Weng woke up and started chanting something.
“This will do.”
He later went outside and saw Arthur.
“Good morning.”
“M-morning.”
Weng saluted him like nothing happened yesterday. Arthur was still scared, but he knew he was not going to hurt him.
“So, what are we doing today?”
“I don’t know, really.”
The priest went onto the stage and started speaking.
“Today we are going to continue the fighting.”
Everyone had their eyes wide open.
"But, sir, did we not finish the fighting?”
“Correct, but two of you did so extremely well.”
Everyone knew who those two were. The priest took a deep breath and said,
“Weng and Arthur. You will both fight each other.”
Stolen story; please report.
They both looked at each other with determined eyes.
----------------------------------------
After getting ready, the two of them went up the stage, and everyone was looking at them.
“So, we’re really doing this, huh?”
Arthur was kind of worried, as he knew the pontificate of Weng.
“Let’s do a deal, Weng.”
“What type of deal?”
“If I win, will you tell me about your past?”
“And if you lose?”
Arthur paused and then continued.
“Then I will stop prying into your life.”
Weng smirked and said,
“Then you will lose.”
After saying this, Weng took a stance and lept towards him.
Arthur sidestepped and tried hitting him, but Weng saw this and dodged. He lept backwards as Arthur lept forward.
Everyone was watching this unfold, and they were in awe.
“Stop running!”
Said Arthur.
“Who says I’m running?”
Weng stopped and chanted speed magic. But Arthur was not going to let that happen; he lept through the stage as fast as lightning and slashed Weng in the leg.
Weng clearly was not affected when he hit Arthur in the arm.
Arthur used his other arm and hit Weng in the leg. He was injured.
“That’s a low blow.”
“Since when was this fight about fairness?”
Weng was amused.
“You’re right, which is why...”
Weng started chanting once again, but this one was different. Arthur sensed that same chill from last night.
“Sorry Arthur, it’s time I end this.”
Arthur was confused as he started running towards him.
“….”
Everything went white. Nobody knew who won; was it Weng? Or was it Arthur?
The anticipation was killing everyone, and then finally people were able to see.
“No way..”
“Did he really win?”
The one who was standing tall and mighty was Arthur. Weng was on the floor, knocked out.
----------------------------------------
Weng woke up and found himself in agonizing pain.
“You’re finally awake.”
A female voice spoke.
It was the elf girl, Ciel. She was attending to his wounds.
“Healing magic?”
“You wish, but no, it’s just regular first aid.”
“How long have I been asleep?”
“It’s been three days.”
Weng was astonished when he heard this, but he paid no mind.
“I see.”
