'Wow, it's dark in here.’ Laya said, then a light appeared in front of her, and then that light began to take shape into a blue rectangle with a gold frame.
[Welcome to the Book of Lithias] the window said.
‘...’ Laya was silenced, as she hadn’t expected something at this level, even though it’s just a mere window with fonted text.
Then the text inside changed.

and changed again.
[Character creation is starting!]
After that message, the darkness went away, as she was then greeted by a pure white room. Laya was lying down on top of a crystalline blue platform.
She then quickly stood up and saw a window, but this time it was gray and gold. The text inscribed in the floating window that stayed ever so still a meter and a half above the ground
[Do you want to change your gender?] it asked.
Laya was taken aback by the whole event that just transcribed, though shocked still. She managed to calm down fast and began to answer the question of the floating window.
"No," she said. It was a concise answer, and after that, a quick flash of waiting with her eyes full of expectation.
Then the text inside changed again asking her, her name. [Please choose a name] it said.
Laya answered in a fast manner, “Laya” she said.
Then the text changed again asking, [Please choose a starting class:] It said, after that, windows upon windows appeared around her with generic choices and a few that felt familiar yet alien.
Laya wasn't a hardcore gamer, yet she played a fair share of games before, as at her current era games were as common as sports, unlike the ever-not-so-distant past when it was being constantly critiqued.

[Recruit Foot Soldier], [Apprentice Magician], [Apprentice Ranger], [Beginner Duelist], [Apprentice Chef], [Beginner Alchemist], [Beginner Crafteer], [Beginner Brawler].
The choices all had varying symbols beside them. The recruit soldier has a helmet and a spear; the magician has a hood and something star-like; and so on.
Laya reads all the descriptions of the ones that caught her eye, and when she stares at a choice long enough, another window containing the description appears in front of her in the same gray and gold window and frame.

It was a fighting class like any other, but the reason why she preferred it so much was the few lines in its description saying not being allowed to lose awoke something in her. And so, after a few minutes of thinking, she took up the path of being a duelist.
