This is not the story of a hero. This is not the story of a villain. This is the story of a monster—a man who has lost everything.
In the far future, humanity has achieved everything, including a lifespan that approaches eternity. Technology has surpassed imagination, yet the true nature of people reveals itself through war. The Great War has been ongoing forever, fought between two factions: the Black and the White. One faction remembers nothing but war.
In the year 2000 B.W.E. (Before the War Ended), on May 17th, the most elite squad of the Black faction, known as the Death Platoon, had just completed a mission to destroy an enemy base in Italy. The squad consists of four members: the sniper Alex, the fighter Robert, the strategist Youn, and the captain.
No one anticipated what was about to unfold that day. A research facility in Asia, under the Black faction's control, attempted to create a weapon—a human weapon—that unleashed something catastrophic upon the world.
Captain:"Another mission completed."
Alex:"I wish something interesting would happen. This is too easy. I could destroy a base with just one shot."
Robert: "Yeah, well, you'll die trying to take on an army alone. You're so reckless."
Youn: "I agree."
Alex: "Come on, guys. Captain, say something."
Suddenly, an emergency message came from a facility in Russia, screaming the word "Black." Headquarters ordered the Death Platoon to investigate, as all connections to Asia had been lost.
Alex:"Why are we going to investigate? What a drag."
Robert:"All the soldiers have lost contact. Their last message was the same: 'Black.'"
Youn:"The Russian base was the most advanced and oldest research facility, probably nearly as old as the war itself. It lost contact with headquarters. Who or what could have caused this?"
Captain:"Whatever it is, we need to kill it."
Alex:"I'm sure whatever it is, we'll be done quicker than I can say 'Black Death.' Wait, when did they build a huge wall?"
Captain:"That's no wall. That's a mountain of bodies."
Alex: "What the hell did this?"
Youn:"All the soldiers in Asia. Everyone is dead. Everyone, even the White faction."
Robert:"We have come to hell."
Pilot: "We have reached the research center."

The team disembarked to find a man with black hair and black eyes sitting atop the corpses, soaked in black blood, with a broken sword of a soldier beside him.
Captain:"Black Death."
At that moment, Alex shot at him, screaming "Monster!" The man deflected the bullets and approached Alex, breaking his sniper rifle with his bare hands. Robert attempted to punch him, but the man caught his fist and smashed his hand.
Youn: "Run away, everyone! Run!Captain, "What are you doing?"
Captain:"I will kill you."
The captain drew his sword, and they began to fight. Their speed was so great that no one could see them clearly. The captain was barely holding his ground, almost losing an arm, a leg, and an eye. He struggled to keep up with the Black Death, who cut his sword in half and held his own sword near the captain's neck, pausing.
Captain:"Why did you stop?"
Black Death:"...Just kill me."
Captain: "Why do you want to die?"
Black Death:"I killed everyone. I thought if I die now, maybe it will be okay. Maybe I'll make up for it."
Captain:"You didn't want to be a monster. You were just made a monster."
Black Death:"Just kill me. I have no reason to be alive. Just do it."
Captain:"No. I want to be your friend. How about that? We can be friends—all of us."
Alex:"What the hell is he saying? Give me the gun; I'll shoot."
Robert: "We are in no position to do anything. Not like we can kill that thing anyway."
Youn:"What the hell is he thinking?"
Captain: "How about it? I'm the captain. How about I call you Black?"
Black Death:"Are you fucking stupid? You do know who I am, right? Or isn't it obvious? I'm a crazy fucking psychopath."
Captain:"You know what that means—you're smart."
Black Death:"Smarter than you. You're pathetic."
Captain:"You know me already, but that hurts."
Black Death:"You pathetic morons are going to regret this one day."
Captain:"My life is full of regrets, but not this one. Don't have any regrets in your life, my friend."
2000 years later, on May 16th, 1 B.W.E., the general of the Black faction visited the Death Platoon's camp.
The Black Death was sitting on a rock, sharpening his blade.
General:"Three hundred million soldiers of the White faction were wiped out. They had advanced weapons, flying ships, and tanks. They were all eliminated. The last thing they saw was black. But two hundred ninety million of our soldiers died as well. Black Death, you were warned not to do that again. Don't forget your plac..."
The general's head rolled on the ground as the Black Death continued sharpening his blade, wiping blood from it.
Captain: "You didn't have to kill him, Black."
Black Death:"Shut up. I fucking hate you. You want to fulfill your wish, but you're bound by your fucking sense of loyalty and lack of power. I hate you a lot. I am going to kill you."
Alex: "Forget that. Let us eat. You made food, right, Black?"
Black Death: "Yeah, shithead."
Alex:"Don't call me shithead, asshole!"
Robert:"They are arguing again."
Youn:"Black, where are you going?"
Black Death: "To check."
Youn: "Check what?"
Black Death: "I only killed three hundred million of the White. Who killed the other two hundred ninety million of the empire?"
Youn:"The White Moon did. You and he have killed more than ninety percent of the people in this war in merely two thousand years."
The battlefield bore a message etched into it that read, "Hi! Nice to meet you." A smile crept onto Black's face.
Black Death: "White Moon. Ha ha ha ha!"
In the White faction's headquarters, a woman with long black hair entered a room where a silver-haired, white-eyed man was seated.
Yen:"May I come in, sir?"
White Moon: "You may."
Yen:"Boss, the general called."
White Moon: "I am busy."
Yen: "An entire base was killed, with only one message etched into the battlefield: 'Hi! Nice to meet you too.'"
White Moon: "He replied."
Yen: "Sir, you're smiling."
White Moon: "Suppose I am."
Black Death:"Ha ha ha ha!"
