## The Black Night

**5000 Years After the Event**

No one alive today remembers the war or the monsters that emerged from it, but the fear still runs through their veins. While no one recalls him, his memories live on through the people he saved. At his memorial, the world's most famous individuals gather to honor their hero, including Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Marshmello, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos. The event is broadcast live.

The reporter speaks: "Today, we come to honor the hero who saved us all."

Blue watches the broadcast on a giant billboard when suddenly every screen in the world is hacked, displaying the image of a man in all black with a blindfold. The man speaks:

**S:** "So nice of you all to attend my funeral."

S emerges from the rooftop, blowing up the memorial. He welcomes everyone:

**S:** "Beautiful ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my memorial and to the Black Night."

Multiple military choppers attack him, but he destroys them in an instant.

**S:** "I know you're watching, Blue and Light. How are you?"

In Light's tower, Light panics:

**Light:** "Fuck, fuck, fuck. How is this possible?"

**Blue:** "We have to stop him."

In China, Lin informs Red:

**Lin:** "Sir, there's something you need to see."

**Red:** "Did you find them?"

**Lin:** "It's him. He's alive."

**Red:** "What?"

Red, Blue, and Light arrive at the company tower. Red grabs Light, ready to kill him.

**Red:** "I'm going to kill you."

**Light:** "Kill me if you want, but we need to stop him. If he's not stopped, everything we built will be gone."

**Red:** "Why should I stop him?"

**Light:** "Do you want innocent people to die?"

**Red:** "That doesn't stop me from ripping you apart."

**Blue:** "You can't stop him alone."

Red nearly kills them both.

**Red:** "I'll kill you pieces of trash later. I need to save my friend."

Red goes to his tower to find S sitting on the throne, wearing a blindfold.

**S:** "I see you kept my jacket. The one you gave me for my birthday."

**Red:** "Why are you doing this? An unmeasurable number of people will die. Just why?"

**S:** "Why? You're asking me why. I lost everything. Everyone I love, everyone I saved, is gone. And you're asking me why?"

**Red:** "I know your pain, but I'm still here. I'm still your best friend."

**S:** "You know we both wear masks. We both try to forget, try to hide what we are. But deep down, we both know we'll always be monsters. You and I both lost the person we loved, but the difference is you're better, you're stronger."

S opens his blindfold and looks at Red.

**Red:** "I don't want to fight you."

**S:** "Come on. We both know that's a lie. The moment you met me, you were waiting for this. The world's greatest killer vs. the world's greatest psychopath."

Outside the building, the question arises: Who will win?

Inside Red's building, S speaks:

**S:** "You won't lose, and I won't die, so let's see who wins."

Red and S begin fighting, destroying everything in their vicinity. Red catches S's katana with his bare hands, but S also catches Red's crimson sword.

**S:** "Don't think you're the only one who can do that trick."

The ceiling collapses as they fight. S approaches Red.

**S:** "I won't stop you if you kill me because unless you kill me, I won't stop you."

Red is about to cut S's neck but stops and drops his weapon. S gives Red a name tag as a gift.

**S:** "Here, take it as my gift."

**Red:** "I'm sorry I couldn't save her. I couldn't save you."

**S:** "You have nothing to apologize for. I will not touch anything you love. That is my promise."

Red sees the red watch he gave S as a gift. S takes his jacket and leaves.

At the company tower, Light panics:

**Light:** "I have to do something. Send everyone now."

A call comes to Light from A.

**A:** "How have you been? You didn't forget me, did you?"

**Light:** "Are you insane? What are you two doing?"

**A:** "I'm his head of management. Remember, I have to make sure nothing comes in the King of Kings' way."

An stands on top of thousands of corpses.

**A:** "If you go out of the tower, you're dead. How does it feels to be at the other end?"

Light smashes the phone.

Blue confronts S on the rooftop of White's tower.

**Blue:** "I'll stop you."

Blue puts his blade through S's heart.

**S:** "Was that supposed to do something?"

S breaks the blade into thousands of pieces. An explosion shakes the world, and the night turns dark with the white moon. Heavy rain pours, made by S to disable healing from the nanites. The King of the Dark Night and White Moon, S and Blue fight. Blue uses his power, breaking reality with every step. S fights with equal speed, destroying everything in their way.

A stands on a construction crane.

**A:** "Who's going to win? Who should I bet on?"

A flips a coin but lets it fall.

**A:** "On second thought, I should give up gambling. This is my final gamble. I should bet on my own."

S uses his power, the Reality Mirrors, the most powerful weapon in the world and the essence of the project. Blue shatters it but gets overwhelmed and nearly dies. S decides to fight one-on-one without powers. S and Blue clash with their swords. Blue's blade is cut in two and thrown into the sky. S pierces Blue's heart but heals him with nanites.

**Blue:** "Why are you saving me?"

**S:** "You know it didn't hurt when my wife died, when everyone who knew me died. It hurt much more that it was you who killed them and killed me. Congratulations, you killed S. Now I want you to remember that you are responsible for all of this. You will live as the King of Kings."

S calls Light.

**S:** "You remember my name. You know, out of everyone, I couldn't figure you out, but now I know what you are. You're a soulless mind. You know why you failed? Because you have no emotions. That's why you lost. I'll be taking 6% of your shares of the company and 5% of Blue's shares as an apology. Of course, with my shares."

**Light:** "I don't know about emotions, but right now, I want to kill you with my bare hands."

In White's tower, S sits on his throne. A squad team known as Code, the makers of law, order, and the enforcers, appears and bows to S. The leader, Q, stands by him, with choppers guarding outside. S is the ruler of the world.

S laughs as tears fill his eyes in the heavy rain pouring from the sky.
