As the dungeon side was still unable to be built on the next day, Veronica was forced to work on other things once more. Considering the way Seraphina kept reminding her that she didn't need to rush through things too much, she supposed it was a good thing to be forced to take a break. Still, she didn't like having her life held over her head nor her freedom to do as she pleased limited in such a way.
Besides which, she had yet to set the theme for any of her rooms besides the one challenge room. She wasn't sure that would be changing anytime soon either with an entire 300 DP required to both set the room's theme and lock the door. It just wasn't worth spending 150 DP on it for anything but a challenge room, even if tributes were continuing to pour in at a steady rate. At least, that had been the case before today. Thus far, she had only received 5 DP from two parties this morning plus an additional 50 DP from room rentals the night before. Veronica had to wonder if that was related to the number of adventurers stuck inside her challenge room, but couldn't really say for sure.
Well, at least she still had goals she could work on for the inn side of things. The 18-Units by 18-Units rooms now had bathrooms, but there wasn't any general bathroom access for the others who might venture into her dungeon. Hopefully, that would help sell the adventurers on the idea of renting a room for the night as well. It wasn't like she could just magically make things clean and tidy anyway and she didn't want to be putting in all the work for nothing.
Veronica was happy that she had managed to rent out rooms more than a dozen times now, but she didn't love having to do the cleaning each morning. Well, that might be a generous way of describing it considering she didn't have any actual cleaning supplies. It was more like she was straightening up as she made the beds and carried trash out into the hallway so it could be absorbed by the dungeon. She was really starting to miss having a housekeeping cart like the one at her parent's bed and breakfast, that would have made this whole process so much easier!
The problem was that she only had 1,007 DP right now and she wasn't actually certain how to make a rolling cart. Her best bet was honestly going to be sending Seraphina out with some crudely drawn blueprints and a description of what she wanted and hoping a local craftsman could make something similar. Even if the dungeon could recreate this world's technology and they might have carts of some kind, she rather doubted they'd have actual housekeeping carts. Still, it couldn't be too difficult for an artisan with knowledge of making something similar to adapt the idea to fit her request.

Shaking her head, she walked into the room across the hallway from one of her large inn rooms. She had to spend 58 DP to research 11-Units by 18-Units rooms and had already made four of them. She planned to make two of them into public restrooms and bathhouse areas so she could tell the system to only allow those of the designated gender to enter them. Veronica wasn't sure if this world was even the same as the modern world, even without getting into gender politics. With animal people, it was very possible that there could be those who were neither female nor male. Still, it wasn't like there was a perfect solution, so anyone else would just have to settle for a private bathroom in one of her large inn suites. It wasn't like 50 leaves, marbles, or whatever they wanted to pay with was that expensive for the accommodations anyway.
Thanks to her previous work, there wasn't much need to research anything for her current project. It was pretty much just spending mana as she created private toilet stalls, sinks, towel racks, luxury towels, and a line of potted peace lilies to create a visual barrier, of sorts, down the middle of the room. As for the baths themselves, that was more complicated and ended up taking a few hours of experimenting before Veronica stumbled upon a surprising solution.
Since a basic magic bath cost her entire mana capacity of 50 MP, she couldn't afford to create anything like a heated sauna bath or anything like that. It would end up being more expensive and, thus, a waste of dungeon points to research it. However, she ended up discovering that [Items] could be shrunk and enlarged for an additional cost of mana and dungeon points. Shrinking cost the initial cost plus ten percent of that in mana, which could be paid for separately. As for enlarging, which is what she needed here, that cost the initial cost twice over plus 10% of that in dungeon points, but could also be paid for separately. It was a pain to wait for her mana to refill enough to make the hole to place the giant bathtub and then the tub itself for two different rooms, but it wasn't like she actually had anything better to do anyhow.
Veronica had to admit, though, it was rather comical looking at the giant bathtub in the ground. There was still a drain and a faucet in the same place one would find it on a normal tub, but it was enlarged as much as the rest of it. There was also still no hot water, which was unfortunate, to say the least. However, she had to admit it would be nice to be able to drain and refill the tub, as necessary, instead of having to do so via the dungeon's system, which she couldn't rely on always having access to.
Speaking of which, it would seem she had finished just in time for people to wander in and cut off her access. Veronica sighed heavily as she contemplated what to do with the rest of the day. She certainly wouldn't be able to build anything else, but maybe she could convince Seraphina to give her some extra martial arts training.
