Part 1
The Ancient One, a unique being whose strength is said to be immeasurable. He is classified neither as a god nor mortal nor demon. He has the strength of a God, the body of a demon and the temperament of a human.
What is the strength of the Gods? They control the very laws of nature. Their magical power exceeds all imaginable scope. They are so powerful that their very presence in the mortal realm creates dimensional disturbances. With such awesome power, who could the Ancient One possibly fear?
The body of a demon is known for its tough endurance. Although its endurance is slightly lesser than the divine body of a God, it comes with its own advantages. The biggest advantage being that it can cross into any realm without distorting that realm or placing any restriction on the powers of the demon when in another realm. How else could the Ancient One roam around so freely in the mortal realm?
For these two reasons alone, the Ancient one was envied by all. As it had been previously said in envy, “The Ancient One has the best of both worlds.”
Part 2
Ryu eyed the thirteen opponents carefully. He took a step back – away from the ‘destroyed’ person which collapsed to the ground lifelessly. Ryu opened his fist to reveal crushed bits of metal and electronic gadgets. “Tch…” Ryu silently muttered. “Lifeless dolls again…”
The ‘Tch’ muttered by Ryu wasn’t one born out of frustration but rather boredom. This was wasn’t the first time Ryu had faced this ‘type’ of an enemy. Since his awakening, he had battled these lifeless dolls many times – mostly in a white closed room. Ryu did not have memories of how he ended up in the ‘white room’ but he could vaguely recall a desperate plea of help buzzing in mind which ‘woke’ him up from his deep slumber. His awakening happened nearly five years ago, since then Ryu travelled the world looking for the one who woke him up. However, Ryu never heard that voice again. Whose voice was it? Why did he have need to search out the person? Ryu did not know the answer to these questions. However, he decided to seek out this person to gain some new insights or find answers to his some questions he had.
During his five years of travelling around the world, Ryu encountered many new sights and human wonders; each more marvellous than the previous. His favourite marvel was the city known as Amsterdam – although countless years had passed the lizards perverted personality did not change in the slightest. Of course, there were numerous times during these travels when Ryu had to fight these lifeless dolls. However, in Ryu’s eyes they were nothing more than irritating flies. How could these dolls compare to the strength of the Ancient One – a being that has existed since the dawn of time?
Ryu normally fought a little before running away rather than completely destroying all the dolls. This gave the other side the false impression that Ryu was too weak to deal with all the dolls. This was far from the truth. Ryu only chose to flee because it was convenient to him or he was bored of the city he was visiting. One could even go as far as to say, Ryu never finished the job because he was too lazy to destroy all the dolls. There was also the voice of the old man that accompanied the dolls. Although Ryu had never met the person behind the voice; he had become somewhat of a companion to Ryu in this vast lonely world. In a world where Ryu knew no one, this voice was the only familiar thing he had as close as to calling a companion. If Ryu revealed his true oppressive strength, he was afraid that he would lose his only companion. Hence, Ryu treated the dolls nothing more than an alarm clock which signalled the time to depart for a new city. This is how Ryu had lived his life for the past five years; tourist-ing and running away.
However, today Ryu decided to end this chase game of cat and mouse. Ryu had not only grown tired of living this way but also found something more interesting; the human boy in night pyjamas - Shin. Although, Ryu could not pinpoint the reason accurately, there was something about Shin that attracted others towards him. There was also the reason that Shin had an unusually high perceptivity of his environment; a quality rarely seen in humans. There would be plenty of martial artists amongst the humans who would detect the malicious auras of these lifeless dolls but very few would be as young as Shin. Where did such a young boy learn such excellent detection techniques? Does he have a teacher or is this his talent?
Ryu rarely meddled with the human realm. However, every now and then, he would find an interesting human and take interest in their life. Ryu recollected the last interesting person he met was….Oda Nobu….???, Ryu frowned as he could not remember that humans name. Nonetheless, that Oda-chap was one such interesting person and his ambitions were Ryu’s source of entertainment. However, that was very long ago and much time has since passed. In Ryu’s eyes, Shin held even more potential than that Oda-chap. Ryu’s eyes twinkled with a childish naughtiness as many ideas bloomed in his mind.
For these reasons, Ryu decided to end this little game with the genderless voice on the other side. Maybe, something interesting would happen in this boring world, if he were to rattle up the other side.
Part 3
Ryu dashed past the thirteen cloaks, in the smallest of openings he could find in their formation. Although, the controller of the thirteen cloaks was surprised that Ryu could escape from his clutches so easily, this was well within his plans. The thirteen cloaks were ordered to chase after Ryu.

Ryu ran further and further away from the city. If there was one thing he learnt after awakening in the human world, it was to avoid making a scene. In the past it did not matter so much. Ryu could create a little trouble here and there and no one would mind it. Even if the guards were to come running to the scene, Ryu would be long gone by then. However, things now were very different. The humans had progressed in many fronts. ‘Wanted Posters’ could appear from one city to another, instantly. Although, Ryu could wipe out the entire human race, it was not in his taste to do so. Furthermore, if he created too much of a ruckus in the mortal realm then more troublesome beings would come after him. The last thing, Ryu wanted was more meddlesome being coming in the way of him and his entertainment (Shin).
“Kukukukuku, Emperor-sama if you think you will be able to out run these minions of mine, you are grossly mistaken!” The genderless voice spoke. “I have been analysing your body and moves for a very long time now and have built these minions specifically with the specifications to be able to resist you.”
The thirteen cloaks appeared to be flying behind Ryu but that was not the case. The ‘dolls’ were using movement technique and super human power to execute gliding like leaps through the air. Each step that the dolls took, would leave behind one inch deep feet impressions. By keeping a low center of gravity, the dolls made use of their abnormal levels of strength to achieve speeds faster than a cheetah!
Ryu turned his head as he eyed his opponents at the back. So slow!
He was already intentionally running slowly so that they could catch up to him. Normally, he ran away extremely fast; so fast that he left no trail behind him and left the enemy believing he was hiding. That was the conclusion anyone would reach, since common sense would dictate that it is impossible to run any faster than they already were. However, Ryu never bothered to think what his opponent was thinking and never intentionally mislead his enemy in this manner.
“Kukukukuku, Emperor-sama this is the end of the road for you!” One of the cloaked figured spoke up as it suddenly accelerated.
Ryu was slightly surprised as he noticed half the cloaked dolls passing him, and forming a formation that surrounded him.
Were they hiding their real strength all this while?
Probably...but even this sudden spurt in speed could only be considered as meagre increase for someone of the calibre of the Ancient One.
The other side did not miss Ryu’s surprised expression. Two spectacle lenses lit by blue computer screens rose slightly as the wearer smiled. In the safety of his shelter, thousands of miles away, the enemy was gloating in satisfaction seeing Ryu’s surprised expression when his minions accelerated. It had taken many years of research, but finally his hard work was beginning to bear fruit.
Ryu glanced at his surroundings. They were now far from the city. They had headed straight towards the center of a large forested area. These woods were quite spacious. Ryu was satisfied with the location, even if he were to release all of his strength it was unlikely that the humans would come here immediately.
“Kuekekeke, where will you run to now Emperor?” One of the cloaked dolls teased Ryu.
Ryu let out a wry smile. He did not even consider these dolls to have the qualifications to stand under his feet. The other side sounded to him no more than a child gloating over his new toy.
“Speak those words when you have truly defeated me foolish child.” Ryu replied sincerely. Ryu was one of the strongest beings in existence for countless years, however he was never once conceited about it. It really did make Ryu wonder the basis of arrogance the other side had. Only the ignorant were arrogant…
In his eyes, all humans could at most be considered ignorant children.
“hahahaha….foolish child….when you know of this one’s age, then you will realize the true gap between our ages.” The other side replied while believing Ryu was thirty-something at most.
Ryu’s eyebrow was slightly raised at the comment. Seriously, wasn’t the other side too arrogant?
As the Ancient One, Ryu had rarely come across people who dared to be arrogant in front of him. There might be the occasional stupid human who had no idea who Ryu was but the opponent in front of him had seen his strength sufficient number of times. Yet despite so many beatings, the other side has yet to acknowledge the gap between their strengths. Furthermore, wasn’t the other side proving how weak they were by sending only dolls? A true warrior would fight their own battles, yet this arrogant and ignorant punk always sent some worthless trashy dolls to fight in his place. Also, what did Ryu do to earn this punk’s wrath? Why were they chasing him? Somehow thinking such thoughts started pissing Ryu off.
Maybe the other side was nothing more than a spoilt stupid brat?
