1. A Great Way to Start an Academy Life

“Let me get this straight. You mean that the Damage Inc. placed a spy within the Seoul National Academy. In order to find that spy, I have to become a student of the Seoul Hunter Academy?”

Lee Hyun asked the information broker by typing words on the computer. The only source of the light in his room was the computer screen.

He was a bounty hunter who hunted criminals for money. However, it was not merely business, but also personal as well whenever he hunted down members of the Damage Inc.

“Yes, catching that spy can reveal important information about the organization. The broker communicated through using a secret website that can be accessed by only a few people.

“Do you know the mission that the spy is conducting within the academy?” Lee Hyun asked the broker.

“It seems like he wants to sell drugs within the academy and increase the organization’s influence within the academy.” The broker explained to him.

“Why do they seek to gain influence within the academy?”

“I do not know a clear answer. There are some possibilities for their motives. One, they seek to build connections that can protect them. The Seoul Hunter Academy has plenty of students that are descended from powerful people. The Damage Inc. wants to set up connections with them. Two, they want to make a fifth column among hunters. They seek to hire recruits that can provide information and sabotage hunters that attack the Damage Inc.”

“What kind of drugs are those bastards selling?”

“Now this is an interesting part. They sell special drugs that can enhance the abilities of the hunters significantly. However, they have drawbacks such as: decreasing lifespan, seeing illusions, insomnia, mental illnesses, internal bleeding, and much more.”

“Is there any identifying information about the spy?”

“Unfortunately, not much. The only information I know is that the spy is definitely in the academy.” The broker responded with confidence.

“It looks like I have to play a complicated game of cat and mouse.” Lee Hyun told the broker.

Jung Lee Hyun became a student of the hunter academy.

After classes were finished, Lee Hyun realized that he forgot to carry his backpack to his dormitory.

When Lee Hyun opened the door of a classroom and saw a half naked woman, he knew that he was in trouble.

Although he did not intentionally cause this awkward situation, she still slapped his face.

‘Why am I encountering a cliche that usually occurs in a shitty Japanese light novel? I expected my educational life to be more like a John le Carré book.’ Lee Hyun wondered to himself. If he was a typical protagonist in a Japanese light novel, this event would have eventually led to a tsundere girl falling for the protagonist.

Unfortunately for her, he was not the protagonist of a Japanese light novel.

“Perver-” She did not finish saying that word since he strongly punched her in the face. His body reacted instantly after she slapped him. Her body and hair flew across the classroom like a rock that flew off from a trebuchet.

“Do you think that you will get away with this? Looking at my naked body and punching me?” She shouted in an angry voice.

“Yes, because I did not intend to look at your body. I walked in here to pick up my backpack that I forgot to bring to my dorm.” He responded to her while trying to keep his calm.

“I will never forgive you for looking at my body!”

“How am I supposed to expect that a girl is changing in here, when there are locker rooms for changing?”

While she was shouting at Lee Hyun, he left while she yelled at her.

“It’s him! He is the pervert that looked at my body!” Ji Yung shouted as Lee Hyun entered the classroom. Everyone stared at Lee Hyun.

“What a fantastic way to start my school life.” Lee Hyun muttered in a sarcastic tone.

“I heard from her that you looked at her naked body and punched her!” The male student who sat next to her shouted. Everyone in the classroom was focused on a drama that was occurring except one girl that was reading The Crime and the Punishment.

“First of all, I did not intentionally look at her naked bo-” Lee Hyun tried to clear up the misunderstanding.

“Enough! This is what you get for disrespecting my friend!” The male student grabbed the handle of the sword and removed it from the sheath.

‘It seems like it's too late to solve this dispute with words.’ Lee Hyun thought to himself.

However, Lee Hyun quickly drew a S&W M29 revolver that was in his holster and pointed at his head.

“Go ahead, make my day.” Lee Hyun said with a stern voice.

“I-I will kill you.” Ji Hyuk’s voice was shaking. His grip on his sword became tighter.

They both stared at each other. Suddenly, they felt a coldness that enveloped their bodies.

“All of you shut the fuck up! If you guys want to fight, at least fight outside of the classroom!” Sarah Arrau angrily shouted as the ground below her started to freeze. Other students started to run away from the classroom. Moreover, the ice rapidly grew in size and approached the students.

“Shit!” Ji Hyuk said and jumped on the table to quickly avoid the ice. Lee Hyun used his personal ability, the teleportation, to avoid being frozen within ice.

However, there were students who weren’t lucky like Lee Hyun and Ji Hyuk. Lower bodies of students who were not able to avoid the ice became stuck inside it.

“Maybe this girl has a point. Why not solve this matter in the training room instead of fighting in here?” Lee Hyun suggested to Ji Hyuk.

“Fine.”
