"Shit," the doctor cursed as Theo began seizing. He yelled for assistance as he laid the bed flat. When assistance arrived, they began untying the restraints and inserting medicine through the IV. Theo's body curled in on itself as the seizure continue to shake and rack Theo.
"You're okay," Dr.Scott soothed. "You're okay, Theo." Globs of saliva slid down Theo's cheek. The medicine took, and Theo's body slowly stopped shaking. Tears rolled down his face as he laid there confused and disoriented.
"Oh my god!" A woman's voice yelled.
Theo's mother ran to his bedside as she saw the group of doctors and nurses.
"What happened?" She asked Dr.Scott.
"He had a seizure." The doctor replied. "We gave him medicine, and he should be fine for now, but we're gonna keep him loosely restrained for the night." Lisa nodded and thanked everyone as they left the room. Theo's mother sat by his side, and he turned and looked at her. He tried to speak, but all that came out was a grunt.

"Mmmmm-aaaa." He moaned out weakly.
"Shhh, I'm right here baby." His mother soothed.
"Lisa, I got here as quick as I could!" A man who Theo guessed was his father said as he ran to the bed.
"It's rabies, Matt." Lisa sighed. "He's already had one seizure, and he's only going to get worse." She sighed sadly. Theo turned and looked at his father.
"Nnnnnnnn-daaaaadd...yyy." He weakly said. "I'm right here, buddy," Matt said. "I'm right here."
Later that night
Matt and Lisa were sleeping on a makeshift bed when they were jerked awake by rapid beeping of a heart monitor. They turned to see their son violently seizing. Matt sprinted to the door and yelled for a doctor. Dr.Scott and a few nurses came running in. The oxygen tubes in the boy's nose were replaced with an oxygen mask. Just as a nurse was about to insert a calming sedative into Theo's IV, the seizure stopped, and Theo lay trying to catch his breath.
"You okay, baby?" Lisa asked. Theo gave a weak nod as a response. Theo weakly held out a shaking hand, yearning for it to be held. Lisa looked at Dr.Scott who handed her four pairs of protective gloves, two pairs for her and two pairs for her husband. Lisa put both pairs on and grabbed hold of her son's hand. She rubbed her son's hand as his eyes closed and he fell asleep.
