No way this must be a dream I mean I did plead and beg to the gods but this... If I knew I would be a ghoul in my next life I would have been more specific!

As he screamed in his mind about the misfortune of his newly given life and body the ghoul that tore his cocoon crouched down and grabbed him by the leg and lifted him in the air and brought him closer to his face.

"Wha....what the hell!?" he screamed as the ghoul observed him, he did speak the tongue of humans but all that came was the same gurgling sound as before nothing more.

He stopped struggling as he saw it was rather pointless he was a newly born his strength was nothing, so even if he tried to use the little claws he had they would probably break as they looked rather fragile.

The ghoul kept staring at him a little longer before he spoke in his strange deep voice and he sounded rather displeased as he did.

"Kahh...female another....worthless" as he finished he slowly stood up and carried him off deeper inside.

The man looked around as he was being carried off still only by the leg, he noticed that he was inside some kind of cave possible a very big cave as the tunnels he passed were rather long this cave was most likely a nest of these ghouls.

It didn't take long to register that the ghoul actually spoke the language he understood but what shocked him the most was what the ghoul spoke and said.

"No...I don't remember asking to be a female, you damned gods!?"

And again he or rather a she now, screamed and like before only gurgling sounds came out which rather annoyed the ghoul that was carrying her around he glanced at her which made her shut up immediately out of fear it was pure instinct.

After some time they arrived at their destination, the ghoul tossed her inside a wooden cage and a rather badly built one at that it was mostly made out of branches and sticks.

She hit the bottom of the cage with a thud but this time she didn't feel pain as before when she got washed out with the fluids of her cocoon or rather the egg? She didn't know either.

She glanced down and saw a furry thing on the ground she landed at, most likely a wolf hide that had a really bad luck to get caught by the ghouls and got skinned alive, everyone knows that ghouls love inflicting pain, poor wolf.

"Gagaga" she heard a familiar gurgling sound in the corner of her cage she moved her head in the direction of the sound and saw a bunch of little ghouls just like herself.

"I see so this is where they put their newborns" as she was calmly observing the baby ghouls she saw a group of ghouls were ganging up on a smaller ghoul.

"Ghouls are vicious and aggressive creature by nature so it makes sense that their newborns are the same, to them its strong eat the weak" she thought to himself as the group of bullying ghouls grew even more vicious which made her snap out of her thoughts and look at the group.

The smaller ghoul tried to fight but she was overpowered by the stronger and bigger baby ghouls, looking at them she could only think that the bigger baby ghouls were male and the smaller one was probably the female, looking at bullied ghoul and than at her body, she could only come to that conclusion.

"Damn it so female ghouls are mistreated by birth, ah hell it seems that if I don't do something I am going to end up like that female ghoul" thinking of that she suddenly remembered a famous scholar that once visited her poor village he spoke a lot about ghouls and their nature, for them power means everything within their nest so that would mean that even a female ghoul could control the nest if she was powerful enough.

"There is no other choice I need to show my power to survive...I hope it doesn't backfire and I end up in a belly of a ghoul" she decided to help the bullied little female ghoul but how would she do that as she was rather weak her little arms were thin as paper and her claws were almost non existent she was a newborn after all and the bullies were probably born some time ago already.

As she was thinking how to show her dominance she noticed a rather sharp rock inside the cage, she picked up and hid it behind her back as she made her way towards the group.

The male ghouls kicked and scratched the female ghoul, they made sounds that could only be described as laughter while the little female ghoul was whimpering on the floor.

It wasn't long before they noticed another female making their way towards them, they looked at each other and made a facial expression that looked like a grin.

"I hope this works" her heart was pounding loudly as she was really scared one wrong move and she would probably be killed by these male ghouls not to mention she was rather a coward in her old life as a human but she steeled her resolve which made her fear go away she understood that this was for her survival.

The group of male ghouls blocked her way and surrounded her, she hid the sharp rock in her hand as much as she could.

"Gugu" the tallest and the strongest looking ghoul stepped forward and made the strange gurgling sound like all the other ghouls make but his voice was deeper she was right they are all male.

He charged at her full speed without any warning his claws were already fully heading to her neck, she jumped backwards just in time to avoid the males claws but she did not avoid them completely as they slashed across her right eye, she was lucky as her eye wasn't damaged the claws of the male just tore through the flesh around it.

She slowly backed away towards the wall of the wooden cage, the male was already sure of his victory over her as he grinned at her and made his way slowly towards her, the other males cheered on their alpha.

"Just a little bit closer" she thought as she readied her hidden weapon the sharp rock in her hand.

The male ghoul felt no fear from the frail-looking female as he charged once again at her with his sharp claws he was truly confident that this strike will end it, but she waited for this moment and ducked at the right time his claws hit the wooden wall of the cage.

As he hollowed in pain the female ghoul took this opportunity to attack she hit the male ghoul right in the forehead with her hidden rock, he fell down with an even bigger howl of pain he felt.

She didn't just leave it at that she sat down on him and continuously bashed his head with the sharp rock until the male stopped moving and kicking.

"Huff...huff" she was exhausted from her first fight she stood up all and glanced at the other male ghouls and made a low threatening growl at them.

It didn't take long for the other ghouls to understand what fear was as they looked at the frail female ghoul cowered in the blood of their former alpha.

They backed away from her and let her pass, she glanced at her hand and looked at the bloody rock "this is the first time I took another life...and I feel nothing is it because I am a ghoul? Maybe I should be grateful I don't feel anything" she threw the rock outside the cage and made her way towards the bullied female ghoul.

The bullied ghoul flinched at the sight of a bloody ghoul standing in front of her, she thought that this new ghoul would bully her as well but instead of bullying the other ghoul just crouched down and patted her head with her bloody arms.

She looked at the blood covered ghoul and saw a smile or at least something that looked like a smile.

"To survive I will probably need allies so this one will be good for now even a ghoul should feel gratitude for saving it right?" she thought to herself as she continued to pat the head of the bullied ghoul.

"But still being a female its like my parents knew this would happen and gave me a bloody female name....Niraya.... bloody hell"
