It's been 30 minutes.

The Lizard was sound asleep with its back against the tree. I try not to make too much noise and started moving down.

I am still not completely sure whether it will wake up or not but I have to move.

I was moving from branch to branch and going down as slowly as possible. When I reach a branch, that was almost 3 meters above the lizard, I use appraisal on it.

All of a sudden, a screen pops in front of me.

A metallic, lizard-like creature that has scales as hard as iron. It can heal itself by absorbing metal.

I read its status and there were some things wrong with it, like having no charm or luck, but I only focused on one part.

It was healing.

That was very bad news for me because when it's healed, it will be able to move around. When it starts to move around, it will surely go to the nest and will not be happy to find just eggshells.

I have to get out of here somehow but there is a chance the lizard might wake up as I am moving. It has higher agility and enough strength to chase me, seeing that it could bend those trees and come here while being injured.

I could also wait for it to wake up, see the shells and run away to find the culprit.

I was thinking of ways to escape when suddenly it hit me ‘why do I want to run? I am not in any kind of danger at the moment and the lizard is injured, shouldn’t I finish it off?

‘Can I finish it off?’ I think to myself.

It was a dangerous thought considering that the difference in our stats and level was like heaven and earth. But it could also be an opportunity.

I open my skills and re-read their details.

I was thinking about ways that could kill the lizard without having a front-on confrontation.

After a few minutes of thinking, I got an idea that could work. A very scary and daring idea but if it worked, I could get out of this danger and get quite a few goodies.

It's a high-risk high-reward kinda idea and was the only one I can think of at the moment.

I take a big breath and release it to calm myself down. Now my mind is made up and I am ready.

I move up to a higher branch and use [Metal Handling] to break a big thick branch near me as quietly as possible. I again use the same skill to sharpen one of its ends. if anyone saw me, they could easily guess what I'll be doing.

Yes, I’ll jump off the tree and try to shove this branch in the lizard’s wound.

It is a risky idea and a lot of things could go wrong but there were also reasons I thought this was a good idea.

One, If nothing goes wrong then this will be a one-hit-kill.

Two, I am using a branch from the strongest tree in this forest, which should probably go through its wound easily.

Three, I’ll probably be safe from fall damage because of my new improved body but just o be safe, I'll try and land on its stomach since it looks quite soft.

It's a stupid plan and there might be something better that other people could do in this situation. But I have no time to think about a better plan because the lizard is healing and once it was healed, my chances of defeating it will be zero.

I again take a few deep breaths and walk on the branch to position myself perfectly. I align the metal spike with the liards wound and after thinking about this little stunt of mine a bit more I jump and let gravity do its work.

As I was falling, my heart was thumping and I forgot to breathe.

I was getting closer and closer when finally the spike when through the lizard-like knife through butter.

There was no resistance whatsoever, the lizard had no time to even roar or hiss and was skewered just like that. I heard no noise other than the spike hitting the ground with a *bang*. I was also lucky and had no injuries because just as I had thought, the lizard’s stomach was indeed as soft as it looked.

'I still can't believe I did what I just did' I think to myself while lying on the lizard's stomach.

I could have run and might have escaped, but if I were to do that then nothing would change and I would keep running from these situations.

‘It was a stupid idea but I am glad I did it' I thought to myself as a blue screen was in front of me.
