After leaving the house we went to the subway and from there to Shibuya. Walking to the cafe mentioned by Sakura I look around and notice a lot of people, the crowds in Shibuya are extremely large and it bothers my hearing so I cover my ears with my hands.
I lift my head from the ground and see the name of the cafe and sit down at a table, the heat was unbearable so I look for a shady spot and sit there. Staring into the phone I hear my name in the distance.
" Ishikawa-kun! "
When I lift my head from the phone I see Sakura running towards me and stopping in front of me with a calm and cute smile.
"Oh hey Sakura-san"
Sakura grabs my hand and pulls me to my feet and drags me after her inside the cafe where she seats me at a table.
" What would you like to drink? "
I look at her and say " I don't drink anything, thanks for asking". I turn my head towards the phone.
Sakura looks at me a little strangely but she goes to buy an iced coffee so she lets me settle down. Looking into the phone I hear the sound of the coffee shop door opening. Looking who came in was that guy I helped him up off the floor.
- Tanaka-kun? Interesting.
I turn my head back to the phone and that's when I hear something being put on the table, when I look up it's a drink and Sakura is holding her drink.
" I said that- "
Sakura puts her hand to my mouth. " Just taste it, I didn't know if you like coffee so I got you a strawberry milkshake " she tells me sitting down at the table.
I take a sip just so I don't upset her and say it's good even though I hate strawberries. I continue to look at my phone though and she looks at me and sips from her coffee.
" Ishikawa-kun, why are you always silent? "
Hearing this over the phone and I look up at Sakura and she stands with her face close to my face. I didn't know what to say so I made something up.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Well I don't have the welfare of talking to people" I say without any visible facial emotion.
" You mean you don't like talking to people? " Sakura asks me and takes another sip of her coffee.
I look at her blankly for a few moments, thinking about what to say, thinking about what I might say so I don't seem like a bigger freak than I am.
"It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I have a lot on my mind and don't have the time or desire to talk to people at the moment".
Sakura looks at me puzzled by what I said but looks behind me for a moment and then back at me. I wanted to get out of there faster and go home.
" Hm, honestly we have two completely different personalities, I like to make friends and you, you always stay quiet".
I looked at her without saying anything and looked into my phone again continuing to read the book.
" Ishikawa-kun " Sakura says in a calm tone.
Lifting my head from the phone again I look at her and she looks into my eyes.
" What is it? " I ask her.
She gets up from her chair and lifts me off my chair.
" Let me introduce you to Shibuya, don't sit so sullenly all the time, we all have to smile! " she says to me and we walk out of the cafe.
Leaving the cafe she pulls me after her and we end up at a gambling hall in Shibuya. She buys two game tokens and sits on a chair next to a video game machine.
" Come on, Ishikawa-kun! " she says smiling calmly at me.
I finally put myself on one of these video game machines and she hands me the other token. Taking the token I put it into the video game machine and it opens, the interface was of a street fighting video game.
" I look so little but I beat you easy at these games " she says and rolls up her sleeves.
I feel some attempt at a smile on my face but focus on the image in front of me. "Let's play," I say and enter the game. She enters the game and the game fight begins.
By playing I managed to beat Sakura in the first round and she got a little annoyed but still confident that she will beat me.
"I'm not giving up until I beat you at this game" she says focusing more on the game.
- I seem to feel ok, not great but ok.
I get my hand on the joysticks and round two starts, she manages to hit my character out of the game and consume 30% of her life but I kick her character and deduct 32% of her life.
She pulls the levers and catches me in a combo, and the loser of the round is me this time. I take my hands off the joysticks and look at Sakura who is laughing in thought and has a smile on her face.
"Looks like you beat me" I say and I want to get up but I see that there is one more round, round 3 to be exact the last round.
" Did you think you'd get off that easy? " Sakura tells me and focuses on the game even more.
" I wasn't thinking but rather waiting for you to give up " I say and put my hands back on the joysticks ready for the final round.
The final round started and she was ready to attack when I put her in a combo and gave her character a lot of damage. Annoyed she pulls the joysticks and presses the buttons managing to put me in a combo.
She gave me 6 combos and I was low on life but I got my revenge and beat her and the winner of the round is me. I get up from my chair a little cheerfully with my hand raised.
Sakura doesn't say anything but looks at me smiling, seemingly succeeding in fulfilling her goal.
" It was a nice day " Sakura tells me and smiles.
I look at her with a smile discernible on my face.
" It was, it really was a nice day " I tell her continuing to keep my smile.
Sakura smiles at me and wants to leave but I grab her hand. She blushes and looks at me. "Is something wrong? ".
" Nothing special just paying you for today" I say and take my wallet out of my pocket.
" No need, honestly " she says.
I don't say anything and just give her the 1400 yen she spent on me today.
" Here it is, thanks for bringing me with you today".
I let go of Sakura's hand and she looks at the money.
" Oh well Ishikawa-kun, thank you very much and I appreciate you enjoying today ".
She takes the money and smiles at me. " Bye " I tell her with a smile to which she replies also with " Bye " in a calm and nice tone and she leaves.
The smile wipes off my face and I walk in the direction of the subway.
