CHAPTER: 4 "Companions"
After navigating through the building's hallway, I reached the room where I was going to meet my companions.
The door, it looked grand and beautifully carved with murals. Just like the future adventure I imagined I would experience. Excited about the new world I was about to enter, I opened the door and stepped inside, only to find...
"Bulbasaur," said a seemingly innocent 9-year-old girl while munching on honey popcorn, she sat on the table seemingly unaware of how furniture is used.
"Good taste, I like Bulbasaur too," replied a woman in her mid-twenties wearing a weirdly big pointed witch hat, reclining on a sofa. Her face looked emotionless completely in contrast to her excited voice.
"Indeed, it's all about Bulbasaur," said a delinquent-looking teen, rising from his chair like an average shounen protagonist raising his arm as if trying to start a new adventure of his own.
The woman in her mid-twenties noticing me greeted me lazily. "Oh! Hello there, hope you are a Bulbasaur fan too."
Witnessing this, I immediately shut the door and while crouching on the floor thought, what kind of world have I stepped into?
"Yoi, what are you doing hiding in such a weird position?" Blue said, sounding weirded out.

I turned my head to find a little boy standing behind Blue, staring at me. He looked like a shy type, a kid who got separated from his parents.
"Hello, little one. Are you lost? Are your parents...?" I stopped when I saw Blue shaking her head, realizing that everyone here was already dead.
"Oh! My parents, Aunty, have you seen them?" The boy asked with glittering eyes, though still hiding behind Blue. He looked innocent and cute, but to call me aunty. I'm only 18 years old.
"Hmm. No, sorry kiddo, I haven't seen them," I told him feeling a bit sad, standing up from my squatting position I was ready to open the doors again.
"So, Grey, are you lost or something?" Blue asked, hopping to my side. I controlled the urge to roll my eyes and replied with a calm front."No, I am not lost." I paused for a bit before asking her. "But who are those weirdos inside this room? And whose lost child is this?"
"Well, you'll find out soon. Just go and introduce yourself to your new friends while I find a place to keep this child." Blue said in a suspicious tone.
Is that child perhaps kidnapped? I pondered.
Before I could ask any further, Blue vanished with a poof, but this time taking the child with her. I sighed helplessly and braced myself to enter the room.
As I opened the door again, a soft creak filled the hallway.
I peeked inside, only to find the room empty. The honey popcorn bucket was half eaten on the table and the sofa covering was disheveled.
"Where did they vanish?" I questioned myself while entering the room.
CLOP!
The sound of shoes hitting the ground came from behind me. I turned my head, but found nothing.
"Bahhhhh!!!"
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" I screamed at the sudden sound from my side and instinctively punched the source of the sound with full force.
I opened my eyes a bit, only to see the delinquent-looking teenager in front of me, gasping for air, while writhing on the floor with a pained expression.
"Oh! It was just this kid, he almost scared me to death," I sighed in relief, turning my eyes I saw two figures approaching.
