"We have been walking for an hour in this blasted forest and we still haven't found any animals in the area its strange" Niraya whispered to herself as they scoured the forest for any sign of animals.

The snow was falling down quite heavily today so any tracks the animal might leave would be quickly covered up by it but still, she could not return to the nest without any food because there is no telling what the adult ghouls and the nest alpha will do to her and her little pack.

"Grrr!!!" as she was absorbed in her thoughts she heard a low menacing growl coming from her left, she quickly ordered her pack to slowly approach the place where the sound came from.

She made her way slowly towards the sound and as they got closer the sound became stronger and stronger and what seemed to be just a growl of a beast at first it turned out to be an all-out battle between two different packs of dire wolves.

Niraya commanded her pack to hide quite far from where the battle of the two packs was taking place.

Dire wolves are bigger and stronger than normal wolves and they are only found in the northern kingdoms as that is where they prefer to live with their packs.

Niraya watched the two packs tore each other apart "the reason they are fighting must be because of the hunting ground seems there is a shortage of food for the bloodthirsty beasts like the dire wolves.....and ghouls" Niraya thought to herself as she continued to watch the bloodbath between the two packs.

She turned her gaze at the two biggest dire wolves those must be the alpha's they were both almost identical with their white fur and big build of their bodies the only thing that separated them was the color of their eyes one had bright blue eyes and the other dark green.

The wolf with dark green eyes took the initiative to attack the other alpha it charged at him and tried to bite the neck of the blue-eyed alpha.

But the blue-eyed alpha was not an alpha for nothing it quickly jumped to the side and counterattacked with its own powerful bite.

The green-eyed alpha took a bite to the front legs and howled in pain but it did not forget to return the favor as he slashed across the blue-eyed alpha's eyes leaving them both injured in short amount of time.

The other smaller wolves of the pack were locked all locked in their own little death battle, Niraya gazed at the battle and secretly formed a plan "no matter which pack wins they will be too spent to defend themselves that's when we will strike" cold light flashed in her eyes as she continued to watch the fight between two packs.

After some time the wolves from the blue-eyed alpha's side were completely destroyed not even one of them was left standing.

Both alphas were equally bloodied and barely stood as they watched each other hatefully, the green-eyed alpha howled in victory as his pack surrounded and slowly got closer to the blue-eyed alpha.

The blue-eyed alpha growled at them which made them flinch for a second but after seeing his injuries and his bloodied body they got confident again that he was no threat.

"Now!" Niraya yelled out and jumped out of the cover of the trees and stood before the victories alpha and its pack.

The green-eyed alpha was surprised and scared for a second but after seeing only one ghoul he relaxed and almost formed something of a mocking smile on his furry face.

"Heh so you think I am actually alone....you are not the only ones who hunt in a pack you know?" as she said that about twenty of ghouls appeared from all sides as they surrounded the pack.

Instantly the same fear he felt the first time appeared again after looking the situation he was in if he was not injured so badly and his pack was still in healthy numbers, this much ghouls would be nothing but that was not the case this time.

He growled at the ghouls and slowly backed away, his pack was terrified as well as they followed their alpha in slowly retreating.

"Gahh!" the ghouls became restless as they watched the wolves slowly backing away Niraya knew that the green-eyed alpha was going to retreat without a fight but she also understood the feelings of the ghouls the only thing she felt right now was a lust for bloodbath "ghouls are truly terrifying creatures....sorry" Niraya spoke as she gave the command to attack the retreating wolves.

That was simply a massacre as the ghouls descended upon them they whimpered in agony as the sharp claws torn the flesh of-of their bodies, ghouls were cruel creatures that knew very well where to strike and what to tear as they loved tormenting their prey and making them suffer before they kill them.

One of the wolves managed to escape the encirclement of ghouls and charged at Niraya in his desperation but instincts took over Niraya and she easily avoided the wolfs attack and grabbed him by the tail, she lifted him up and slammed him hard against the nearby tree a sound of bones was heard as the wolf fell down on the ground.

It whimpered in defeat but that just made Niraya become even more satisfied with herself she knew that as a human these feelings were wrong so very wrong but the ghoul instincts were stronger and took over her quite easily.

She slowly approached the lying wolf and started cutting and carving his flesh out his once beautiful white fur was covered in blood and bits of hanging flesh.

The wolf cried out in agony but that did not stop Niraya it only gave her even more satisfaction it didn't take long for the wolf to die from the injuries Niraya gave it but the way he died was truly agonizing.

Niraya snapped back and slowly stood up and looked at the carved out body of the wolf "sigh" "I need to learn to control my self-better" she thought to herself as she finally looked at the massacre the ghouls made "they ar....we are truly terrifying creatures" she whispered to herself as she made her way towards the last remaining wolf.

She arrived at the scene where the green-eyed alpha had actually killed two of the ghouls despite his own injuries from the previous duel between the alphas.

The ghouls growled at the alpha and were just about to jump at him altogether but they just stopped in place without moving a muscle, this made Niraya look at them in curiosity as she wondered what happened she heard a loud cry of the green-eyed alpha.

As she looked at the alpha she was very surprised at the scene she saw before her, the little-bullied ghoul actually jumped down from a tree and onto the alphas back.

She tore his back continuously and even bit him down on the neck with her razor-sharp teeth, the alpha tried to shake her off but to no success as the little ghoul stuck her claws too deep into his flesh.

It wasn't long before the light in his dark green eyes left him and he slowly collapsed on the blood covered snow. The little ghoul jumped of-of him and made her way towards Niraya with a happy smile and bloodied face.

"Wow, I take it back you are truly a ferocious little ghoul aren't you little one?" Niraya squatted down and petted the head of the little ghoul which in turn made the little one wave its tail around furiously.

"Maybe I should give you a name...to all of you actually if I am to be an alpha I think you should have names there are only nineteen of us left, after all we should stick together as a pack!" as Niraya spoke the ghouls howled in agreement with her words.

As they made their little cheer one of the ghouls started growling again behind Niraya, she turned around and saw the defeated alpha slowly standing up from the ground.

"So he played dead heh" Niraya let out a small laugh she found it funny that a proud creature like a dire wolf would play dead just so it escape death.

The ghouls were about to jump and tear the blue-eyed alpha apart but they were stopped by Niraya, she walked over to the blue-eyed alpha and just looked at it before she turned around and ordered her pack to start carrying the dead bodies back to their nest.

The blue-eyed alpha looked at her back before he himself turned around and despite his injuries slowly walked away.

"My queen, Galma kingdom is finally making its move our spies have sent their report in haste" a man covered in a fur of a silver dire wolf kneeled down as he presented a paper in his hand towards a woman that sat down on what can only be called a throne but a throne made out of an enormous dragon head she was almost fully covered by the giant head only her silhouette of her could be seen.

The woman took a piece of paper from the kneeling man and slowly read its content with a yawn.

"So those fools are sending the second prince to attack us...if they sent the first prince I would have been worried but there is nothing to fear from an inexperienced brat now is there?" the woman yawned once again and threw the piece of paper into a nearby fire.

"What are your order my queen?" the kneeling man smiled as he looked towards the giant bone throne.

The woman in her forties slowly showed her full face and body, she had red eyes and equally long red hair she wore leather armor covered with a strange fiery red fur that complimented her eyes and her hair she was also rather tall for a woman but that did not affect the wild charm she gave out only intensified it.

"Heh, Tharlur what do you mean? Go and gather the clans and tell them that their queen Halla Olvidort ruler of Eldebar summons them for a hunt only this time the prey are men of Galma!" she smiled wildly and yelled out her orders.

"Ah also inform my son Vestar to return according to the report the army of Galmar will arrive within a month" she spoke up one more time before she returned to her bone throne and once again sat down in its shadow.

"By your command my queen!" Tharlur had a vicious smile on his face as he left the giant hall, the people of Eldebar were often called savages but on occasion even monsters. There was no helping it, growing up in an environment where monsters thrive and you could end up in a belly of one at any moment sometimes gives you the same traits as them in order to survive.
