Eli Shan ruled the school, and no one dared to challenge him. Whenever students spotted him in the corridor, they stood silently at the side, their heads down, not uttering a single word.
Eli Shan didn't hate this life, but he was well aware that it was his strength that earned him such reverence.
If he wished to continue being treated this way, he knew he must consistently maintain his strength.
And even though he seemed content, deep down, he was bored. He loved a good fight, but ever since he became the king, nobody dared to challenge him. And he didn't want to pick on the weaker ones either.
As the days went like this, eventually, he stopped attending classes altogether. His days were spent in cultivation, and long stretches of sleep inside his room.
Six months later...
Early one morning, while Eli Shan was immersed in his cultivation, a series of knocks echoed through his room.
He halted his cultivation and made his way to the door. As it swung open, his eyes met with the sight of a beautiful girl standing before him. Looking at her, Eli Shan teased, "It seems you'd rather spend your day with me than attend your class today, huh?"
Feng Qiang playfully punched his chest. "Shut up. Today, you're coming to class too."
Eli Shan asked in surprise, "Why? Is there something special happening today?"
Feng Qiang grinned mysteriously. "You usually don't attend classes, so you wouldn't know it. But in these final six months before our graduation, the headmaster himself will personally teach us!"
Eli Shan's eyes widened in astonishment. "Is that so? Are you sure?"
Eli Shan had never seen the headmaster before. To him, the headmaster was a mysterious and strongest person in the city. Even more so than the city lord himself! So of course he was quite excited at the news.
Feng Qiang nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "Everyone knows about it, except you!"
Eli Shan smiled silly, scratching the back of his head. "Just give me a moment, I'll go change my clothes."
He disappeared into his room briefly, re-emerging in a full-length black robe. With a nod to Feng Qiang, he said, "Let's go."
Together, they soared from his mountain peak, swiftly traversing the rugged terrain until they arrived at the imposing structure where their classes were held.
They landed gracefully at the entrance and entered the corridor. As Eli Shan walked in, unlike normal times, an eerie silence fell upon the atmosphere. Not a single person dared to utter a word.
Continuing his path, everyone instinctively stood aside, their heads bowed. Ignoring them, Eli Shan entered his classroom.
There, he sat with Feng Qiang on the last bench, waiting for class to start.
After a while, his head hung low, his eyes reflecting a clear sense of boredom.
Even though he was filled with the anticipation to meet with the headmaster, he knew that both of them were at the zun realm, it's just that the headmaster was at the peak of the realm while he was not.
In the world of cultivation, every single minor realm made a big difference that some people could never cross even in their whole life. But for Eli Shan, who had a cultivation technique given by the dragon and coupled with his body that was many times stronger than even his realm, he felt that he could easily fight against someone who was at the peak of the Zun realm.
So after thinking about it, all of Eli Shan's initial excitement dissipated, leaving him once again feeling bored.
After waiting for a while, the moment to begin the class finally arrived, and Mu Fan entered the classroom. Glancing around, he noticed that Eli Shan was present today, though he was dozing off at his desk. Mu Fan couldn't help but let out a sigh, "He is again sleeping today, but from today on, the headmaster will teach him a good lesson if he doesn't turn the things around."
Deep in thought, he strode purposefully towards the students, and issued a firm command, "Everyone, on your feet! The headmaster is entering the class!"

Upon hearing Mu Fan's announcement, everyone's attention shifted towards the entrance. From where an old man made his way into the classroom with a deliberate pace. At first glance, he seemed like any other old man. Yet, the unmistakable air of invincibility he exuded left everyone in a state of awe.
Everyone stood up one after another, their expression filled with respect. They couldn't help but bow in reverence.
The headmaster simply nodded, wearing a kind smile.
Feng Qiang, too, rose from her seat and bowed while gently pushing the sleeping Eli Shan with her palm. She whispered urgently, "Hey hey, stand up! The headmaster's here. Stand up fast!"
However, Eli Shan kept his head resting on the table and didn't wake up.
The headmaster noticed it but he chose not to address it. Instead, he turned his attention to the rest of the students and declared, "Starting today, I will be your personal instructor until your graduation. So prepare yourselves to work diligently from now on."
Everyone shouted in unison, their voice full of enthusiasm, "Yes, teacher."
The headmaster nodded and then cast a glance towards Eli Shan. "Alright then, everyone, let's head to the practice field." With that, he vanished into thin air.
The rest of the students promptly prepared to head to the practice field.
Eli Shan, who had been dozing off, opened his one eye a bit and looked ahead excitedly. "That old man is strong!" he whispered.
Feng Qiang didn't know that Eli Shan was awake and again pushed him with her palm. "Hey, hey! Get up, the headmaster is summoning us to the practice field."
Suddenly, Eli Shan stood up, taking Feng Qiang by surprise. His eyes gleamed with an excitement that Feng Qiang hadn't witnessed in quite some time.
In a hushed tone, he murmured, "Come, wind." With a swift motion, he vanished from the classroom, reappearing on the practice field in the blink of an eye.
The practice field was situated on one of the mountains. It was enclosed by a protective barrier, providing students with safety as long as their lives weren't instantly at risk.
Eli Shan landed on the field, his eyes sparkling as he looked at the headmaster.
Very soon, everyone also appeared on the practice field one after another.
The headmaster looked around at the assembled students and grinned. "Seems like someone is getting a little bored with his life and wants a sparring match with me, am I right?"
"Huh?"
"What's the headmaster talking about?"
"Somebody wants to challenge the headmaster?"
Startled, everyone took an instinctive step backward.
Except for Eli Shan!
He looked at the headmaster with luster in his eyes as if he would not let him go no matter what. "Is it really that obvious, headmaster?"
"It's more than obvious. Your fighting spirit has been condensing above your head which even a blind man can clearly see."
When other students heard the headmaster, they looked at Eli Shan's head but could not see anything.
"?.?"
The headmaster stretched out his hand towards Eli Shan, gesturing with a beckoning motion for him to step forward and strike.
Eli Shan's smile took on a sinister edge. He couldn't control himself any longer and disappeared from his place, just to appear right in front of the headmaster in the next instant. He clenched his fist tightly, throwing a powerful punch strong enough to shatter the earth.
Gasp!
Gasps filled the air as everyone's eyes widened in shock.
They knew Eli Shan was strong, but to think that he was so strong that just the pressure of his fist alone, nearly forced them to their knees?
But before they could come out of their shock, everyone witnessed the headmaster blocking Eli Shan's punch with his arms crossed, but still got pushback.
Everyone's eyes again widened in shock.
"He really pushed back the headmaster, the strongest person in the city!"
"The king is really something."
As the headmaster blocked his punch, an excited smile appeared on his face.
Eli Shan also smiled like a maniac as he relentlessly threw punches at the headmaster with astonishing speed.
Feeling the force of every punch, the headmaster looked at Eli Shan with a brightened smile and remarked, "Looks like I have to get serious to fight against you."
Suddenly, the headmaster's aura increased as he extended his hand towards the incoming punch, stopping Eli Shan's fist from his palm.
But Eli Shan didn't stop and pressed on without hesitation. He swiftly invoked the wind intent, which began to spiral around him, cutting through the headmaster's wrist and body.
But the headmaster had also experienced many battles, so he also didn't back down and used his sword intent which enveloped him and cut through Eli Shan's wind intent.
Upon witnessing the headmaster's formidable sword intent, Eli Shan's eyes gleamed even brighter and his aura surged to its peak.
Looking at Eli Shan's aura, the headmaster's eyes widened in astonishment. "I heard that you were a cultivator of the Zun realm, but to think that you've already reached the sixth stage. Not bad, kid, but you still have a long way to go before you catch up to me."
The headmaster's aura surged, reaching the pinnacle of the Zun realm, and coupled with his sword aura he appeared akin to a deity of the sword.
Feeling the power of the headmaster's peak realm, Eli Shan's eyes gleamed even brighter. He also didn't back down and also used his sword intent to fight against the headmaster's sword intent.
The headmaster's expression once again turned into shock. "You are truly full of surprises. To think that you've already grasped the essence of sword intent. However, even though your sword intent is good, but it still needs to be refined further."
With that, rather than engaging in a direct physical confrontation, they began to battle through their sword intents.
In the eyes of everyone present, it was already a remarkable feat that Eli Shan could hold his own against the headmaster. But what left them even more astounded was that he wasn't far behind, and seemed to be growing stronger with every passing moment.
None of them could move their gaze away from the astonishing battle unfolding before them, fearing that they would miss even a single moment.
