CHAPTER 15: INSTALLIA

Kaito and Haruto entered Installia and as soon as they walked some steps, the system's screen appeared before them and it stated, "[You have entered a residence of humans. To not make suspicion about your appearance you will be changed to your avatar of this world]".

Huh, other appearance? Oh yeah, I remember, when I first entered this world my body was a little different than what it is normally like. I really forgot I had a different body in Gorgoria because I had been only seeing players. thought Kaito.

"Kaito what is this thing about changing bodies into this world's avatar" said Haruto surprised since this was his first time knowing about players having different bodies in this world.

Kaito explained about what the system meant as he was excited to see both his and Haruto's avatar since, he hadn't really paid attention to his changed body the first time because of the quest and because it would have been his first time seeing Haruto's avatar and moments later, a light came from beneath their feet's and went up to their head. They looked at each other and then looked at their bodies. Kaito looked like a teenager about 15 years old and had purple hair with green eyes while Haruto seemed to be a young man in his 20's with a big scar on his face and he had blonde hair and brown eyes. Kaito was a little jealous about Haruto looking older than him and because he was also good looking compared to his avatar but he thought that it was because his body was still a child's body.

As those two were checking out each others appearance Kaito thought, Wait, the quest hasn't ended yet but it seems that the system counted Haruto as a player. Is it a mistake or is the system doing it on purpose?. As Kaito thought about it, the system appeared once again and it had the answer. It read, "[Since trainee Haruto is under player Kaito's wing, he has been given an avatar that will last 24 hours with a cooldown of 6 hours until the quest ends and when the quest ends, the avatar won't have a time limit]".

They both looked at each other and thought that Haruto shouldn't be seen with his original body so, they decided to make him go out of the city every 24 hours and make him hunt or do some other things. As so they entered into the city once again and they were excited to meet other people from this world.

As they were walking inside the kingdom, they realized it was a very big and lively one. Kaito thought that there wouldn't be as much people as there are here but, he understood why a few moments later as a person who looked like a guard approached him and glared at him and said, "Hey kid, what are you doing here, shouldn't you be at school, especially since the Empire and Kingdom will be having a joint event, shouldn't you be trying to be chosen as a representative?".

Kaito didn't know what to answer to the guard but he said, "Oh, I'm not from the Kingdom so I don't really go to school here".

"Oh, is that so? Then you must be one of the representatives of the Empire."

"No it's not that either, I'm just here because the Seraphim guild invited me" replied Kaito

"The Seraphim guild!? The biggest adventurer guild right now invited you here but you are just a kid, I bet you are not even an adventurer, are you? If you are, shoe me your adventurer license." said the guard shocked by what Kaito said and wondering if it's true or not.

Kaito didn't know what an adventurer license was and he didn't have one as well and he panicked as he remembered that no one will believe him in this body of a 15 year old. Haruto who was staying still but was listening to the conversation decided to help Kaito and said, "Sorry about the kid, he likes to run off his mouth everywhere about being associated with the Seraphim guild and we don't have our license right now because we lost it fighting monsters and we are here...uhm...to renew it" this was the best he could do to make it believable

Kaito who had understood Haruto's idea pouted and said, "Why did you have to tell him the truth big brother". The guard seemed to believe the lie that was made by those two and stopped asking questions and let them go.

Some time later and after some exploring they finally found the guild they were looking for and they entered. They were amazed by the different appearance of the guild compared to the other buildings they had seen , it was a 3 floored building but it extended back a lot, it looked more civilized and fancier. It also had some dining tables and there was a some kind of big board where a lot of people were gathered.

They went to the counter and there was a woman with what seemed to be cat ears. Even though they Kaito and Haruto passed through a lot of people with the same ears as her, this was the first time they noticed that there weren't only humans in this Kingdom and that made them think that there are other species which aren't neither monsters nor humans.

The women was organizing somethings and when she saw those two she came up and said, "Hello, I'm Mili. I haven't seen you around before, are you trying to be an adventurer? If so, you have come to the right place" in a very fast and childish manner.

Kaito looked at Haruto and then back to Mili and said, "Hey Mili,... uhm..., we are not here to register to be adventurers, we are actually looking for someone from this guild. Do you happen to know either, Isabella or Alex". As Mili heard those words her eyes changed and she looked serious.

"Oh are you one of the friends of Big sister that she told me about, what's your name?" she said

"Oh yeah, you could say that. I'm Kaito and this is Haruto and we came here per the invitation of Isabella and Alex" replied Kaito while thinking, Big sister? Is she referring to Isabella? What could their relation be?

"Ok then, follow me" she said and started walking away and those two followed her.

They arrived at a room and there were 3 people sitting there, Kaito couldn't recognize them but as he was about to ask who they were, one of the people seated asked Mili , "Mili who are these people?". Kaito recognized the voice, it was Isabella's but, as he wasn't sure about it and as he was also feeling pressure coming from the 3, he didn't ask.

"They are people claiming to be your friends Big sister, he said his name was Kaito" replied Mili. As they heard that, Kaito could feel the pressure decreasing and the one that asked Mili turned to Kaito and asked, "Are you really Kaito? If you are what is your job and why are you a kid?"

Kaito thought it was a silly question but answered either way, "I am a ha--programmer and well this is my avatar of this world" he was about to tell them his undercover identity but managed to stop from saying it. The others believed him and invited him to sit with them. The one's present there were, Aya, Alex and of course Isabella but, they were also in their avatars and the avatars didn't disappear even though they were all players and Alex explained that it was because they were in a human area and the systems effect doesn't show them their real bodies

Kaito introduced them to Haruto and explained why they were here and after listening to him, "Well if thats the case, you have come at the right time because starting tomorrow for a week is the week of inter union of the empire and the kingdom and its a pretty big deal and there is also some kind of competition of students from the two places and because of that we 3 decided to stay the week here and enjoy the festival, you two are welcome to join us if you would like"

Kaito liked the idea and because both him and Haruto had nothing to do for a week in the real world, they decided to stay.
