Angels will soon overpower your subordinates. Soon you will have nothing left.” Daimos replies in further amusement.
Valoran turns his head to look behind him at the battlefield.
He sees his soldiers trying their hardest to overpower the Worshippers but the Worshippers Rings of Livirea grants them a power advantage and it shows as more soldiers fall on the battlefield.
Artemsia and Demonlise kill many Angles but there is no end to them and more waves of Daimo’s angles engage the both of them.
“Demonlise, how are you holding up?” Artemsia asks.
“I’m alright…How are you?” Demonlise questions with concern.
“Concerned. There is no end to them!” Artemsia responds.
“I know. We can’t give up! Keep fighting!” Demonlise replies.
“You see. Not long now and you will lose it all.” Daimos mocks Valoran.
Daimos strikes Valoran with his back hand with enough force to obliterate Ultraverses.
Valoran lands on the floor hard.
“Give up and submit to my rule.” Diamos looks down upon Valoran who’s still on the ground.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Valoran, who is still on the floor, turns his head to face Daimos.
“I will never submit to the likes of you and besides I am not the one who will lose everything.” Valoran explains getting back up on his feet.
“Ohhh, please explain how I am the one to lose it all.” Daimos questions with amusement.
“Take a look in the sky.” Valoran replies.
Daimos does that.
Daimos notices something strange.
Countless of his own angels drop dead from the sky consumed by black flames.
“What?!” Daimos says in confusion.
From the black sky a female voice can be heard.
“Need a hand?” The female voice questions.
Artemsia and Demonlise look toward the source from where the voice came from.
“Who just…?” Artemsia questions.
“I’m not sure who did it but I’m glad to that person.” Demonlise replies.
From the black sky a person descends.
“Aldia, is that you?” Artemsia asks.
“Artemsia, you are alive?” Aldia counters.
“It has been countless aeons since the last time we saw each other.” Aldia says with amusement.
“It’s good to fight along your side again.” Artemsia expresses happiness.
“Demonlise let me introduce you to the High Goddess of annihilation.” Artemsia explains.
“It’s an honour to meet you. I am Demonlise Eloynus.” Demonlise introduces.
“I didn’t come alone.” Aldia states.
From the forest ahead, Hyodi warriors run toward the battle engaging the Worshippers.
Deep in the forest Aldia wanders around seeking the Hyodi warriors.
“It seems they found me.” Aldia states being surrounded by Hyodi warriors jump down from trees.
Hestia (leader of the Hyodi Warriors) engages in a conversation with her.
“State your name and business.” Hesita firmly instructs.
“I am the High Goddess of annihilation and I am here on the behalf of a mutual ally.” Aldia responds.
Upon hearing that Aldia is a Goddess the Hyodi warriors become defensive.
“We don’t trust Gods.” Hestia responds.
“Please, I truly mean no harm but your friend and former will need your help for tomorrow's battle.” Aldia explains.
“Everyone. Lower your weapons.” Hestia instructs the Hyodi warriors.
“Are you sure madam?” A female Hyodi warrior questions to confirm.
“If Valoran shared this info with her, it’s because he sees someone who can be trusted.” Hestia explains to the others.
“Now…you said he needs our assistance.” Hestia says.
“Indeed. He very much does.” Aldia responds.
The present.
“Everyone! Charge at the enemy!” Hestia instructs the Hyodi Warriors.
“You heard her! Let’s give them hell!” Weskel charges at the Worshippers.
With the Hyodi Warriors and Aldia, Valoran's forces begin to slowly gain the upper hand.
“Aldia. You traitor scum. I will deal with you once I am done here.” Daimos mumbles.
“AHHHH!” Daimos screams in pain.
Valoran unleashed a beam of nirvana at Daimos damaging is armour beyond repair and cannot be regenerated.
“What?!...Why won’t it regenerate?” Daimos asks himself.
“Nirvana can negate any regeneration including yours.” Valoran states.
“Impossible…” Daimos is shocked.
“Aldia has told me that you are also capable of regenerating from absolute erasure, but I have enhanced Nirvana beyond that ability.” Valoran explains.
Valoran creates a magic circle the size of his palm facing Daimos.
From the magic circle another beam of Nirvana strikes Daimos.
“AHHH!” Daimos cries out in pain.
Daimos summons Heaven's Judgement.
“You once again summon the most powerful weapon in your arsenal. Now let me show you my greatest weapon.” Valoran states.
A portal appears above him.
From the portal a deep crimson 6ft long Katana emerges.
“What is this?” Daimos asks in fear.
Valoran grabs the sword by the hilt.
“This is my sword Disaster, the sword which will end you for good.” Valoran explains.
“NOOO! I WILL DESTROY YOU!” Daimos swings Heaven’s Judgement at Valoran.
Valoran swings Disaster at Daimos.
A golden energy wave from Heaven’s Judgement clashes head on with a crimson energy wave from Disaster.
Disaster overpowers Heaven’s Judgement cancelling out the golden energy wave.
The crimson energy wave from Disaster at an instant cuts through Daimos divine armour and body.
“AHHHH!” Daimos cries in pain.
“I-It’s the e-end…” Daimos barely has enough strength left to speak.
“Farewell King of Gods.” Valoran swings Disaster a second time at Daimos.
Daimos falls to his knees.
Daimos fades away…
“You must know before I…I…die, that there are far more powerful individuals than me out there and now that you have become the King of Magic those individuals will come after you… and the authority you have…” Daimos says with a weak tone.
“Let them come. I will strike them down.” Valoran replies.
Daimos is now gone for good.
Valoran despells the barrier.
Valoran makes haste and heads for the battlefield.
“EVERYONE! SEIZE ALL BATTLE ACTIONS!” Valoran instructs.
Angels, Worshippers and Valoran’s own troops stop fighting, turning to face Valoran who is hovering in the air.
Valoran shows Heaven’s Judgement to everyone.
“I have defeated the King of Gods Daimos.” Valoran announces.
“It cannot be…”
“He’s telling the truth, he is wielding heaven's judgement.”
The Worshippers drop their weapons and stop casting spells and surrender.
The Angels also do the same.
Angles approach Valoran asking him a question.
“You speak the truth. Heaven’s Judgement can only be obtained by defeating the previous owner or if the owner hands the weapon over willingly. Our King is gone but, how are we able to exist without him? We should have ceased to exist. Also it seems that despite his idea being gone everyone seems to remember him just fine.” The Angels seek answers.
“About that…” Valoran reveals the fragment from Daimos.
“Is that…” Aldia questions.
“It must be…” Demonlise says in confusion.
“The Fragment of KIng of Daimos.” Artemsia adds on.
“But my lord with his fragment intact he isn’t completely gone.” Demonlise informs.
“No, he is.” Valoran reveals his crimson sword disaster.
“I defeated Daimos with this sword. It defies all and is bound to nothing. That includes the rule that the fragment must be destroyed to permanently erase someone. I destroyed that rule with this very sword.” Valoran explains.
“So that’s why even though you left his fragment intact Daimos is truly gone.” Demonlise is stunned.
“Indeed.” Valoran replies.
“It looks like you finally stepped it up kid” Hestia says with a smile.
“Hestia, and the other Hyodi warriors…I want to give you my thanks for your support” Valoran bows his head to them.
Hesita and the other Hyodi Warriors also bow their heads in response.
“It was an honour to assist the King of Magic” Weskel says with sincerity.
“I will never forget this.” Valoran also says with sincerity.
Valoran makes his way over to Aldia.
“Aldia as per our deal I will assist you in becoming the next ruler of the Gods.” Valoran hands over Heaven’s Judgement and the fragment of Daimos to Aldia.
Aldia takes the fragment and fuses it with her own.
“This power…” Aldia says in amazement.
She then takes Heaven’s Judgement.
All the Angels which served Daimos bow to her now.
“My Queen.”
“My Queen”
“My Queen.”
“My Queen”
“My Queen.”
“My Queen” The Angels accept her as the new ruler.
“Aldia, I hope you will lead the Gods on a better path than your predecessor.” Valoran says.
“I will.” Aldia promises.
“Artemsia, will you join me?” Aldia extends her arm to Artemsia.
Artemsia is caught off guard. She begins to think.
She looks at Valoran and back at Aldia.
“Artemsia, do what you think it’s right.” Valoran encourages her.
“After the Gods were led down a dark path I wish to assist Aldia in guiding them and new Gods back to a path of justice and peace.” Artemsia states shaking Aldia’s hand.
“Thank you.” Aldia is grateful.
“Valoran, thank you for saving me from my prison. Thank you for sharing your home with me. Thank you for showing me a happy world. And Thank you for being my friend.” Artemsia says with tears.
Valoran and Artemsia hug each other.
“Give my regards to the others.” Artemsia kindly asks.
“I will.” Valoran replies.
Aldia, Artemsia and the Angels fade away…leaving for the divine realm.
“If there is anything you need, just let me know.” Valoran says to Artemsia.
Artemsia smiles for a few seconds and is gone along with Aldia and the Angels back to the divine realm.
Valoran looks at his remaining troops.
“All of you fought bravely. No King is as proud of its soldiers as I am!” Valoran states.
The soldiers bow to him.
The Battle is over. The King of Magic holds his sword Disaster high in the air to commemorate this victory.
