Chaper 4. Academy

Chaper 4. Academy

Eight years had passed since Elliot had first arrived at his house, and a fluid system had been set in stone. First, Elliot would wake up and an automated system would carry him around his room, brushing his teeth, make him go to the bathroom, and make him shower. Once done, the system would take him to his family's dining area, in which he would eat mushed up foods such as carrots, potatoes, or chicken. During this mealtime, Elliot would not share a word with his family as they talked about the last show his little sister preformed in, or how proud they are of her. And while Elliot would sit silently eating his mush, he would mostly think about how long it had been since his parents had talked to him. Once breakfast was done, Elliot would be taken outside of his house, and then given to his caretaker, who took him too his school.

At Elliots school, he would follow a strict schedule as his caretaker would roll him where he needed to go when he needed to go. First, when Elliot arrived at his school, he would be taken to his first class, where they dumped people with mental disabilities. Here, he would be given his lessons. The criteria that his class was given was the same as every other class of his grade, although it was watered down to the extreme. While other classes would learn sentences of different languages, he would be given the first syllable. This irritated Elliot to the extreme, because he knew that he was not getting the education he needed to live by himself. After half of the school day had ended, the lunch bed would ring and Elliot would be pushed around the halls to his classes private lunchroom, which was just a room with plastic tables and hardwood floors. On occasion, Elliot would get a glance of his old best friend Erin. He had not talked with Erin in the last 6 years, as she left him for other friends, now, she acted like she didnt even know Elliot, which he could understand, but it hurt him. Once Lunch was done, back to class, and when class was done. He would be taken back to his house by his caretaker, and placed in his room. Occasionally, while in his room, Elliot would be visited by his little sister, who would talk about her day and vent to him about all her frustrations. she was the only person who saw him as someone who could think for himself. Once this was done, the automated system would act up again, and do what it did in the morning, although this time he would be put into his bed. Then rinse and repeat for the day after, and the day after.
