Jason hurtled through the forest, using his keen senses to listen out for where ever the commotion is.
He knew the general direction from the first two screams but he didn't know if the fight/slaughter had moved somewhere else after the initial screams. Jason was right to listen out as sounds of fighting made him change his course as he was running.
Despite his current speed being incredibly fast, Jason didn't feel out of breath or worn out and even felt that he could go faster if he really pushed himself. Not that he was going to now, he wanted the gift from Job but he didn't want it that badly.
Nevertheless, Jason's current speed was fast enough and he soon arrived where the commotion was happening.
Two people stood, surrounded by 12 roaches, all of them the smaller, more intelligent kind with wings hidden in their backs. 3 roach corpses were laying not too far from the surrounded pair.
One of the people was a black-haired, black-eyed, petite girl. She looked pale but other than that, surprisingly calm despite the scream she let out earlier. She was wearing a slightly ripped high school uniform for Girls in the west, her blazer having a few tears here and there.
The man, or better called a boy, had the same school uniform on as the girl and quite frankly looked exactly like her. The only tell that he was a boy was his short hair, slightly manly features and the male uniform he was wearing. Unlike his twin, the boy looked terrified and even seemed to be cowering behind his sister.
'Great, I get twins and one of them seems like a weakling.'
Jason jumped up onto a tree's branch and stood on it with his knees brought up to his chest putting him into a position to jump into the fray at any given moment.
But for now, he wanted to figure out the powers of the two. Looking at the corpses of the 3 roaches, Jason instantly saw that they seemed to be crushed into the ground and one even had smooth holes going through its chest and head.
The woman raised her hand a summoned an arrow of water in front of her. This instantly got Jason's full attention.
'She knows how to use Mental Energy! She can teach me how to as well. At least she's got some use.'
Jason prepared himself even further as he flexed and tensed up his legs muscles, to dive to her rescue if she needed it. But it turns out that sentiment wasn't needed currently. The girl flicked her hand toward one of the roaches that took of. She didn't do it with amazing speed but as if she knew that specific roach would run at them.
The water arrow rotated in mid-air, picking up enough speed so it didn't look like an arrow anymore and more like a spinning cone. The arrow/cone of water acted as a high-pressure water jet and flashed through the bugs chest.
To Jason's surprise, the arrow turned back around and pierced the carapace again and then again, until finally, the roach fell over twitching. Jason was dumbfounded with her control over her powers.
'But that's a good thing, I need strong people for my team.'
Sadly, that one display of power seemed to completely drain her of power, blood dripping from her nose.
The girl looked at the boy cowering behind her with desperate fear in her eyes. Not for him to get involved, quite the opposite, in fact, her eyes screamed for him to run. Jason felt it was time to step in, he might be a prick but he didn't want to upset this girl for some reason.

Flexing his muscles further, Jason practically teleported next to the twins.
Both of them were quite short with the girl being 166cm tall and the boy only being a bit taller at 168cm. So it was sure to say that they were intimidated by the roaches' 2m tall frames.
But when Jason appeared in front of them, even though he was shorter than the roaches, every cell in their body demanded that they cower in front of him. If it weren't for the reassuring smirk on his face, they probably would have.
"Sit tight you two, I'll sort this out for ya. But remember, you owe me." Jason's voice was full of mirth as he looked at the surprised pair looking up at him.
Chuckling, Jason turned around and cracked his neck.
'Let's see how quickly I can do this~'
Jason pumped himself with the liquid from the Mosaic Organ before he shot off, feeling like he'd been injected with multiple doses of adrenaline. He appeared in front of the first of the last 11 roaches and punched out.
His fist blasted the roach's chest out it's back and the bug flew backward into the trees. Using his momentum, Jason carried on to the next terraformar. The terraformar saw his charging at it and threw it's fist out to intercept his charge.
Jason snorted in disdain and ducked under the fist before grabbing the arm it was attached to and ripping it from the bug's body and finishing off the bug with a lightning fast kick which bisected it at its midsection.
Still holding the arm of his latest victim, Jason turned to the other bugs and let a feral grin spread across his face. He could've sworn he saw the roaches flinch.
POV Change - Beth
( Author Note - One of the twins, in case you were wondering~ )
Beth couldn't believe her eyes as the tall boy in front of her decimated the creatures she and her brother had such trouble killing.
At around 1.9m tall and his bare upper body showing his rippling muscles and perfect physique, Beth felt her breath being taken away with every punch and kick or tearing and crushing motion he made.
His short, dark violet hair looked quite exotic and mixed with his wine-red eyes meant he gave a unique kind of devilish handsomeness. All these factors paled in comparison to his strength.
( Author Note - His hair color change is due to his powers~ )
Throwing the 2m tall insect men around like they were toddlers, ripping arms, legs, and heads off like the hard carapace was made of paper mache, his power made a stark comparison to their pale faces and inability to continue fighting.
Beth looked over at her brother and saw he was in just as much awe as she was over their soon-to-be teammate.
"How...?" Was all Beth heard her brother, Anthony, say. She was glad he wasn't just feeling awe, but also the same kind of confusion as her. The confusion was because they'd just been transported to this place.
'How is he already so strong?'
Beth watched as the boy slipped under a fist being thrown at the back of his head and then whipped his leg around, completely crushing the knees of the insect man causing it to fall to the ground. As it was falling, the teenager slammed his fist into its head, driving its head into the ground with more force.
Yellow-ish goo exploded out from the bug's head, covering the boy's fist.
By this point, there were only 2 Insect men left and they both charged at the tall boy with near-instantaneous speed. Beth gasped as she worried for the boy who was their savior but her worries were unneeded.
The teenager stepped forward and intercepted both the bugs, grabbing their faces and lifting them into the air. The bugs grasped and tore at his arms, trying to free themselves but the iron, vice-like grip on their faces didn't allow for it.
"So you two..."
The boy started, his deep voice sounding too calm for his current situation. With a squeeze, the boy popped both the heads in his hands, like popping a flimsy water balloon.
"...Wanna team up with me?" He turned around and flashed them a smile. Beth thought that if he wasn't covered in yellow goo and broken pieces of carapace from the roaches, he'd probably be a pretty handsome guy.
Beth, coming out of her stupor, turned to her brother who nodded his head vigorously.
Sighing, Beth looked back at the tall boy.
"Well, Job, or whatever his name is, said we're a team anyway, so I guess we might as well make it official." She tried her best to hide her shaky voice behind a calm exterior but from his mirthful smile, she knew she'd not done the best of jobs.
Before he could tease her, the teenager froze as he heard a voice behind them.
"Jason...? Is that you, Jason?"
