Nex was thinking quietly, trying to organize his disarrayed mind. He pondered upon his recent experiences, and his untimely death.

The swirling darkness around him started to crumble as Nex was expectant on what will happen next.

Suddenly, a rush of color and noises disrupted his thoughts and his eyes were swirling as they tried to adjust to the sudden light. Nex tried to force his arm up to his eyes to discover a small arm helplessly waving around in front of him.

He tried to raise his head only to experience a large pain in his back, which only caused him to unconsciously wail. Nex, now snapped back to reality decided to investigate his surroundings.

With cautious eyes, Nex scanned the area around him. It seemed to be some sort of cave, with groans of pain around him. He looked back and trailed the hands holding him up to a woman who he assumed to be his a doctor.

‘Where am I?” Nex thought, he looked at his supposed mother, who was profusely sweating with a pale face. She seemed to be human, except for the soft red light coming out of her eyes, as well as the slightly pointed ears she had.

“Tch, a half-breed.” A large and powerful voice boomed to his right. Startled, Nex turned around as fast as him undeveloped body allowed him to.

The man had a strong body, almost meant for protecting someone, however the cruel glint in his eyes and the disappointment evident in his face gave Nex a sense of crisis.

“Throw him out with his mother.” The man barked to the guard-like people standing nearby. His mother widened her eyes in terror and screamed as the men pulled her into a dark corridor, before a sickening crack echoed around the room and an abrupt silence rang in everyone's ears.

Nex could not do anything and his body was shutting down, as he was just a newborn child. The last thing he saw was a hand slowly nearing his head.
