By the border between the wildlands and the Kingdom of Maland stood a great fortress city with over 50 000 inhabitants. Most of these were either soldiers or adventurers, due to the constant threat coming from the Wildlands. The Wildlands is an unlawful land full of demonic creatures and demons.

Although the city had mostly soldiers, the traffic was impressive. Merchants, adventurers coming and going. The city was surrounded by massive walls, enough to defend against most hordes of monsters that would come from the WIldlands every other year or so.

On top of the wall was one of the guard captains. He was standing on the wall overlooking the people coming and going when he suddenly looked towards the forest which was over 1 km away from the city. It looked like it moved, so he used one of his skills to look closer to see what it was when he saw thousands of monsters, marching towards the town

"HORDE!!!" He yelled and ran towards the blowing horn nearby to blow it. He blew the horn and the entire city and everyone within 1 km radius around it could easily hear it. People who just left started running back into town, caravans were abandoned and everyone rushed back towards the town before the city gate closed.

Once the guard saw that everyone was inside they quickly closed the huge gate and thousands of soldiers, adventurers geared up and took positions on the wall, by the gate, and around the city to stop the panic from spreading.

The horde had stopped just by the edge of the forest, just to show themselves to the humans. Then a humanoid creature which was over 3 meters tall walked in front of the horde. It was almost red in texture and had a long tail behind it, an Archdemon. Everyone on the wall could see it.

Demons in general were cruel and vicious creatures of pure evil, living off the torment of their victims. Archdemons were one of the highest grades of demon there was, with a disaster rank of S, meaning an S rank party would be needed to even stand a chance against one, and those were rare.

“Why is there a damn Archdemon here!?” One of the guards yelled in terror. Those who couldn’t see that far or weren't stationed at the wall heard him and also freaked out. Just by showing itself, everyone knew the town was lost, there were no S-ranks in this town at the moment, at most a dozen A-rank, but they would not be able to handle this demon.

Just by showing itself, everyone knew the town was lost. The demon knew this, it loved to relish in the fear of his prey before killing them.

Just as everyone had lost hope, they heard an unfamiliar sound, and they all instinctively looked up. What they saw was a small ball of fire moving at incredible speed towards the demon and the horde of monsters. It crashed into the ground between the city and the monsters.

It left a crater around 10 square meters from where it landed. Smoke was coming out of it, everyone was confused and even the demon and monsters were confused. But they all widened their eyes when they saw a humanoid figure in the smoke. Once the smoke had vanished you could see a warrior standing there, White and Golden armor, a massive sledgehammer in one hand and a huge shield in the other. The only thing the humans could think of was 'God's Warrior'. God must have sent a warrior down to help them was what they thought.

The demon was also surprised to see a human coming from the sky, but it knew there were no gods in this world, so to test this warrior he sent his horde towards the warrior, to be on the safe side he sent the entire horde towards the city at once, to rid themselves of the warrior and the same time siege the city.

The humans watched as the entire horde started charging towards the warrior and was worried about him. When there were around 300 meters between the horde of monsters and the warrior he raised his hammer towards the sky and slammed it into the ground, creating small cracks.

Everyone was confused as it did nothing. But only a few seconds after they could see huge meteors coming from the sky and they slammed into the horde of monsters creating dozens of explosions killing thousands of the monsters in one go. The humans on the wall started cheering for the warrior, finally seeing hope, the morale of everyone in the town was at an all-time high.

The smoke cleared from the explosions and you could see that there were still thousands and thousands of monsters. Goblins, Orcs, Huge Spiders, Wolfs, Tigers, lions. Thousands of each and they continued their charge towards the warrior. The warrior took a stance and raised his hammer once again, but this time he didn't slam it into the ground he just held it there as a white light came from the hammer and beamed into the sky, seconds later a ray of light came from the sky and onto the monsters, incinerating every monster it touched, the warrior once again killed thousands.

The monsters started to feel fear now and were hesitating on what to do when the demon suddenly let out a fierce roar and 20 trolls came rushing out from the woods and towards the warrior.

Trolls were A class monsters. They were strong enough to smash a strong human to bits with its club, you had to be fast enough to dodge it or you would die. They were also tall, over 4 meters tall and had extremely high regeneration ability. You had to make sure to kill it quickly or it would regenerate instantly. Even it's stamina regenerated so you could not tire it out. 20 of these rushed towards the warrior.

The humans prepared to help him as mages finally came from the castle, they all prepared to fire, but they were still too far away to hit. The warrior had not moved an inch since he landed and was still at least 500 meters away from the city wall.

The warrior looked towards the trolls rushing in, the warrior walked slowly towards them and raised his shield and he rushed towards the trolls in an incredible speed, slamming its shield towards the first troll instantly crushing its knee, the troll fell down and died not even one second after as the warrior slammed his hammer on its head, destroying its head.

The second troll had already started swinging his club towards the warrior making all the humans worry, they all wanted him to dodge. But he took the blow with his shield and a small crater was formed under him, but he did not fall. Take a full blow from a troll and not even be fazed from it was incredible!

The warrior quickly slammed the hammer towards the troll's knee, instantly smashing it to bits, causing the troll to scream out in pain and fall down to the ground and lose its life like the first one, the hammer towards its head.

The warrior was around 10 meters away from 4 of the other trolls who were closest when he did a wipe sweep in the air, creating a wind blade of sorts that flew towards the heads of the trolls, decapitating 4 of them at once.

He then rushed towards the other trolls, when he got near them he slammed the ground and when he did a circle surrounded the trolls, the circle was around 20 square meters and it paralyzed them, the trolls who had started swinging could no longer finish their strike.

The warrior threw his shield at them, surprising the humans. Why would he throw his shield?? But what they saw was the shield slamming the head of the first troll, then continuing towards the next, it killed 7 trolls before it returned to the hand of the warrior.

The other trolls could still not move, The warrior raised his empty hand towards the sky and looked as if he grabbed something. Lightning came down from the heavens smiting the rest of the 6 trolls, destroying their hearts as it invaded their bodies.

All this happens within 20 seconds. All the humans dropped their jaws as they watched this unmatched hero fight against 20 trolls and killing them all within seconds. However, the demon was raging. He rushed towards the warrior.

The demon was over 3 meters tall, had spikes all over its body and an almost 2 meters long, sharp tail. He was equipped with two massive swords. He tried to behead the warrior but the warrior had already returned his sledgehammer in his right hand and blocked the strike with his shield, when he blocked you could hear a roar coming from the shield as it erupted fire and blasted the demons right arm into nothingness, the sword even smelted in the blast.

Before the demon even had time to react the warrior slammed the hammer towards its head instantly killing the archdemon. The demon's body started burning and within seconds the body was nothing but ash.

The rest of the monsters started panicking and ran away, some even ran towards the town but were killed by the mages and archers on the wall. Around 10 minutes after the death of the demon, most monsters had already run back into the forest. The warrior stood firm and turned towards the town and looked up on the wall, looking at all the humans standing there looking at him in awe.

"Open the gate!" The commander yelled. They could let their savior wait outside. He climbed down the wall to greet him.

The gate was opening and the warrior was only 100 meters away, the soldiers stood there and waited, all in awe of what they just saw and heard. Not everyone stood on the walls and the people on the walls started telling in detail everything that happened, so almost everyone in town already knew what had happened.

The commander quickly stood in front of all the soldiers to greet the holy warrior. Once the warrior was 5 meters away from the commander he took the time to greet him.

"Thank you, holy warrior, for your assistance, without sir's sudden appearance, this town would have been lost, so I thank you again, sir!" The command said as he did a deep bow to show his respect towards the warrior.

The warrior took his arms up and started removing his helmet, everyone was curious about what he looked like but were all surprised when they saw a beautiful woman behind the helmet.

"You're very welcome, but I'm not a 'sir'." She said in a soft and captivating voice and smiled towards the commander.

"I'm very sorry, ma'am!" The commander said and did another deep bow, hoping he didn't disrespect her.

"It's fine! I'm very hungry. Does this place have any good restaurants? I haven't eaten anything good in weeks!" She said and tried to look at the town, but hundreds if not thousands of soldiers blocked the sight for her.

The commander happily guided her towards the finest restaurant in town. On the way, you could see citizens looking at them walking in wonder. They all heard what had happened and they knew this woman was their savior.

She noticed a middle aged woman with a teenage daughter standing near a small inn, from the inn she could smell an amazing aroma coming from the building. She stopped and looked towards the inn.

"I'll eat here." She said and walked towards the inn.

The commander panicked a bit, he didn't want the holy warrior to taste some commoner's meal.

"Please, your holiness, the castle has the best cooks, you'll be satisfied there!" He said hurriedly.

"No thanks, I'm good here. You don't have to follow me inside." She said and kept walking towards the door to the inn. The mother and daughter rushed inside to tell their husband/father, who was the cook, to cook up the best thing he'd ever made. They can't let her be unsatisfied!

She saw them run inside and smiled a bit, a few seconds after she reached the door. She opened the wooden door and stepped inside. It was completely empty, but the smell was amazing. She quickly found a seat and waited for someone to take her order.

The area outside the inn was packed with people, everyone was curious to see her and some even wanted to share a meal with her, she was after all very beautiful. After sitting for almost one minute the daughter, who looked to be around 15 years old, scurried her way to her table.

"Ehm... Hi." The girl said, not sure what she was doing, she had grown up taking orders, why is she messing up now of all times!?

"Just take it easy, do you have a menu?" The woman asked the girl and smiled towards her.

"Ah! Yes, here!" She hurriedly gave the menu to the woman and looked at her like a hawk. The armor was shining, even when she'd just come out of a bloody battle the armor was spotless and shiny. The shield was huge and had a big angel on it.

The shield was on her right side beside the chair. Her eyes then went towards the huge hammer she used. It was dark, ebony, and it was actually burning at the edge. She was worried the floor would catch fire when she looked towards the woman. The woman just looked at her reaction and smiled.

"It's fine, it only burns my enemies. You can even touch the flame without burning your hand." She said and grabbed the hammer and showed it to her. Out of curiosity, she touched it and she did indeed not feel any pain, it wasn't even hot! Amazing!

The woman made her order, she ordered a lot of meat. The girl scurried back to the kitchen to give her father the order.

The woman was sitting in her chair and waiting for her first real meal in this new world. She was wondering what her goal would be here. Should she go after the demons? If demons acted like this then it won't be long before this world becomes like the one she was from. Well, one of the worlds...

A few hours had passed since she ate and she was now laying on a bed in the inn she ate in. She booked a room and went up to take some rest. She laid on the bed and looked up on the ceiling and was wondering what to do next. As she thought of what to do, she slowly drifted to sleep.
