Chapter 109: To the Grand Quan continent.

“That is Violet Sky Town. Do you see that small green house standing at the southern part of town? That is the house I intend to purchase.”

Yao Jun and Wan Yi were sitting on the back of Little Gray, with Wan Yi pointing at a town in the distance. Others might have a hard time properly seeing the town from this distance, but thanks to the both of them having bird type Demonic beasts, Wan Yi and Yao Jun had much better vision than normal people.

The town Wan Yi pointed at had enough space and houses to house a few hundred thousand people, in a world where a normal city could have several millions of citizens, with the largest cities able to reach the billions of inhabitants, it could only be considered a medium sized town. It had two large roads that went in a straight line across the town, one from north to south, and one from east to west, leading to the four entrances of the town.

The houses in the town were built in the standard architecture of the human race, square wooden houses carved with images of various heroes and legends, with lanterns hanging at the edges of the roof. The houses in Violet Sky Town were all painted with vibrant colors, giving it a very striking and memorable appearance. The house Wan Yi pointed at was a small two story house that was situated at the southern part of town, close to the southern entrance of the town.

“Let's have the others get ready then.”

Yao Jun nodded his head and stood up, raising the gate up from Little Gray's back and into his hand. Wan Yi brought out Xie Bi'An and had her float next to Little Gray, ready for the others to ride on her back. Yao Jun moved the gate onto Xie Bi'An's back and had all the others exit the gate, with Xie Bi'An increasing her size to accommodate all the people.

“Violet Sky Town is not far away now, so this is where we will split up. Brother Ren, inside this ring are a large amount of herbs and materials for pills and medicine, I will leave them with you. Brother Yantian, this ring contains all the materials I have that can be used for forging. Brother Long, this ring contains all the material I have that can be used for arrays. Sister Yi, this is most of the money I have.”

After everyone but he and Guo Luo stood on the back of Xie Bi'An, Yao Jun returned the gate to the inside of his body. After storing away the gate, he pulled out four interspatial rings and tossed them to Lin Ren, Yun Yantian, Wan Yi, and Yang Long. These rings contained most of the riches he had acquired ever since he left the Grand Quan continent, he of course left enough for himself and Guo Luo.

During the one and a half month that they had been flying, they had spent a lot of time getting to know each other better, so as to better know who could do what for Titan's Gate. Yao Jun found that it was in fact he and Guo Luo who had the least talent when it came to doing multiple things.

Thanks to his wandering, Lin Ren had learned how to use herbs and other materials to concoct various herbs and medicines. Yun Yantian had always been fond of weapons, so while he was still part of the Yun clan, he had pestered his father to teach him how to forge weapons and armor.

While they were still in the Yang clan, Yang Yuhuan and Yang Long had both been taught how to draw up arrays. Wan Yi had been a possible successor for the leader of the Demon Race, so she knew a lot about finances and how to rule. Compared to them, Guo Luo had spent her entire life as a maid, and Yao Jun had spent his entire life training, knowing only how to fight.

“Alright. You can take your time visiting your parents, once you return, I'll show you one hell of a prospering business.”

Yun Yantian accepted the ring and spoke with a grin. They were going to create a business that sold various items and use it as a front, hiding the truth about Titan's Gate for as long as possible. Yao Jun gave the others a quick farewell before he made Little Gray turn around and fly in the opposite direction of Wan Yi and the others.

Yao Jun and Guo Luo both entered the gate once more, allowing Little Gray to fly at full speed. The place they were headed now was the Guan clan, which would take them around two days of flight if Little Gray flew at full speed.

“Once we reach the Guan clan, if it looks like things might go wrong, I will immediately pull you into the gate.”

Yao Jun would not completely trust Yao Luying just because he said that they could use the Guan clan's Spatial Array if they mentioned his name. After all, there was no telling if he had actually said the truth. But right now, Yao Jun knew of no other way to return home, so he had to take the risk.

After flying for two days, Yao Jun made Little Gray land on the ground at a covert location nearby the Guan clan headquarter. Some cultivators did indeed manage to tame Demonic beast and use them as pets, but Yao Jun had no way to explain how he managed to make Little Gray reside within his chest, so it was best for them to walk the rest of the way.

The Guan clan headquarter was not located inside a massive city, it was an utterly massive palace that housed all the important members of the Guan clan, as well as their families. The walls of the mansion were made out of a strange type of wood that radiated a pressuring feeling, the history of the Guan clan ancestors were carved into the walls. Every time something memorable happened in the Guan clan, they would carve a new image into the walls to pay their respect.

Guards continuously marched along the outside of the palace, preventing outsiders from entering. The guards wore silver robes engraved with the symbol of the Guan clan, a lone sword cleaving a mountain in half.

“Halt! State your name and purpose!”

As Yao Jun and Guo Luo neared the Guan clan palace, a guard shouted out to them and stopped them. The guard was clad in the silver robes of the Guan clan, with an ornate helmet covering his head.

“We come from the Yao clan and have come to borrow your Spatial Array. Yao Luying said that the Guan clan would let us use their Spatial Array.”

While Yao Jun spoke, he took out the small token that Yao Luying handed him back in Guan's Edge city. This token was the only item he had to prove that he was from the Yao clan, as all his other items were in the interspatial ring that Guo Jiahao had taken from him.

“Yao Luying? You must be Yao Ling and Yao Yaling! Please follow me, I will take you there immediately.”

The guard looked confused for a second when he heard Yao Luying's name. But it seemed like a light went off in his head when he saw the token, his voice quickly turning polite as he gave a short bow and brought Yao Jun and Guo Luo into the Guan clan palace.

“It seems like he made up a false status for us to make it easier to use their Spatial Array.”

While they were walking through the long corridors and through a few halls, Yao Jun and Guo Luo were whispering to each other. Since the guard called them Yao Ling and Yao Yaling, it seemed like Yao Luying had made up a false status for them.

“Halt. Where are you bringing these outsiders?”

After walking for a short while, they were stopped by another guard that was standing in front of a door.

“Reporting. They are the Yao Ling and Yao Yaling that we were told to be on the lookout for. I am taking them to the Spatial Array.”

The guard who brought them here quickly gave a bow and walked forward, hurriedly explaining the situation.

“I see, carry on.”

After hearing their name, the other guard hurriedly stepped aside and opened the door, his voice faltering slightly. After passing through the door and then passing through a few gardens as well as a few grand halls, they arrived in a small hall.

At the other end of the hall stood an elegant middle aged man with short hair brown and a small stubble, clad in a silver robe decorated with the insignia of the Guan clan. Behind the middle aged man was a single door, Yao Jun could feel the energy of a Spatial Array seep out from behind the door.

“So you are Yao Ling and Yao Yaling. I am Guan Ning, it is a pleasure to meet you. Patriarch Luying has already told us that you would be coming eventually, so we have already prepared the Spatial Array and kept it ready.”

The middle aged man gave Yao Jun and Guo Luo a deep bow, his face holding a polite smile as he spoke. His polite facade almost covered it, but Yao Jun had been able to see a sliver of fear in the eyes of Guan Ning as he bowed.

Yao Jun was slightly surprised when he heard how Guan Ning referred to Yao Luying. Yao Jun had assumed that Yao Luying had a high status within the Yao clan, but he had never expected him to have such an exalted status.

At the same time, he also quickly realized something. This Guan Ning obviously held a high status within the Guan clan, one could tell this by how the guard that brought them here did not even dare raise his head while Guan Ning stood there.

Guan Ning acting this polite with Yao Luying would be one thing, but since he was acting this polite to them, Yao Jun could only come to one conclusion. And that conclusion was that the Yao clan was much stronger than the Guan clan, to the point where the Guan clan did not even dare think of offending them.

After thinking over it a bit more, Yao Jun found that it made sense. The Guan clan was the strongest clan on the Guanyu continent, while the Yao clan was one of the four strongest clan on the Grand Quan continent. The Grand Quan continent was over three times the size of the Guanyu continent, so the quality of the clans would obviously not be on the same level.

“Here we are. Once you return to Patriarch Luying, do send him my greetings.”

Guan Ning did not waste any time, opening the door behind him and allowing Yao Jun and Guo Luo to enter it. Behind the door was a completely empty room, the only thing inside it was a massive array drawn into the ground, pulsating with the energy of space. Yao Jun recognized this as a spatial array as he had seen one in Golden Moon Town once, only that one was much smaller.

Guan Ning held a flattering smile and brought Yao Jun and Guo Luo to the center of the array. Once he made sure that they stood securely within the center of the array, he gave a short bow before leaving the array and starting it up. Space around Yao Jun and Guo Luo quickly turned viscous, a bright white light blinding their vision.

After their vision turned completely white, Yao Jun felt the token that Yao Luying had given them release faint heat that seeped into the space around them. Once the bright white light vanished, the token cracked and turned to dust in Yao Jun's hands. Yao Jun gave the surroundings a quick glance, but they did not arrive in the Yao clan as he had expected.

The place they had arrived was an empty plain covered in snow. There was a square jade plate engraved with an array beneath their feet, as well as two jade slips. Yao Jun did not know exactly where this was, but he could feel it in his chest, he had come home.
