Hello everyone! I am back for chapters!!!!

Before I give you this chapter, I have couple of news for you all. One is tomorrow, I will write a status report for three races that were introduced (no image yet sadly). I am gonna add a huge list that will be labelled as race list. There will be also characters list and items list that will be added later on for you. An example for item lists are artifacts and other important items that will be introduced into the story.
The second news is I recently found an editor who I am talking to at this moment. He said he will contact me if he has time, so hopefully we have better chapters that will be arriving shortly!

so anyways that is all the news for you and here is today's chapter.

(Underground of the Abyss, Testing grounds)
As everyone fell into the deep pit below, Everyone cried out in disbelief as they plunged into the darkness. Everyone around them were screaming the airs out of their lungs. Few of the contestants who luckily had wings, began to slow their descent while few magicians began to cast spells hurriedly, in order to slow their falling. While few of the members began to try to save themselves, majority of the people clinged onto whoever they could find, so that they can desperately save themselves.
The trios hurriedly tried to find a way to break their fall. As Lucarius sweeped his surrounding, Mia signaled the other two. She quickly began to chant something , as she closed her eyes to concentrate. Suddenly three leaves, the size of a sled appeared within her hands. Lucarius and Grayl came closer to her so that they can each reach for the leaves. Understanding the situation, people around them started to cling onto her, trying to preserve their lives. Mia screamed as people swarmed her. She had nowhere to go, and the ground quickly approached them. Lucarius and Grayl threw all those people that clinged onto her, while the ground grew closer and closer towards them.
Suddenly Grayl grabbed his short sword from his back and began hacking the remaining people. Seeing that a threat approached them, they yelped and released her. This gave them enough time to grab one of the leaves before they crashed towards the ground. They used the leaves as parachute and deescended slowly towards the ground. Lucarius sighed in relief thinking it was over. Suddenly out of nowhere, a sword came flying towards Lucarius. Mia and Grayl screamed as the sword flew closer to Lucarius, only to fly past him.
Lucarius looked at the two and gave them a nervous grin. However when he looked up. the sword manage to destroy his parachute. The only thing Lucarius did was stare in disbelief as he began plunging once more towards the ground.

(The dark bottom of the testing ground)
Lucarius was back into the void inside his mind. He thought that he finnaly died after exhausting all his luck to survive this far. He let out a sigh and began reflecting on how he lived his life. As he was reflecting, an image popped in front of him, startling him, as he did not expect something to pop out of thin air. It showed an image of his life that he was thinking about.
"Marvelous is it not?" said someone behind him. Lucarius quickly faced towards the direction of the voice. There stood a man. The man looked threatening as he was cloaked with a black cape and a hood that covered most of his face. He stood taller than Lucarius, around two meters, no around three. Although he looked threatening, for some crazy reason, Lucarius felt comfortable around this man. "Pardon me but who are you?" questioned Lucarius.
The man looked surprised as if he forgot the most important thing and revealed his teeth. He gave him a smile and gave a gentleman-like bow. "Oh dear me, a pleasure to meet you Lucarius. You see I always wanted to meet you." Suddenly he looked at his watch and scowled. The man let out a sigh and patted Lucarius' shoulder. "I am sorry Lucarius. Our times is up here, sadly. As for my name, you will find out sooner than later." Before he could question the man, his consciousness slowly returned to reality.
Lucarius was back into reality. His eyes were facing towards the sky. His body ached in pain and he was clearly sure that he broke more than three ribs. As he got up he let out a groan and noticed his surrounding. He was surrounded by corpses. These corpses were those who were unfortunate to survive the fall. He felt something soft and wet beneath him. He looked and found a corpse of a woman. The corpse was barely recognizable, as most parts were splattered all across the floor.
Lucarius could not handle the sight and let out all of the content from his stomach. He did not stop as the smell of death was unavoidable. Suddenly he heard a shout from the distance. He tried to locate the sound and found Mia and Grayl dashing towards him. Lucarius gave them a weak smile, even though the current form he was in was embarrassing to see. "I see you all managed to make it. I-" Before he finished, Mia pounced towards him, knocking him back towards the bloody ground.

Lucarius yelped as he felt the sharp pain from his chest. Knowing that he was injured, Grayl grabbed Mia by the back of her neck and yanked her away from the injured Lucarius. "Good to see your alive, looks like you are quite the lucky man." said Grayl as he gave Lucarius a wide grin. Lucarius smiled back, even though his whole body was in pain. Mia let out a sniffle before speaking up. "*sniff* Sorry Lucarius, it was all my fault. *sniff *sniff* If I wasn't so useless, you would't have nearly died like that." Suddenly she let her emotions go as she cried in front of Lucarius.
Lucarius have never had a grilfrind nor have he interacted with the opposite gender. So when Mia started to cry, Lucarius began to panic and tried his best to calm her down. "Um...Mia, it's fine...Your still fine and I'm still fine so it's ok...right?" Lucarius started petting her, hoping that it will ease her somewhat. She managed to control herself and her wailing died down. Seeing this from the side, Grayl let out a sigh. Somehow he looked annoyed. He grabbed something from his pouch. What he was carrying was a ring. Grayl inserted the ring then brought out a mysterious vial. Then he offered the vial to Lucarius. "Drink. It will heal your wounds." said Grayl simply, while passing it to Lucarius.
Lucarius accepted the strange vial. The liquid was milky and was bright red. He slowly poured the content into his mouth. When he tasted it however, he felt like throwing up the content. It tasted bitter and something very strong. After recovering from the shocking taste, Lucarius took another sip. From his wounds, steam arose. Later his skin began to bubble as if it was some sort of stew. The scene looked very grotesque. It took all of Lucarius' courage, in order to not throw up. Slowly the bubbling began to subside and his skin become anew.
Lucarius felt as if he was born again. His skin was smooth and his wounds wer as if it was never there. Although he felt some phantom pain when his bones were broken, he knew that his bones were repaired. Grayl nodded in astonishment before saying. "You owe me another health potion after this." Lucarius was about to thank Grayl but was interrupted as the announcer from before slowly descended toward the remanding competitors. At first it looked like he was alone but soon noticed that there were three people beside him.
The announcer and the people beside him scanned the room, looking at the remainding competitors. Than the announcer spoke up. "Congratulation for surviving your first trial. I could see that almost half of our competitors did not make it. Their bodies will be sent to their relatives." Then with a snap of his fingers, the body simply vanished. Mia gasped and whispered to her partners. "That is a high class light magic, teleport. Not only that, he can teleport object wherever he wants!" Lucarius stared at the anouncer. Just how powerful is that small old man?
"For those who have survived, we will commence the second trial. The second Trial will be passed to your examiner, Varen Von Burnius." Everyone gasped when a tall man with ebony skin apeared in front of the anouncer. This man's muscle was quite defined and was seen through his uniform. He had three horns protruding out of his head. There was also visible dark tail that looked rather scaly and a pair of what seems to be bat wings. His eyes looked as if Lucarius was seeing an endless void, as if it was purely made from darkness.
The examiner looked at the surviving competitors. "I thank you for all of you to come here and congratulate your first trial. Your second trial relates to your endurance and strength." The man suddenly jumped down. "Now I want everyone to follow me. Make sure you do not fall behind as you will lose your way from here." Then he started to jog towards the entrance of a tunnel. Lucarius and the rest of the competitors began to follow. The trios wondered what kind of obstacle this trial had. Soon they entered deep into the tunnel.

Hey guys, I thank you for reading today's chappy. Also I have to make a remainder. Make sure you member every minor things. Why you ask? You see may use fore shadowing and some hidden details that could be very small but later affect Lucarius and his friends/family in a way. Also there will be another chapter. Also I will be uploading the new concept art very soon (no color). The concept art will be show casing low humans and demi-humans (Tigre)
