Worshipper Arc: Chapter 17. Valoran’s new informant.
After Valoran’s warning toward Aldia (a Goddess of annihilation) that if she should ever betray him, he would end her.
Aldia for the first time does not remain in her amused state, but rather becomes scared and anxious as she states into Valoran’s crimson eyes which in that moment look completely empty, only filled with death.
Aldia comes to her senses however and returns to her amused state.
“My Dear boy. After everything I’ve told you…what I have to gain, do you really think I would betray you? My closest ally.” She counters with a smirk with a hiit of fear.
Valoran’s expression changes from the deadly stare he just gave Aldia to a normal state where he looks colder but not intimidating.
“No. I don’t think you would after everything you just shared. However, make no mistake, Goddess of annihilation, I will keep my guard up.” Valoran clearly states.
“Of course. I understand. By the way, thankyou for answering my question.” Aldia says once again amused.
Valoran looks confused about what question she is referring to.
Aldia solves the mystery…
“If it was you who killed Hilliam and Raizel of course.” Aldia remarks.
Valoran, knowing he can’t hide that fact any longer from her, does in fact confirm it.
“That’s right. Those two made a grave mistake and paid with their lives for it.” Valoran states.
Aldia, who is intrigued by that, wishes to know what “mistakes” Valoran is referring to.
“Tell me, what mistakes did they commit?” Aldia asked again amused.
Valoran looks at her.
“They stood in my way.” Valoran responds with an emotionless tone.
“Hahaha. You truly are an interesting one.” Aldia responds.
“I’m no fool however, I know the High Gods are completely different in power and make Hilliam and Raizel look infinitesimal in comparison. Then we have the King himself who makes those High Gods such as yourself make you look like amateurs I assume.” Valoran states curiously.
“That would be an overestimation…the King of Gods…is on a completely level than even us h
High Gods. A being of pure power and ruthlessness… he makes us look like “infinitesimal” my dear boy” Aldia warns with fear in her voice.
Valoran, who did not know that the God King was this much more powerful than High Gods, does look concerned if he can defeat him when the time comes.
Aldia picks up on that.
“Please do not concern yourself with this matter as of yet. It will be a while when the time comes to face off against the King of Gods.”
Valoran stares at Aldia…
“When that time comes, I will be more than ready to face off against your King, until then I will deal with his worshippers and other threats.” Valoran states as he begins to walk away from Aldia leaving, heading back to the others.
Aldia smirks in amusement due to Valoran’s confidence and fearlessness.
“Not many are this confident and fearless when hearing the King's name since it causes fear and despair in most. You truly are an interesting one Valoran Silver” Aldia remarks.
“You flatter me annihilation Goddess, I fear no one, not even King Daimos . Until we meet again” Valoran casts irum ( teleportation magic).
Aldia has one final question.
“Valoran Silver. Why do you hate Gods so much?”
Valoran with his back turned toward Aldia.
“I have my reasons…When I was born, Rouge Angels attacked my village killing many of the villagers and almost my mother. That's when I learned how cruel Gods and the divine are. That’s why I hate them.” Valoran says with a hateful voice.
Valoran teleported away, back to his reality where the others eagerly waited for him.
At an instant Valoran appears in front of the Group who are all still inside the barrier Valoran created for protection.
As soon as he appears the others' worries are replaced with relief as they see that Valoran is unharmed.
“Your back!!!!!” Tiara yells with relief and excitement.
“Glad to see you're safe there, hahaha” Egor laughs energetically.
Valoran nods toward Egor with a smirk.
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
Aleister walks up to Valoran.
“I’m glad to see that you are well.” He says also with a relieved tone.
“I appreciate your concerns.” Valoran remarks with sincerity.
“Who was that woman?” Cera questions with curiosity.
Alesia also shares Cera’s curiosity.
“I also wish to know who that frigenting woman was.” Alesia questions.
Valoran proceeds to answer the group but decides to not tell them the complete truth to not make them Worshipper targets.
Valoran faces the curious group.
“She is just a mere magic user asking for assistance. The reason she asked for me was because I broke her spell from 4000 years ago and she asked me if I were to help her in the future.” Valoran answers and explains calmly.
The others look confused mostly by the fact that this person is said to be over 4000 years ago.
“Wait….4000 years ago?” Cera asks with more curiosity.
“How can someone be alive after all this time?” Alesia questions intensely.
Gods cursed her with eternal life and to whatever she touches becomes annihilated, she asked if I could perhaps break her curse which I am unable to do so.” Valoran lies.
The others believe in Valoran lies.
“I agreed to help her find a solution and to isolate herself for now.” Valoran states.
“I hope you two can find a way to break her curse.” Tiara expresses with sympathy.
“We will Tiara.” Valoran reassures.
“It’s dark already. They should be home by now.” Egor points out
Aleister agrees with Egor.
The other three adventurers who were trapped inside the cave get up on their feets ready to head home.
Valoran faces the three adventurers and Tiara.
“Please allow me.” Valoran says.
Valoran raises his hand and creates four separate portals with each portal leading to one of the four’s homes which he obtained by reading their minds.
“That’s….” The human adventurer is speechless.
“....My home…” The elvish adventurer expresses with tears of joy in her eyes.
The demon adventurer looks toward Valoran and bows in gratitude. The other three do the same gesture bowing their heads in gratitude for saving them and now bringing them home.
“It’s alright.” Valoran answers and answers.
The three adventurers who Valoran saved turn around and go through their portals which leads them home.
Valoran calls out Tiara before she does the same.
“Tiara please wait a moment.”
Tiara, surprised, turns to face Valoran.
“Please meet me at the entrance of the academy 30 minutes before class begins, I have a surprise for you” Valoran states.
Tiara's eyes widen in excitement and curiosity dominates her mind.
“A surprise?...” Tiara tries to confirm.
“Yes, what do you say?” Valoran questions.
“Uhmm…i’ll be there, I can’t wait.” Tiara says first with hesitation which quickly turns to excitement.
“I’ll see you tomorrow morning then.” Valoran says.
Tiara then turns around and walks through her portal which transports her home.
Aleister, Sage, Alesia, Cera and Egor also thank Valoran for his actions.
“We thank you Valoran for what you did.” Aleister and the others bow their heads toward him.
“You're too kind everyone.” Valoran answers.
“Will you be alright going home by yourself or should we accompany you?” Aleister wants to reassure he can go home by himself.
“Don’t worry I'll be more than fine.” Valoran answers.
“After everything we saw today…” Sage says.
“We believe you” Cera finishes the sentences with a smile.
“Don’t be a stranger kid. If you need anything from us, we will be there.” Egor expresses with a huge smile.
“He’s right, please let us know if you need us.” Alesia also expresses with a smile.
Aleister shakes Valoran’s hand.
“You truly are a great person, Valoran Silver.” Aleister states with a smile of his own.
“I’m looking at four great adventurers right now led by a great leader.” Valoran replies, referring to Aleister, Alesia, Sage, Cera and Egor.
Valoran casts Irum (teleportation magic).
At an instant Valoran teleports himself home.
Valoran stands in front of the door of his home.
Valoran attempts to open the door to realise that the door is locked which was strange since the door is never locked.
“Hmm…why is the door locked?” Valoran asks himself curiously.
He knocks on the door.
“Who is it?” Aelina asks with worry.
“It’s me Mother” Valoran replies.
“Ohh Valoran…just a moment.” Aelina replies with relief.
Aelina unlocks a couple of locks and opens the door.
“How was your day? Did you enjoy your adventurer” Aelina asks, full of energy with a hint of worry.
Valoran picks up on his Mother’s troubled tone of voice.
“That’s beside the point Mother. Why did you lock the door? Why do you sound so troubled?” Valoran gets straight to the point.
Aelina gives a fake smile. “Uhmm….It’s nothing locking the door just reassures my safety.”
Hearing her answer Valoran knew that something was wrong.
“Mother. Who threatened you?” Valoran questions directly.
Aelina, who knows she can’t hide any secrets from him, heads toward the dresser, opens up the third drawer and retrieves a letter.
She walks over to Valoran who has taken a seat at the dinner table.
“I received this letter 2 days ago, while you were at the academy.” Aelina states with worry.
Valoran reads the letter.
“Greetings Ms Silver. I will keep this short. You have become a target. You can thank your curse of a son for that. Your son has become an enemy and so have you. We will attack you when you least expect it and if you believe that you are safe within your home then you're wrong. If you let anyone know about this letter we will strike you down.”
Valoran, reading the letter, becomes so infuriated after reading this threat toward his Mother that he burns the letter into nothingness.
“Who dares to threaten my Mother? When I find out who did this…will be annihilated.”
