A vast and immeasurable land of nothingness. White. That was the only word that came to mind. A never-ending white from the ground to the air to the horizon. She looked around but found no one. She tried to find her hands and legs but saw nothing but white. Gasp but no sound was heard. Formless. Shapeless. Indeterminate. A spiritual entity with a floating consciousness. A plain observer in the quiet white cosmos.

Before she even had time to think, colossal black writings began to mark their omnipotent presence. As the incomprehensible black writings defaced the untainted white sky, invisible strings from within her expanded horizontally into the horizon to unseen territories. All except one. A single string pierced vertically upwards through the white spaces between the astronomical black writings and vanished.
Could she see it? No, but she knew it was there as an unexplained wave of bitter sorrow struck her heart.
