CHAPTER 52: THE DEAL

Houryu stepped out of his house with Sylvia laying on his shoulder and closed the doors behind him as he walked away towards the street.

It was a late afternoon with a bit of breeze blowing, keeping the surroundings cool.

'Shouldn't have worn this jacket after all… but… I do look cool in it so it's okay.' Houryu thought to himself as he walked down the street.

He was dressed in a long white coat like jacket with a high collar and white spring cargo pants with nike sport shoes as footwear.

As he walked down the street, he garnered all types of looks from people on the street, especially from the opposite sex, but he pay'd it no mind as he walked on.

It took him almost an hour of walking to get to Urahara's shop. On getting to the front of the shop, there was a "Closed Today" sign stuck on the door but that did nothing to stop Houryu from walking to the door and opening it and walking into the shop.

'You do shady things in your store but won't even bother to lock the door and expect only a closed today sticker to keep everyone out… tch, is he really the greatest genius to ever appear in the soul society.' Houryu thought as he walked in and saw an opened part of the floorboards.

He could see a ladder that led down to the cavity below Urahara's shop. Houryu simply walked over before beginning to climb down the ladder. It was only a few seconds after he began climbing down the ladder and he already came out into the open cavity below Urahara's shop and Houryu could see what was going down on the floor as he saw Tessai sitting on Ichigo's back before a hole suddenly appeared under them and they fell in.

He continued down the ladder while Urahara explained to Ichigo what would happen if he didn't become a shinigami again in 72 hours.

Houryu finally got off the ladder and walked till he was just a few meters behind Urahara,

"I don't see how that is supposed to be effective in him gaining his shinigami powers back." he said as he stood behind Urahara and watched the whole fiasco.

"Ah… our guest… you finally decided to show yourself?" Urahara asked back while half covering his face with his fan, ignoring Houryu's question.

"Well, I wasn't exactly hiding myself, was I? … also, you don't actually think a don't closed sign would actually keep people out?" Houryu answered back lazily.

"True… but then only people like you wouldn't understand basic courtesy." Urahara answered back again.

"Stop playing the word game with me, Urahara Kisuke… I'm not amused." Houryu answered a bit sternly this time as he wasn't here to play around.

Urahara almost flinched at the mention of his full name, but he stopped himself just in time, only narrowing his eyes a bit.

"Well… what do you want… from me? Urahara finally asked the question that Houryu wanted to hear.

"Yeah, about that… I need you to do something for me… or well not really for me as I could do it myself and you were going to do it either way." Houryu started.

"And what is that?" Urahara cut in.

"I'm going to be passing through the senkaimon that you'll be building to soul society." Houryu finally made his request.

"What makes you think I will be doing that?" Urahara asked as if he was shocked at what Houryu said.

"Well for the fact that you are already preparing that kid behind you to storm soul society." Houryu answered back.

"But what makes you think I can do that?" Urahara asked again, still acting shocked.

"Well… as the former captain of Squad 12, the research center of the jotei 13… I'm pretty sure you can work something ou…!!!" Houryu started to say but was suddenly interrupted by a black coffin suddenly appearing around him and then sending spear like objects at him from all directions.

Outside the black coffin…

"Hado No. 90, Kurohitsugi!!!" Tessai shouted as he had both his hands pointed towards the black coffin.

"Wha…" Jinta had his mind opened wide as he watched what Tessai did, with Ururu beside him.

Urahara also watched, barely glancing at Tessai before glancing back at the black coffin which had now slowly began fading away.

As the black coffin faded out of view, it was replaced by a view of Houryu perfectly unharmed, thanks to the white skeleton aura around him.

Houryu slowly opened his eyes revealing his mangekyou sharingan and looked at them with a slightly peeved look on his face.

"Tch… why do people from this place always attack first without thinking, like idiots…", then he looked towards Tessai and said to him, " You're lucky you still need to be alive."

"Wow... What an interesting power." Urahara exclaimed as he looked very carefully at the skeleton aura around Houryu that was now gradually turning to white flames and dying out.

"Back to what I was saying… I will be using the senkaimon, along with those kids when it is done as I need to solve some business in soul society." Houryu said again, this time looking at Urahara with his mangekyou sharingan with a look that said he wouldn't be taking "No" for an answer.

"Well since I can't stop you… I have a question and a condition." Urahara started.

"About your question… No, I have nothing to do with Aizen, as I'm pretty sure that's the only pressing question for you right now to ask me… as for your condition, do tell?" Houryu cut in.

"Don't harm them or their interests or else…" Urahara started and then the atmosphere around him suddenly changed as his spiritual energy flowed out heavily.

"Don't worry, I have no interests in messing with operation "save the princess" or a bunch of school kids… but even if I did… keke." Houryu answered back with a little laugh, "You can't stop me." He declared in the end, as his own spiritual energy flowed outwards as well, totally suppressing the whole area.

Houryu then stopped sending out his spiritual energy and began to turn away back to where the ladder was, "I take it we have a deal? … also, I'm a bit peeved now, so I don't want to see any black… cats… anywhere around my business." He said before he left the cave with very quick footwork.

"... scary…" Jinta mumbled silently.
