[ Four years later ]

After that day, I blurrily remembered leaving the slave house, the entire place was filled with the unmistakable tangy smell of blood, while the walls were decorated in red. 

But despite all that, all I could think of was relief.

It was a beauty indeed, but her chest was nothing but disappointing.

Hah, you are so much but where does those calories go? It didn't go to either your brain or your chest. 

"Ah!" My head was suddenly hit.

"Were you thinking of something rude?"

Ah, really, do they have the ability to read minds? It's been four years but no one ever told me. 

Sitting up, she reached her hands to the ceiling and stretched, yawning the bits of sleepiness away as she did. 

"It's a big day today, how troublesome." She muttered with a snort. 

Today was the day of the magic aptitude test, afterwards it would be academy scouting.

Without waiting for my reply, she left the room and headed downstairs, where Nathan was already eating. 

He had woken up early to exercise, while Naomi who had burnt the midnight oil reading and messed up my sleeping schedule, woke up only at 9am.

Well, sleeping is nice too~

"Come and eat. " He called out while my own brother was already feasting on his meal.

"Can I have a choice?" If possible, I'll stay away from the academy crawling with royalty. 

The junior academy was better, since there serious barriers between each age group, everyone of the same age learned the same thing, no matter how intelligent you were. 

But in the Magic, Knight, Merchant academies, it was just scary. 

Because it was up to you to go to any class as you wish, if you were smart enough, you could take as many classes as you wished. 

Of course, that was everyone's goal, because at the age of eighteen, one would be kicked out no matter what. Therefore, everyone madly chose classes to attend, the seniors would finish a class and jump to another one filled with juniors. 

It was completely chaotic. 

And to think.......if THAT prince were to come to Naomi's class, where I will be, I'll cry. 

I'll seriously cry.

"What choice?"

"Of staying and guarding our home~"

"No. You stay with me at all times." She glared, finishing the last bit of her breakfast. 

"NNNNNNNN." I grumbled before shoving more food into my mouth, I was the only one who hadn't finished eating.

"Oh look at the time," I pointed at the clock, "It's time to go~" Pulling my robe together, I stood up with my tail standing as proudly. 

Looking up at the taller Naomi, I gave a big smile before running first to the door. 

I may have to meet THAT guy, and I may have to attend lessons, but I can learn magic~

The resting grounds were not very far, since the Magic academy was very important to this country, it was built near the core of the country, near to the castle and the royal residences. In correspondence, the testing ground were close as well. 

Shockingly, the testing grounds actually belonged to the Knight academy, used as a training field for the children. Today, the knight academy students were all released for the holidays, so to avoid any problems with the sudden flow of children. 

The testing ground would be used again next week for the Knight Academy admission testing, where a round Robin competition would be held to test the abilities of every candidate. 

I imagine, if I were in that competition, paired against someone like Nathan, I would probably just curl up and die.

And it was terrifying. 

The entire place was overrun by children, demonic little children.....!

The testing ground was split into two, one for the commoners and one for the nobles. 

Though it seemed like preferential treatment, it was for a good reason, apparently. 

Since the middle and lower tiered residences greatly overwhelm the nobles in number, their children population was terrifying. 

If a bunch of spoilt nobles were thrown in a long queue with commoners, it would be chaos.

Walking over to the super premium line, I completely forgot my previous grumblings and looked as Nathan was the first one to offer himself. 

Next to the table where the big chested lady was seated, was a tall pillar made of some kind of white marble, it's surface so shiny I could see my own reflection. 

The pillar was marked with protruding fine lines to separate seven parts. Apparently, the seven colours were the colours of a rainbow, without red being the weakest potential and violet being the best. 

Placing his hand on the pillar, he stared at it in interest. 

From the very bottom, instantly appeared a red colour, and as it moved upwards, it changed to orange, then yellow at an astonishing speed, but from then onwards, it gradually became slower as it became green, when it became blue it's speed was 1/10 of its beginning speed but before the light could cross the threshold of the next line, it stopped just shy of it.

Ohohohohoho, not so cheat after all. If you were the main character, the light probably would shoot out from the pillar, breaking it into little pieces in an overly showy manner. 

Ohohohohoho.

Turning, he walked to the table and stared at the translucent orb, without speaking, he placed his hand onto it. 

And shockingly, it turned pale red! 

This........!  

I have no idea what it is. 

"Ah, physical enhancement magic." the lady called out in surprise, as if looking at a monster. 

"What does that do?" I asked Naomi, who stood next to me.

"Can't you tell by the name? " She looked at me with squinted eyes, as if asking if I were an idiot. 

"But, why does the lady look surprised?" 

"It's rare and powerful, that attribute allows someone to channel their magic to their body to raise both defense and offence, with sufficient magic power, they can become monsters."

Ah. 

"Can they channel their magic to their fist?!" I asked with sparkling eyes. 

A bit taken back, she hesitated, "Why?"

Turning to Nathan who was already walking our way, I ran over and grabbed his hands, "Please learn magic well!"

"Huh?"

"Don't go bald!"

"..."

But before I could take a step forwards, Naomi was already there, with her hand on the orb. 

Even though Nathan did the pillar first, there was no exact sequence. 

With slightly furrowed brows, she took a deep breath as a light shone from the orb brightly. 

It was a mix of silver, green, brown and red. 

"Ah, the four elements."

Avatar!? Is that you!? Is that a glowing arrow I see!? 

........it seems unfortunate, but both twins will be going bald.
