*bang*
*bang*
*bang*
The short, bearded men and women in the box-like stone home were trembling, wondering what sort of monster was smashing the doors down.
"m-mom! what is that?"
"shhh, shh, hush child. that thing can't get through those doors, they're enchanted."
Even though she said this, her voice was trembling as much as the building.
...
silence.
"m-mom, where did the banging go?"
the mother simply shook her head, and made her way to the window.
slowly...
slowly...
opening the curtains.
her breath came short, and her heart thumped loud enough to replace drums.
she looked out, and saw her friends houses close.
...the genads... The wobins... The eye of a giant beast intent on devouring her.
silence.
"Ahhhhh-"
ripped through the window, she looked up at the six-legged beast that crushed her legs, and then ripped them off.
"no! no! please have mercy!"
her pleas were drowned out when blood started to come out of her mouth.
"mom! what are you-"
the father tried to grab his sons arm, only to realize something.
The arm was still in the room, but the rest was not.
"wha-wha-what?"
where...
the doors imploded, and soon all his fears were realized, then forgotten as death enclosed on him.

*thump thump thump*
the Wobins all sighed in relief, hearing the dwarven militia's tramping boots.
Then the sighs were replaced with the screams from outside.
The wobins waited in silence, only able to listen, and pray the same did not happen to them.
*knock knock*
all at once, the Wobins jumped, but soon realized that the noise was made from a steel gauntlet hitting stone.
they slowly opened the door...
at first, they thought nothing was wrong.
there was a male dwarf, standing in front-
wrong.
the dwarf was not standing...
rather, his top-half was being held up by two limbs. though guts trailed out the bottom, the other half was no where to be seen.
an expression of incomparable horror was the only thing left on his face. well, the part that was still recognizable.
Soon, the Genads where able to hear the screams of both their neighbors.
The militia.
Dead.
The Wenfreds.
Dead.
The Wobins.
Dying.
all alone...
With a beast.
*thump*
*thump*
*thump*
All alone...scrambling to find a hiding place...it was all they could do.
*Crash!*
the door fell.
breathing. the deep, extended breaths of a beast that had feasted.
Breathing. The sharp, quick breaths of people scared out of their mind.
Junior Genads: "what is that?! why is it killing us?
oh no... no! no! don't come any closer!
noooooooooo-
Senior Genads:Son...
no, Don't look here! no!
don't-
"aHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Mommy Genads:
Silence.
first my son... then my husband...
I could see it. ripping great chunks out of fredrick.
I'm next.
but... maybe not. after all-
An eye.
then, before I had a chance to scream-
nothingness.
