Chapter 2, Part 2

Laya stared at the floating window that gave her information and felt a strange sense of relief; she felt like knowing what her current state was gave her comfort because it lessened the sense of alienation she had descended into in this new and unknown world.

The first thing Laya planned to do was to know where in the hell she was because she just noticed there weren’t any tutorial for how to play the game or information on where she was currently. The description provided during the character selection phase only indicated which kingdom one would begin in; there was no option to specify where one would spawn within that kingdom.

"Ok, I’m lost, and I should probably ask a person here where I am, hopefully they’re nice’ Laya said to herself. Her face wore a nervous mask at the thought of her talking to someone in this foreign place. She hadn't even noticed that her and their language, as spoken around her, matched her native tongue, because she was dealing with an even bigger problem.

Laya saw a woman wearing neat and clean clothes among the slightly ragged wears of the masses. It was clear discrimination, though totally understandable given her current status.

She politely spoke to the woman. "Um... Ma'am, could I ask you a question?" Laya said this with a warm smile.

"Why yes, because I am not in a hurry," the woman replied, with a kind face and graceful mannerism.

Laya felt relieved that she wasn’t declined and that the woman looked like a good natured Samaritan who would be willing to listen to a stranger’s question.

The woman suggested to Laya that they go under a tree shade because the sun was quite the annoyance above them, shining ever so hotter than normal. Laya and the woman sat, and they began their dialog.

The woman suddenly gave forth quite a debatable greeting on whether this is normal or not. The woman asked in a curious tone, "Are you a child of the gods?"

Laya confusedly questions the woman, "Whats that?".

The eyes of the woman shone bright, and her blue pupils expanded in size as she excitedly replied. "You are one! I mean, ehem, let me explain. The Children of the Gods are said to be immortal beings who can gain power beyond that of normal people; they are also said to be selfish and—ehem—sorry, I mean, "love personal care more than anything. Wait, um, I'll stop talking."

Laya just stared at the woman, who was now viewed differently by her as she suddenly remembered her friend Emma, whose way of talking seemed awfully similar to the woman's.

She opened her lips after calming down from the shock by the woman’s personality and answered her question. "I think so. By the way, how do you know that, and how did you know I am one?" Laya’s pre-prepared question changed as the sudden gush of information changed the current of her understanding of the world.

The woman ecstatically answered Laya’s question. "Oh the prophecy of the Children of God falling down from the heavens was foretold thousands of years ago, and just the past decade it was again announced that the god had given the 12 religious leaders of the 12 Major religions the prophecy that your people shall arrive and help us in our needs, though the 4 Evil religions of the 12 major religions said that your people are to befall unimaginable destruction onto us, though I don’t believe a word those evil people say".

Laya analyzed the information that came from the young woman’s mouth and thought to herself, ‘Wow. Just wow. This game is insane. I should probably gain as much information this though I don’t know if any of this would worth to anything currently though’.
