Chapter 3

I woke up to a knock on the door, so I quickly got up and was about to get dressed when I realized I had no clothes, only armor. I took the cover from the bed and wrapped it around my body before I walked towards the door. I slowly opened the door to see who it was, and it was the daughter of the inn.

"Ehm, good morning miss. Mom wanted me to tell you that there is breakfast if you want downstairs." She said and looked at me, she kept looking me in the eyes with awe... Maybe I overdid it yesterday.

"Thank you, miss...?" I said and hinted for her to tell me her name. I was gonna be a bit shameless and ask her a favor.

"Milly! My name's Milly, what's your name, miss?" She said as she smiled towards me.

"My name is Rudy, I'm pleased to meet you, Milly!" I said as I reached my hand out for a handshake. She quickly grabbed onto my hand to shake it.

"P-Pleased to meet you as well, Miss Rudy!" She said and bowed towards me.

"Hey Milly, could I ask for a favor?" I went straight into it, hoping that she'd help.

"Sure!" She almost yelled, looked almost happy I asked. She doesn't even know what I want her to do yet...

"You see, I don't have any civilian clothes, only armor and if I go out there the entire town will probably follow me..." I said, hoping to get her assistance.

"Ehm, sure. But I don't think I can afford any expensive clothes..." She said, looking embarrassed.

"I got these, will they work?" I said and showed her a piece of the gold I had.

"G-Gold? That's too much!" She said, refusing to take the gold. Is gold worth that much...? I have billions of these coins! I'll try not to use too much of it since it might ruin the economy here!

"It's the only thing I have. Could you buy me a few civilian clothes with these? I don't need anything fancy, and no dresses either. You never know when you might need to fight, so I need clothes I can easily move around in" I said and handed her two gold coins, hoping it would be enough.

"Could you also ask your mother to send some breakfast to my room? I don't have any clothes and wearing a full set of armor is gonna attract a lot of attention." I added and she just nodded and walked off. Maybe two gold was too much?

I went back into my room and looked through my inventory and also looked through my memories to see the skills I had when it was a game. Yesterday before the fight I was behind the horde of monsters, but I could sense the people in the town and wanted to at least help defend the town.

I used Falling Sword which was a skill in the game where I flew up in the sky and landed dealing tons of damage. But here I flew probably thousands of meters up in the air and could almost fly for a minute before I had to land. I decided to land in between the city walls and the horde.

I then used Bombardment, which was a skill to call out meteors, which was devastating, it killed thousands of beasts in seconds. Then I used Heaven's Fury which also killed thousands. I used Shield Bash to engage the trolls and used a Sweep Attack, Blessed Shield, Judgment, and Fist of the Heavens on the trolls. I also had Punish with the Roar Rune so when I blocked the demon's attack, it exploded. I did not think it would deal as much damage as it did though.

I looked through my memories to see the other skills I didn't use. I had Concentration which could Heal me and allies, I had a rune that could make it deal damage as well, but it's better to keep it as a Heal of sorts.

I have Iron Skin which turns my skin into iron basically, making me absorb 50% of all damage within a few seconds. I have a rune to increase the time. I have Shield Glare that makes my shield glow super bright, blinding enemies in front of me for a few seconds.

(A/N: If you want me to explain which skills she uses in fights let me know, but for now I'll just describe the attack as I did in the previous fight.)

As I looked through the inventory, I found that I had all my gear from every Diablo Character, I even had a full Firebird Set for Wizard and lots of other things. I had my leveled up Legendary Gems and even those at level 0. I even had the Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard at level 110, which increased Health Regeneration by 120 000 health per second. I could possibly use this to save someone. I put it on a low-level ring I had and thought to use it as a heal if needed.

After looking through all the gear and skills, there was another Knock on the door. I made sure I had the cover around me and opened the door. The mother stood there with some bread and soup. I was actually pretty hungry, last night's dinner was amazing.

"Hi, thank you for bringing it up here, I know it's selfish of me to ask for it, but I have no clothes, hehe," I said and laughed a bit in slight embarrassment.

"It's fine Miss Rudy, I heard from Milly that you had clothing issues." She said as I let her in the room. She placed the breakfast on the table in the corner of the room and started walking out.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

"I'm Helena by the way, nice to meet you, Miss Rudy!" She looked back and said and closed the door behind her.

I sat by the desk and started eating breakfast slowly, as I knew I had lots of time before Milly came back with the clothes. I finished in less than 10 minutes anyway, I went towards the bed and laid down and started sorting through items, memories and trying to come up with what I should do now.

I was a crusader, I made an oath to live and die for the cause. And I did exactly that, died for it, and now that I’m free to do anything, I wanna explore this new world. Maybe even build my own house somewhere once I want a break from any adventures.

After laying there for almost an hour, I heard a knock on the door, hopefully, it's Milly. I quickly got up and opened the door and it was indeed Milly. She stood there widening her eyes a lot and then looked away with a slight blush. I was gonna ask her why she was blushing when I noticed I forgot the cover for my body. I stood there completely nude in front of her.

"Oh, sorry!" I quickly went to grab the cover and invited her in.

We talked for about 10 minutes and I asked her about the town and such and got a little information. After we talked she had to go down to help her mother and father again, the inn had become quite busy because of me. Travelers who heard the rumors booked a room here just to catch a glance of me apparently.

I also found out that blond hair is very rare in this country, so if I want to stay low I should probably do something about my hair, but I like my hair! Screw that, I'll take the attention! I'm not gonna change something I like about myself because of others!

Anyway, I heard about the Adventurer's Guild, which in the Modern World was quite common in novels, manga, and anime I watched. I was planning on going there to register later, I might even do it in another town as it seems I'm very famous in this town now.

I put the clothes Milly bought me into my inventory before I equipped them, this was a very smooth way to change clothes. I have a pair of black, tight pants and a white shirt and leather boots. I tied my hair in a ponytail and decided to go check out the town.

I walked downstairs and heard a lot of people talking, laughing and cheering. When I arrived at the tavern area I saw it was packed, and as soon as I entered all the cheering, laughing and talking stopped and everyone's eyes were on me. Some of the men were blushing when they looked at me, some looked at me with greed and lust, some with curiosity. It felt pretty disturbing, to be honest. I tried to ignore them as I used to be a man, I kinda understand them. It might sound egoistic, but I'm very beautiful.

I walked past all the people and out on the street, what greeted me was the commander from yesterday with a fat person in front of him. Ugh, that man looks like one of those corrupt nobles you see in anime, one of those with a punchable face. I hope I'm wrong...

"Miss Rudy!" The commander yelled. Damn, he found out my name.

"Commander." I said and nodded towards him. I really don't want to be here, just let me tour this town alone!

"This here is Marquis Bennet, the lord of Rivett. Oh, this town is called Rivett, I'm not sure if anyone told you yet." He said, but I already knew that, as I had asked Milly about it before.

"Pleased to meet you, Marquis Bennet," I said and nodded towards him.

"Ah, how beautiful you are, Miss Rudy, are you perhaps already married?" He said and looked proud of himself, ugh... Why was that the first thing he asked? I already hate him...

"I'm not married, no and I don't plan to marry for quite a while," I said and frowned at him, to give him the hint that I was uncomfortable. But as any douche bag, he either didn't notice or didn't care!

"Then allow me to offer you my hand in marriage." He said and reached for my hand. But I dodge his hand, like hell I would let him touch me, geez! Get a clue!

"No, thank you. If that is all, I will take my leave." I said in a firm voice as I walked past them with a frown on my face, I was pretty disgusted, to be honest.

"Bitch! How da..." He was interrupted.

"Marquis!" The commander yelled at him. But I was pretty offended for being called a bitch because I denied his proposal! I'm pissed.

"Mister Fat Noble, I will be leaving now, please don't ever contact me again," I said loudly, making sure he and everyone else around me heard it as well. He pisses me off, I piss him off! Ugh!

I kept walking down the street, I could hear him yelling at me, he even told the guards to arrest me, but none of them moved. Either they are scared of me because they saw my strength yesterday or they don't want to arrest their savior. Either way, I couldn't care less. I walked around for about an hour looking at every stall I could see, I then saw a huge building and decided to check it out. It had a logo of a pouch on it, maybe the merchants guild?

I stepped inside, there were only a few people inside, but as always they all noticed me... One of the ladies went up to me.

"Hello, there miss, how can we help you today!" She said and bowed slightly.

"I'm looking to exchange some old gold coins for newer currency." I said. I heard from Milly that copper is the lowest and most used, Silver is used for bigger transactions while gold is mostly used by nobles and royalty. 100 Copper was 1 silver and 100 silver was 1 gold. There was also something called White Gold, which was 1000 gold. But I don't really wanna take out that much gold out of nowhere.

"Very well, follow me, miss." She said and walked towards one of the empty counters.

I took out a few pieces of gold and exchanged them with copper and silver. I got a total of 2 000 copper coins and 1000 silver coins, that should do for now. Then I asked for some information about the country, nearby towns and such.

I found out that I was on the edge of the territory and there was another big town around 1 month of travel from Rivett. There were several villages in the path though, so you could usually trade for goods there on the way. I then asked to buy some spices, thinking I might need it if I'm going to travel. They only had Black pepper and Salt, which was very expensive.

I bought 1 kg of each, which cost me 2 gold. Luckily these 2 golds won't even show as a loss for me, as I have billions. But I really don't want to overuse them. I also bought a Magic Bag, which could hold up to 10 kg, this was the lowest grade, there was 10 kg, 100 kg, 1 000 kg and a super rare which was 10 000 kg. As I don't really need the bag, I bought it just for show and pretended to put the spices and coins in the bag as I put them in my inventory.

When I was done I asked for directions to the Adventurers Guild and it was very close to the Merchants Guild, only a minute or so north. I left the Merchants guild and started walking towards the Adventurers Guild. I arrived shortly after and opened the doors, and like always, the yelling, laughing and talking all stopped as soon as I entered. This is getting pretty annoying.
